"There is a lot of time for it," Dhoni said at an event in Hyderabad, as quoted by ESPNcricinfo. "We have to see what decision they take on player retention etc. Right now, the ball is not in our court.

"So, once the rules and regulations get formalised, I will take a call, but needs to be in the best interest of the team,” he continued.

Meanwhile, the BCCI met IPL franchise owners and other stakeholders to discuss several topics, with the agenda including discussions on the future of the Impact Player rule, which the BCCI introduced in 2022; how many player retentions should happen and how often should a mega auction take place?

If the rain stays put for a few hours, despite the match starting late, the ground will be ready for a full match. While RCB need a definite win and few other results to go its way, a no-result will allow CSK to make it to the top-4 and challenge for a title defence. Additionally,&nbsp;Jay Shah, the BCCI secretary, has made it clear that there will be no split coaching duties - meaning Fleming will have to chalk plans for the three formats.

"We are looking for a long-term coach for three years," Shah had said last week. "There is no precedent of different coaches for different formats in Indian cricket. Besides, we have a number of all-format players. Ultimately, it will be the Cricket Advisory Committee's (CAC) call. I have to implement what they decide," said Shah.&nbsp;

Dravid's contract as the head coach of the men's senior national team expires after the T20 World Cup. A day after BCCI invited the applications,&nbsp;former Australian cricketer Justin Langer also threw&nbsp;his hat in the ring to replace Dravid.&nbsp;

The incident transpired in the 16th over of the match with CSK requiring 22 runs for the win. Facing the penultimate ball of the over bowled by Avesh Khan, Jadeja bunted a short of good length delivery down to third man and called for a double.&nbsp;

However, the fielder arrived on the ball early and released it to wicketkeeper Sanju Samson. Jadeja, meanwhile, set off for the second run, only to be sent back by skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad who had no interest in taking the extra run. Stranded in the middle of the pitch, Jadeja turned and attempted to&nbsp;make a late dash to the crease.

Samson, upon collecting the ball took a shy at the non-striker's&nbsp;stump but only managed to hit Jadeja who was running in front of the stumps. The umpires went upstairs where the third umpire, after multiple replays, concluded that Jadeja had indeed changed his path deliberately to avoid getting runout.&nbsp;

While it looked like Jadeja had no choice to turn around and run in the trajectory he followed, third umpire Anil Chaudhary asserted that the CSK batter had looked behind for the throw from Samson and adjusted his position accordingly.

“There was bereavement in the family. In my uncle's family, there were deaths. A group of gangsters killed the entire family. It happened in Pathankot."

“So, I went there. But there was a bio-bubble in the IPL, where you couldn't return. My father was very upset."&nbsp;

“When the Kachche gang did what they did, my entire family was under stress. I thought cricket came next; I could play anytime; first, my family was important,” Raina revealed.

However, upon his return to the franchise the next season in 2021, Chennai beat Kolkata in the final to win the IPL trophy for the fourth time. That edition was also Raina’s last season in the cash-rich league before announcing his retirement.

"Then I returned, we played the 2021 season. We won the trophy,” he said. "But the previous year, the family was in chaos. They were all in depression already due to Covid-19 and then this happened."
