Game number fiveof IPL 2024 is between two giants of the league – one is a five-time winner, while the other raised the bar by winning the title in its first season. The mighty Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad will host Gujarat Titans and Mumbai Indians on Super Sunday (March 24) at 7:30 PM IST. Here is the match preview and result prediction of GT vs MI.

All eyes will be on Mumbai Indians' new captain, Hardik Pandya, who switched bases from GT in a trade ahead of this season. Returning to his former home ground, Pandya will hold the key for the touring side in this top-of-the-line clash.
In the absence of a few marquee players like Suryakumar Yadav and an overseas trio of Gerald Coetzee, Jason Behrendorff and Dilshan Madushanka, all away with injuries, Mumbai will field a new-look bowling attack led by Jasprit Bumrah. Piyush Chawla might play ahead of Shreyas Gopal, while Kwena Mphaka or Luke Wood could make their IPL debut.

While David Miller, Rashid Khan, Rahul Tewatia and Sai Sudharsan will start in the XI, Spencer Johnson might make his IPL debut against Mumbai. Umesh Yadav and Mohit Sharma will make up for the MI seam attack.
The weather in Ahmedabad is expected to be hot in the evening, with the temperature searing around 38 degrees. Under the lights, the pitch will assist bounce and carry, making it an even contest between bat and ball.
