<h2>'Consipray to kill Kejriwal'</h2>

Accusing the BJP of hatching a conspiracy to kill Kejriwal, Sunita claimed that her husband was denied insulin in jail which he has been consuming for the past 12 years.

"Many people say politics is a very dirty thing, and it's true. There is a camera over his food, his every morsel is being monitored...He is a sugar patient, and he has been taking 50 units of insulin every day for the last 12 years. But he is not being given insulin in jail. They want to kill Delhi's CM," the wife of the AAP national convenor said.

"They can never understand Arvind Kejriwal's thoughts. He believes he has received a very good education and upbringing, which is an obligation to him that he has to repay. He has struggled and fought for the country. He is very brave. He is a lion. He is only thinking about how to ease the lives of common citizens. He is worried about 'Bharat Mata' even in jail," she added.

She then read out Kejriwal's message from jail, elaborating upon vows made by AAP for the Lok Sabha polls.

"He (Arvind Kejriwal) has said if the INDIA bloc comes to power and is given the responsibility, we will all make India great. 'INDIA' is not just in our name, but in our hearts too," the former bureaucrat said.

"He has given six guarantees: 24 hours of electricity without power cuts, free electricity for the poor, quality and free education in government schools, Mohalla clinics in every village, and multi-speciality hospitals in every district. Farmers will get crop prices according to the Swaminathan Commission, and Delhi will be given full statehood," she further added.

Sunita Kejriwal accuses BJP of making ‘attempts to kill’ Delhi CM; ‘his food is being monitored’

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)&nbsp;leader Shazia Ilmi on Friday (Apr 19) joined in the war of words over jailed Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's diet stating that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo consumed eggs during Navratri.

Shazia, during a press briefing, said, "I believe Kejriwal is mindful of what he should or shouldn't eat for someone who is a diabetic. However, what surprised me was that he even ate eggs during the Navratras. I thought he avoided eggs during Navratri as is customary. However, ultimately, it's a matter of his personal choice whether he wants to have eggs during Navratri or not."

Her remarks come after the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Thursday (Apr 18) said in a Delhi court that Kejriwal was deliberately eating mangoes, sweets, and other high-carb food to raise his blood sugar level to build a case for bail.&nbsp;

The counsel said that the Delhi chief minister has been consuming mangoes, sweets, etc, in jail irrespective of saying that he has high sugar levels.&nbsp;

Shazia further hitting out at AAP's claims that alleged Kejriwal's health concerns were being ignored deliberately, said, "Why would a responsible government agency bring harm to someone it is mandated to protect? I believe we need to avoid making such statements."

ED's Special Counsel Zoheb Hossain submitted that the Delhi chief minister was on purpose eating mangoes, sweets, tea with high sugar and Aaloo Poori (popular north Indian breakfast), along with other items in order to prepare grounds for bail.&nbsp;

"As the prison manual stipulates, an inmate cannot be administered an injection in jail. A medical assistant has been assigned to him, who administers him with insulin as prescribed. So, to say that he is being denied insulin is false. The jail administration has confirmed as much," Shazia said refuting AAP's claims of insulin being denied to Kejriwal.

Earlier, following ED's claim, Atishi alleged that there was a "huge conspiracy" to kill Kejriwal.&nbsp;

"For the past several days, his blood sugar level has been consistently above 300 mg/dL. Despite Kejriwal's repeated requests, he is not being given insulin, and his sugar level is increasing. He is not being given medication because there is a plot to kill him," she alleged.&nbsp;

To this, the BJP leader said, "Since his detention, he's only had jail food for two days. Otherwise, he has only been having food brought from his home. He, himself, put in a request for homecooked food, which was approved."

"Anyone with type-2 diabetes would not consume mangoes. He has had diabetes for a long time now. He knows what he should eat and what he shouldn't," Shazia added.

Delhi: AAP Minister Raaj Kumar Anand resigns

A Delhi Court on Wednesday (April 10) dismissed an application filed by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who is under arrest in a money laundering case, requesting additional time with his lawyers.

The court said that the rules and regulations applied equally to him and other detainees. It was alleged that Kejriwal had utilised the legal consultations allowed by the court to issue certain administrative directives.

While rejecting Kejriwal’s plea for five meetings with his lawyers every week, Special judge for CBI and ED cases, Kaveri Baweja, said that he failed to prove to the court that he had been using the two permitted legal meetings per week solely for discussing pending litigations with his counsel.

