
Fugitive diamantaires Nirav Modi and his uncle Mehul Choksi's cars went on an online auction. The cars were successfully bidded for Rs 3.29 crore (approx).
The auction was conducted by the Metals & Scrap Trading Corporation.
Cars like silver Rolls Royce with a reserve price of Rs 1,33,00,000, a Porsche worth Rs 54,60,000, a red Mercedes Benz Rs 14,00,000, a white Mercedes Benz Rs 37,80,000 and a BMW Rs 9,80,000 were included in the auction.

Apart from the above luxuries, the auction even included cars like two Honda Brio, Toyota Innova, Honda CRV, Toyota Fortuner, Skoda Superb Elegance, Toyota Corolla Altis and Toyota Innova Crysta.

The thirteen cars that went into the auction yesterday included the BMW and the Toyota Innova Crysta belonged to Choksi and the rest all belonged to Modi and his group companies.

Before the beginning of the auction, the bidders were allowed to have a prior physical inspection of the vehicles at various locations.

Enforcement Directorate (ED) followed the orders of the Special PMLA court that permitted the sale of these cars.
By 4 pm the highest bidder was known, according to an official of MSTC.
This was communicated to the ED, which took the final decision on awarding the successful bids.
