According to the Ministry of External Affairs, no Memorandum&nbsp;of Understanding (MoU) will be signed between India and China. The nature of the summit will essentially be similar to the first summit that took place in China's Wuhan last year.

The leaders will discuss regional, global and bilateral issues and ways to boost bilateral ties and trade. Shortly before Xi's departure for Nepal, PM Modi will host lunch for Xi on Saturday afternoon.

The historical city of Mamallapuram holds significance for the Xi-Modi meet. The town enjoys a China connection and has had ancient maritime links with the country during the Pallava dynasty.

Xi-Modi meet comes in the backdrop of Beijing supporting Islamabad in raising the matter of abrogation of Article 370. China had criticised New Delhi's move on Kashmir. Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi raised the matter at the UN General Assembly last month.

India continues to maintain that the <a href="https://www.wionews.com/india-news/kashmir-internal-matter-india-reaffirms-on-eve-of-second-india-china-informal-summit-254806">abrogation of Article 370 is an internal matter</a>.

After a meeting between Xi and Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan, Beijing in a joint statement on Wednesday stated that China is "paying close attention to the current situation in Jammu &amp; Kashmir" and that the matter should be "properly and peacefully resolved based on the UN Charter, relevant UN Security Council resolutions and bilateral agreements."

The airport premises have been decorated with flowers, banana leaves and flags of both India and China to welcome him.

The Chinese President will visit Chennai from October 11-12 to participate in the second informal summit with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The airport is being decked up traditionally with banana leaves, flower garlands, and fruits.

Thousands of Police security personnel have stationed ahead of the Chinese President`s arrival.

Flags of India and China have also been erected outside the airport.

The cleaning process is being carried out around the airport zone.

The second informal summit will be held in Mamallapuram in Tamil Nadu. The two leaders had their first inaugural informal summit in China`s Wuhan from April 27 to 28 last year.

The forthcoming Chennai informal summit will provide an opportunity to the two leaders to continue their discussions on overarching issues of bilateral, regional and global importance and to exchange views on deepening India-China Closer Development Partnership, the Ministry of External Affairs said in a statement.

Following the row over alleged imposition of Bhagwad Gita and Sanskrit on students of Tamil Nadu’s state-run Anna University, Twitter users in the region have started trending the hashtag 'ThirukuralForTamilNadu’, referring to the 1330 sacred classic-Tamil couplets, written by Tiruvalluvar. &nbsp;

Politicians and party-affiliated student groups in the state also reacted after reports surfaced in a section of the media stating that Bhagwad Gita and Sanskrit language were being imposed in the government-run institution by introducing a compulsory philosophy course.

DMK President and leader of the Opposition MK Stalin tweeted, “It is condemnable that there is an attempt to impose Sanskrit by making the Indo-Western Philosophy Course compulsory in the College of Engineering, Guindy, Anna University Campus."

News agency PTI quoted, CPI(M) State unit secretary K Balakrishnan as saying, “This is against the principles of secularism. Introducing the teachings of a particular religion in a syllabus studied by students from all faiths and the state government standing by that is not acceptable”.

A joint statement issued by the All India Federation of University and College Teachers Federation (AIFUCTO), Tamil Nadu Science Forum (TNSF), Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI), Students’ Federation of India (SFI) and Tamil Nadu Progressive Writers’ and Artists’ Association (TNPWAA) said that they stand against the introduction of such a subject in engineering courses.

The statement said, “It is unfair to include a religious book followed by one particular religion in a university syllabus. This will offend the beliefs of the followers of other religions. Such religious books can be taught in theosophical colleges, but not in a university or college, which is against the secular principles framed by the Indian constitution.”

"India is a secular country. The Indian constitution encourages all citizens to develop a scientific temper and self-examining nature. Any secular government will not force a religious text on students in any college because it is against the law and the constitution", the statement added

Speaking to reporters, Vice-Chancellor of Anna University, M K Surappa said, “There is no compulsory course in the institution and that there is no question of imposition. The AICTE has suggested 22 courses under Model Curriculum under humanities, social science and liberal arts. The courses are intended to make the students well-rounded besides their technical education. Of the 22 courses ranging from film appreciation to ethics, values, the Anna University has only selected 12 courses, as we do not have faculty to teach all 22.”

