Top run-scorer in World Cup 2019 so far
Shakib went past Australia skipper Aaron Finch as the tournament's top scorer with 384 runs.
Shakib has scored two fifty-plus scores and two centuries in the four innings he has batted.
"I've been working on my batting and it's paying off. I know if I bat at number three I'll get more opportunities, more time to bat," Shakib said.
Shakib - fastest to 5000 runs and 250 wickets
Shakib scored 75 runs off 85 balls and put up a 142-run stand with and Mushfiqur Rahim which helped Bangladesh win against South Africa.
Shakib Al Hasan became the first Bangladesh and fastest cricketer to take 250 wickets along with scoring quick 5,000 runs in ODIs, getting there quicker than the likes of Shahid Afridi and Jacques Kallis.
6000 runs in 202 matches
The 32-year-old, Shakib became the second Bangladesh player to pass 6,000 runs in ODIs after Tamim Iqbal, making his fourth consecutive 50-plus score at the World Cup in the match against West Indies.
He reached this milestone in 202 matches with an average of 37.42.
Second World Cup century
Shakib Al Hasan, the Bangladesh all-rounder scored his second century in the World Cup that led them to a big win over the West Indies.
He scored his first century of the World Cup runs against England, hitting 121 runs off 119 balls, while his second World Cup ton came against the Windies as he scored an unbeaten 124 off 99 balls.
Number 1 ODI all-rounder
Bangladesh’s all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan is at the top of ICC ODI rankings for all-rounders.
Shakib has 359 points in the rankings and is leading by 20 points against Afghanistan's Rashid Khan who has 339 points.
He also holds the record for being ranked first as an all-rounder for 8 years.
Nine ODI centuries
Shakib’s unbeaten 124 off 99 deliveries helped the Tigers record the second-highest run chase in World Cup history with a seven-wicket victory.
Chasing 322 for a famous victory, the 32-year-old took control with his ninth ODI century as Bangladesh secured the win with 51 balls to spare.
"Shakib Al Hasan has made it in this World Cup now. In every match he's doing something that's exceptional and let's hope it continues for the team,” said Bangladesh captain Mortaza.
