Disney gave audiences their first footage from the live-action Tangled, with Tegan Croft (Titans) starring as Rapunzel. The movie is scheduled to release in cinemas on March 31, 2028.

Frozen will be returning with the third installment. Kristen Bell (The Good Place) appeared at the presentation to reveal one significant plot point from Frozen 3: Anna is getting married. <h2>More shows announced by Disney: Lilo &amp; Stitch 2, Hexed and more</h2>Disney Animation’s Hexed has added two particularly good voices to its cast. Jodie Foster (True Detective: Night Country) will voice Queen Celeste, while Walton Goggins (The White Lotus) plays Beef Roger, described as a three-eyed green cat wearing a pink coat who serves as the witch’s sidekick. They join Hailee Steinfeld (Hawkeye) in the animated film, which arrives this November 25.

Disney and Pixar also unveiled another look at Gatto, which is due in cinemas in March 2027. The Ice Age franchise is returning once again with Ice Age: Boiling Point. Queen Latifah and Denis Leary appeared at D23 to tease the latest animated adventure, which arrives on February 5, 2027, in cinemas.

Following the live-action remake, Disney is wasting little time pushing ahead with Lilo &amp; Stitch 2. Maia Kealoha, who plays Lilo, appeared at D23 and revealed the sequel will introduce Angel, Stitch’s pink counterpart from the wider franchise. Paul Bettany (WandaVision) returns as Vision, who was killed during Avengers: Infinity War before being recreated without his original memories or emotions. However, Thunderbolts, in a twist, then were proven to be the Masters of Evil who were disguised. Baron Zemo was the leader of the team. Marvel's answer to Suicide Squad? Everything to know about 'Thunderbolts'!

The first trailer of Marvel's 'Secret Invasion', in which Samuel L. Jackson will reprise his role as Nick Fury, was unveiled during the D23 Expo on Saturday. According to Variety, apart from Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn will return as the Skrull warrior Talos, Don Cheadle as James 'Rhodey'&nbsp;Rhodes, and Cobie Smulders as Maria Hill.

Emilia Clarke, Kingsley Ben-Adir and Olivia Colman also star. Kyle Bradstreet serves as executive producer and writer. 'Secret Invasion'&nbsp;will see Fury returning to Earth and teaming up with Talos to prevent a Skrull invasion. Hill has been calling Fury to help back on the planet, but this time he`s finally back to deal with the dangerous Skrull threat.

Other projects in Phase 5 that will be released in 2023 include 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3', 'Echo', 'Loki'&nbsp;Season 2 and 'The Marvels', as per Variety. The last two projects of Phase 4 will be 'She-Hulk: Attorney at Law'&nbsp;and 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever'.

The event, which takes place every two years, had originally been slated for summer 2021, but it will now take place between September 9-11, 2022 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California.

D23 has become a go-to place for Disney to bring together stars, major news and exclusive footage of its upcoming projects.

D23 most recently occurred in August 2019 and was a star-studded affair. It was announced during the event that they have got on board talents like Dwayne Johnson, Emily Blunt, with some repeat members like Jamie Foxx, Tom Holland, Chris Pratt and the cast of Eternals.&nbsp;

Disney also used the convention to officially confirm that Ewan McGregor was back as Obi-Wan Kenobi for a Disney+series, as well as to lay out plans for Marvel Studios' Disney+ shows.

The move comes as a result of everyone around the world dealing with COVID-19 restrictions.&nbsp;
