Trump’s Reaction
Former President Donald Trump, speaking to Fox News, confirmed the family tip-off and said Robinson’s father helped authorities. He called Kirk “the finest person” and urged prosecutors to seek the death penalty if Robinson is found guilty.
No Political Affiliation, No Criminal Record
According to Reuters, Robinson had no prior criminal history, was not affiliated with a political party, and was listed as an “inactive voter” in Utah. Public records suggest he had not cast a ballot in recent years.
Suspect in Custody
Robinson was booked into the Utah County Jail in Spanish Fork, about 12 miles from the shooting site. He has not yet been formally charged, but aggravated murder is expected to be filed. FBI and state officials say the investigation is still active. They continue to review surveillance, forensic reports, and witness statements while urging the public: “No tip is too small.”
