The robot was used to carry out maintenance work on out-of-reach railway contact line.
The robot has been developed by West Japan Railway Company (JR West) and two other Japanese companies.
The overhead wires of railway conduct thousands of volts of electricity. Maintenance work is thus very risky affair for humans.
According to JR West, the prototype of this robot can be controlled by human operators through VR helmets and remote controls.
The company says that this robot can cut down labour by human by a third.
'Proud of you brother'
No, Optimus Prime never said that in Transformers. At least not to the Japanese robot. Image above shows a man in Optimus Prime suit at a premiere of the movie in 2012.
