
She made her international debut at the American cup 2013 as the replacement for Elizabeth Price who withdrew from the competition due to injury. That year, at 16, she earned her first four medals at the world championships in Antwerp, Belgium, including golds in the all-around and the floor exercise.

In 2016, Biles’s four gold medals at the 2016 Olympic Games made her an international celebrity.

She took a break from gymnastics in the beginning of 2017 for a few months and resumed training in August.

She became the most decorated gymnast in world history on Sunday after winning two gold medals in beam and floor and increasing the total number of medals won in the World Championships to 25 during her career.