"The status report/note submitted by the ED indicates that the applicant had provided certain directives to be conveyed to the Water Minister through one of his lawyers whose identity he declined to disclose to the ED during a legal meeting. This indicates that the applicant is not making use of the permitted two legal consultations per week with his legal representatives solely for discussing his pending legal matters. Instead, he has utilised the allocated time for purposes other than legal consultations in the aforementioned manner," the judge stated.

The judge referred to a Delhi High Court ruling which emphasised that every citizen of India is entitled to the protection of the law, and this entitlement shall be equally applicable to him.

Delhi Court rejects Arvind Kejriwal’s request for additional time with lawyers

Aam Aadmi Party leaders on Sunday (Apr 7) held a hunger strike at Jantar Mantar against the arrest of party supremo and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in connection with the excise policy case.

AAP further accused the BJP of resorting to dictatorship with Delhi minister Atishi alleging that the central agencies like ED&nbsp;and CBI are acting as political weapons of the saffron party.

"People of Delhi love Arvind Kejriwal. They don't think of him as a CM but as their son, or brother. All want the bail for Arvind Kejriwal. BJP's ED and CBI haven't been able to show a single penny of liquor scam from the leaders of AAP," Atishi said.

She further alleged that the money trail in the liquor policy scam can be traced from liquor trader Sharat Reddy to the Bharatiya Janata Party.

"If there is any money trail in this issue, it's from liquor trader Sharat Reddy to the BJP. Sharat Reddy donated 55 crores to the BJP... Aam Aadmi Party leaders on Sunday (Apr 7) held a hunger strike at Jantar Mantar against the arrest of party supremo and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in connection with the excise policy case. AAP further accused the BJP of resorting to dictatorship with Delhi minister Atishi alleging that the central agencies like ED and CBI are acting as political weapons of the saffron party. AAP supporters stage demonstrations against Kejriwal's arrest in LA, NY, Toronto, London, Melbourne

Aam Admi Party (AAP) leader Atishi on Saturday (Apr 6) hit out at the Enforcement Directorate stating that the probe agency has established no money trail in the Delhi excise policy scam probe, yet it arrested AAP leaders on the basis of mere doubt.

She then asked the ED to take stern action against BJP leaders over alleged money laundering.

The Delhi minister also accused the BJP of filing false cases against AAP through central agencies like ED, the Central Bureau of Investigation, and the Income Tax and Election Commission.

Her remarks come following a showcause notice sent by the Election Commission on Friday (Apr 5) over her claims where she alleged that the BJP, through one of her close aides, approached her to join the saffron party or else be ready to be arrested by ED within a month.

"ED has been investigating the money trail in this so-called liquor scam. ED is still investigating the money trail linked to any leader of AAP, but they didn't get a single penny of proceeds from crime from any AAP leader," Aishi said during a presser on Saturday.

"The Supreme Court has continuously asked ED, where is the money trail linked to AAP?... But ED has no answer for this. Justice Sanjiv Khanna says the money trail has not been proven, it's debatable. But many AAP leaders have been arrested under this case even after no money trail," she said.

Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh walks out of jail after 6 months, vows to challenge BJP

Sanjay Singh, an Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader, has come out&nbsp;from Tihar Jail following bail granted by the Supreme Court in the Delhi excise policy case. Singh was released on Wednesday evening a day after being granted the bail.&nbsp;

"This is the time to struggle. The biggest leaders of our party (AAP) - Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain - have been kept behind the bars. I am confident that one day the locks of this prison will be broken and they will come out. This is why I want to say that this is not the time to celebrate, this is the time to struggle," Singh said after his release.

A big&nbsp;gathering of AAP supporters congregated outside Tihar Jail, where Singh had been held since October 2023, arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) regarding alleged irregularities in the defunct Delhi excise policy.

Earlier, a Delhi court instructed Singh not to interfere with evidence or influence witnesses. Special Judge Kaveri Baweja mandated Singh to surrender his passport, disclose travel plans within the National Capital Region (NCR), and maintain active phone location tracking.

The Supreme Court bench granted bail&nbsp;to Singh following the ED's no-objection and allowed him to resume political activities but restricted him from commenting on the case. The bench of Justices Sanjiv Khanna, Dipankar Datta, and P B Varale passed the decision, citing trial court conditions.