During the four-year course, the Undergraduate students are required to take five&nbsp;of the 12 courses selected by the University. “As two of the five courses are English language courses only three humanities courses have to be taken. Philosophy is one among the 12 courses and only The Information Science and technology (IST) department has chosen the course. The Philosophy course covers Greek Philosophy and Western Philosophy as well. If a student is not willing to take the course, he or she is free to take the other courses”, said the Vice-Chancellor when question about the alleged imposition of Bhagwad Gita.&nbsp;

“There are hundreds of courses in Samskrita Bhaasha listed by AICTE, we have not chosen that among those 12 and there is no question of imposition on any student. This a technological university and there is a wide choice of courses. Similar Philosophy, Social science and ethics Courses were introduced long ago in IITs”, he added.&nbsp;

Of the 22 courses ranging from film appreciation to ethics, values, the Anna University has only selected 12 courses, as we do not have faculty to teach all 22.” During the four-year course, the Undergraduate students are required to take five of the 12 courses selected by the University. “As two of the five courses are English language courses only three humanities courses have to be taken. Philosophy is one among the 12 courses and only The Information Science and technology (IST) department has chosen the course. The Philosophy course covers Greek Philosophy and Western Philosophy as well. If a student is not willing to take the course, he or she is free to take the other courses”, said the Vice-Chancellor when question about the alleged imposition of Bhagwad Gita. “There are hundreds of courses in Samskrita Bhaasha listed by AICTE, we have not chosen that among those 12 and there is no question of imposition on any student. Rajini’s friend and fellow actor Kamal Haasan, who is also the President of political party Makkal Needhi Maiam, lashed out at Amit Shah and said, ''No Shah, Sultan or Samrat can renege on the 1950 promise of the Government of our Constitutional Republic that the people will not have to give up their language, culture or traditions.''

He also added that the battle for the language will be exponentially bigger than that of the 2017 Jallikattu protests and India or Tamil Nadu did not deserve such as battle.

Tamil culture minister K Pandiarajan, whose party the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) is in an alliance with the BJP had warned of an adverse reaction from other states as well.

The Tamil Nadu Police arrested a Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) terrorist from Thoraipakkam area of Chennai in the early hours on Tuesday.

A day ahead of the Passing out Parade(POP) at the prestigious Army Officer’s Training Academy in Chennai, the cadets, their trainers and teams from the Indian Army showcased their spectacular skills and daredevilry - ranging from Equestrian, Para-motor, Gymnastics followed by the Gatka, a Sikh Martial art.

A total of 204 cadets are to pas out of the OTA in Chennai for the batch of 2019. They include 153 Gentlemen Cadets, 30 Lady cadets, and 21 Foreign cadets (12 men and 9 women) from friendly countries.&nbsp;

Speaking to WION, Major General A Arun, Deputy Commandant and Chief Instructor said, “The Passing Out Parade is a Red-letter day in the life of cadets, as they get commissioned into the Army as Officers, the same applies to the foreign cadets that train here and return to their respective armies. 46 weeks back they were young men and women.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be undertaking a two-day visit to Russia from September 4 during which he will take part in the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) meeting and will also hold a bilateral summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Talking to reporters about the visit, Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhale said that two countries have a "special relationship" and the Prime Minister has emphasised on broadening relations with Russia beyond civil nuclear energy and defence to other areas of the economy.

He said oil and gas were among major areas of interest for India and one of the objectives did not have a dependence on any one country or region for imports.

Gokhale said Modi's visit to Vladivostok for the Eastern Economic Forum meeting as one of the chief guests was a signal of the importance that India attaches to the Russian Far East, an area about which India has had few links in the past.

He said India was also looking at the possibility of manpower exports.

"We are exploring the possibility of sending people with some skills in areas wherever there is manpower shortage. That is not limited to just Far East of Russia. This is an effort we are making in a number of countries. This is one area where we feel there is good potential," he said.

Gokhale said the proposal was at an early stage and there has been an encouraging response from Russia.

Noting that most of Russian Far East are either minerals sector or agricultural sector, he said, "We are not yet at the stage of implementing it immediately."

"We will proceed to explore it once the visit is over. It is important for us and we will give it a priority to this," he said.

Answering a query about the proposal to build a shipping link between Chennai and Vladivostok, he said there will be no immediate announcement of a shipping service between the two cities.

"There is a recognition that alternative route to Europe through the northern route is now a possibility and we should look at in terms of economic benefits it might bring us with the northeast of Asia and beyond," he said, adding that a lot of oil and gas finds were in the region.

"It is the start of a process. It will take a while," he said.

“When we choose the forget password option, they send us a 6-digit code to authorize our login. Since it is a 6-digit code, there are 1 million possibilities. We could enter between 50-200 random codes every minute and attempt login, and it could be tried for 10 minutes. With multiple IP addresses, we could use lakhs of codes to attempt logging-in and take control of an account. I sent a video of this method to Facebook and after verifying it, they sent me the payment of $30,000 as this method has a high rate of success,” Laxman told WION.

Subsequently, he spotted another bug where the success rate was relatively lower and received a payment of $10,000.
