Met Gala 2019: Best Dressed Celebs This Year

Lady Gaga opened this year's Met Gala as she was one of the first people to grace the pink carpet. The multi award-winning singer-songwriter held the attention of one and all as she came in a voluminous pink gown which she kept shedding until her lingerie was visible.

She literally changed her clothes four times on the pink carpet. 

Katy Perry came dressed as a human chandelier and no we are not kidding! The singer-songwriter lit up the pink carpet as the lights that were a part of her dress came on as she posed for the cameras. 

Later in the evening, Katy changed into a hamburger dress. 

Janelle Monae brought a bit of wizardry with her as she came dressed in a custom Christian Siriano dress—a balloon-hipped confection with a motorized blinking eye over one breast (a twist of gadgetry supplied by Smooth Technology).

Speaking to press at the event, she spoke on the theme of the night and said, “I am camp. It’s embedded in my DNA."

We know many of you after landing on this photo would argue that JLo doesn't deserve to be on the list, not after such a bland outfit but cmon guys, its JLo after all.

Jennifer came with partner Alex Rodriguez who looked much-in-love like he always does.

Celine came in a sparkling, champagne-colored bodysuit embellished with silvery sequins in fish-scale patterns, sleeves draped in 3,000 strands of floor-length fringe made from micro-cut glass bugle beads, all of it topped with a gold-tinted feather headpiece of singed peacock feathers by the milliner Noel Stewart.

Kim Kardashian opted for a wet and wild look as she wore a neutral-looking sheer knee-length dress with gathered details and a plunging neckline with beads and crystals hanging from the dress.

The Jenners, meanwhile, wore plumes on their dresses. 

Lupita Nyong’o has tested positive for COVID.

The actress who will next be seen in ‘The 355’ announced today that she will be unable to attend virtual interviews for the upcoming Universal picture. 

She wrote, “I too have tested positive for COVID-19. I’m fully vaccinated and taking care in isolation, so I trust I will be well. Please do all you can to keep yourself and others protected from serious illness. #StayMaskedAndVaxxed.”

Priyanka Chopra wowed on the pink carpet as she came with husband Nick Jonas. She chose a silver ensemble with matching crown, polka-dotted hosiery and bold makeup. 

Nick, meanwhile, sported an Italian mafia don look with ear studs, Italian moustache and slick hair. The two served us some PDA on the carpet too. 

Cardi B came to the event in maroon-coloured dress that had beads encrusted onto them and a very long train.

It will remind you of the train that Rihanna had in her yellow plume dress. 

Billy Porter reminded us of Lady Gaga and her outrageously fun Met Gala outfits all these years -- but especially the one in which came dressed as an embryo with men carrying her to the venue.

Something similar happened yesterday at the Met Gala 2019 when he came dressed as an Egyptian pharaoh, with a golden dress and headgear that looked nothing short of what an Egyptian princess would wear. He had to be carried by six shirtless men who made an entrance while they held him in his palanquin. 

Harry Styles had a crazy time at the Met Gala as he not only served some pink carpet looks in sheer pant and suit that had ruffles and more. He was also a party starter as he belted out some good numbers at the after-party. 

She donned a sheer striped ensemble with matching platform heels, a cane, a dazzling choker, colorful makeup, and a headpiece featuring eyeballs, dentures, banana peels, a fried egg.

The model came dressed in a white, silver and gold streaked catsuit, with a matching headpiece and coat adorned with feathers, all designed by Michael Kors who was also her date for the evening. 

The screenwriter embraced his fashionable side as he came out in a pearl-encrusted ensemble that looked like a shell by designer Christian Siriano.

He wore a floor-length cape and tonal silk suit completely encrusted with sequins.

Gemma Chan came with designer Tom Ford to the Met Gala in a chainmail dress by him, embroidered with thousands of crystals and teamed with a matching cape and heels.

On top of that, she looked amazing with a dramatic headdress harking back to Elizabeth Taylor’s famous number from the film 'Boom!', which she also wore to a masked ball at Venice’s Rezzonico Palace in 1967.

Having dressed so many celebrities from her atelier Versace, Donatella herself looked like a million bucks as she chose a neon green dress that had the word 'Divine' printed on it. 

Known for his quirky sense of style,Ezra brought in Vancouver-based makeup artist Mimi Choi to create for him multiple sets of eyes on his face, creating a dizzying and campy illusion. It looks wonderful and yet you will complain of a headache if you look at him for more than 5 seconds. 

Ezra first hid his incredible makeup behind a face mask, but then pulled it away from his face to reveal five extra sets of eyes. His makeup artist Choi is known for creating unique optical illusions with makeup.
