Yearender 2018: Celebrity weddings that stole our hearts this year

The year 2018 witnessed some of the top Bollywood stars shining even more off-screen than on-screen when they decided to tie the knot with their partners, thereby putting an end to incessant rumours about their relationships.

From Sonam Kapoor and Deepika Padukone to Meghan Markle and Priyanka Chopra, the year that is soon going to say goodbye saw some of the most successful and glamorous singles of Bollywood and Hollywood settling down.

Amy Schumer and Chris Fischer

Milind Soman and Ankita Konwar

India's first male supermodel, Milind Soman tied the knot with girlfriend Ankita Konwar on Earth Day (April 22, 2018) and no prizes for guessing, it was a unique wedding.

Actor Himesh Reshammiya married television actress Sonia Kapoor in a private ceremony in Mumbai on May 11, 2018. The 'Tera Suroor' singer shared pictures from the wedding ceremony and captioned it: "Togetherness is bliss!"

Sonia, who has featured in shows such as 'Kaisa Ye Pyar Hai', 'Yes Boss' and 'Remix', wore a pastel pink floral printed lehenga festooned with a kundan necklace and matching matha-patti. Bollywood's favourite couple, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, tied the knot in a traditional Konkani ceremony on November 14, 2018, at Lake Como in Italy.

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas

Dubbed as the 'wedding of the year' across all international publications, desi girl Priyanka Chopra tied the knot with her American singer boyfriend Nick Jonas in India, in both Hindu and Christian ceremonies. While they took Hindu-style pheras on December 2, 2018, at Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur; they had earlier tied the knot in a Christian ceremony on December 1 as Nick’s father officiated it. Kapil Sharma and Ginni Chatrath

Popular TV host Kapil Sharma tied the knot with his lady love Ginni Chatrath in Jalandhar on December 12, 2018, at a traditional Punjabi ceremony, which was enlivened by popular singer Gurdas Maan.

The bride stuck to the traditional for her attire, and accessorised her look with maatha patti, nath and statement earrings and a layered neckpiece.

'Makdee' fame Shweta Basu Prasad tied the knot with Rohit Mittal on December 13. 

The couple got married in Pune in the presence of family and friends.
