Poland: Warsaw witnesses pro and anti-LGBT supporters face off
'To stop homo-propaganda'
The demonstrations near the Warsaw University saw chants of "Down with Deviation!" by the participants of anti-LGBT rally, where speakers said they are against "LGBT aggression".
Kaja Godek, an anti-abortion campaigner, in a speech called for citizens' draft law to ban gay pride parades "to stop homo-propaganda".
Rainbow flag burnt
Organised by a far-right movement All-Poland Youth, the nationalist protesters also burnt a rainbow flag at the anti-gay rights rally.

While on one hand, demonstrators burnt a rainbow flag, on the other hand LGBT activists painted a rainbow flag on a nearby street.
'Homophobia is a choice'
The protesters in support of LGBT held banners which read: "We are people" and "Orientation is not a choice, homophobia is a choice".
A divisive issue
In recent years, gay rights have become a divisive issue in Poland, with the ruling Law and Justice (Pis) party, describing "LGBT ideology" becoming a form of communism.
