We are all set to bid goodbye to the 2023. And, not only year, but we also waved goodbye to some of the most popular shows and all the beloved characters, that had become part of our lives over the years. Whether it was The Crown, based on the life and times of the British monarch Elizabeth II, or it was Mindy Kaling's Never Have I Ever, who introduced us to the troubling yet endearing life of Indian-origin teen Devi (Maitreyi Ramakrishnan).

The Crown
Peter Morgan's The Crown bowed out with the final and sixth season of the show. The first season of the historical TV drama was released on Oct 4, 2017, and became one of the most critically acclaimed and talked about shows in TV history.
Over the years, Netflix drama has made the news in both good and bad sense. While the show took us into the lives of Elizabeth, her duties for the crown and other royal family members received a lot of acclaim. But over the years, the show has been called out many times for the things that have shown about the British Royals and their life.
The series has received praise for its production design, writing, direction, and performances. It earned numerous awards, including a Primetime Emmy Award, two Golden Globe Awards.

Never Have I Ever
In 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, Mindy Kaling introduced us to the troubling yet endearing life of Indian-origin teen Devi (Maitreyi Ramakrishnan). Kaling's fresh take on teen dramas, which normalised the mental health of the growing kids and addressed the past traumas, and their typical teenage life dramas, was well received by the fans.
After four seasons that revolved around Devi's life, her friends in Sherman Oaks, and her family, the show came to an end this year. The show not only went on to earn praise from critics but also became one of the most loved Netflix shows.

Sex Education season 4
The groundbreaking British series was one of the first shows that changed the definition of sex. The comedy-drama series created by Laurie Nunn revolves around a group of young students studying at a fictional school called Moordale as they go on to learn about themselves, their bodies, and their identities.

A true feminist, indeed! Sadly, one of the iconic series, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, came to an end this year. After five rocking series, the groundbreaking series starring Rachel Brosnahan revolved around Mrs. Maisel, a dedicated housewife whose life is only for her husband and her kids. However, her life goes upside down when she learns that her husband is cheating on her. Finding the true motive of her life, she pursues her career in stand-up comedy and learns to live her life on her terms.
Made its debut in 2017 on Amazon Prime Video, the show was a refreshing take on feminism as it told the story of a single woman living in the men's world of the 1950s.

In 2017, we were introduced to the gang of Archies and the town of Riverdale. The series showcased a talented ensemble cast including KJ Apa as Archie Andrews, Lili Reinhart as Betty Cooper, Camila Mendes as Veronica Lodge, and Cole Sprouse as Jughead Jones. The show follows a group of teenagers as they try to uncover the mysteries surrounding the town.
