A tale of two captains
The match will be a test of who handles pressure better, India's captain Virat Kohli or Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed.
"If we play well, we can beat anyone. Nothing changes according to the opposition. For the players, it is very important to be professional, be it any team you are up against," Indian skipper Virat said ahead of the clash.
"We have to overcome our mistakes because India are also a very strong team. We will assess our performance and then we will plan,'' said Pakistan's captain Sarfaraz.
Jasprit Bumrah vs Fakhar Zaman
Jasprit Bumrah has been the go-to bowler for India since the last year and his form hasn't dropped a bit leading up to the World Cup.
However, his no-ball blunder in the 2017 Champions League final will be still fresh in his memory when he faces Pakistan tomorrow.
One of the turning points in that match was when Bumrah dismissed Fakhar Zaman, but had overstepped.
Zaman went on to slam a ton against India and took the match away.
Virat Kohli vs Mohammad Amir
The Indian captain will be up against the highest wicket-taker of this year's World Cup.
Mohammad Amir has taken ten wickets in four matches and is coming into the clash with a five-wicket haul against Australia.
With a strike-rate of 92.93, Virat can prove to be a challenging batsman for the Pakistani bowlers and it will be Amir's duty to stop Kohli.
Virat's winning knock of 107 runs off 126 balls in India's 2015 World Cup victory against Pakistan will be on Amir's mind and he would try and ensure Kohli does the least damage to Pakistan.
Rohit Sharma vs Wahab Riaz
Wahab Riaz will be looking to trouble the in-form Rohit Sharma.
Riaz's brute pace will be Pakistan's answer to Rohit's big hitting.
Riaz has been performing well in the tournament and has taken four wickets in three matches, while Rohit has already hit a century in India's opening match against South Africa.
MS Dhoni vs Sarfaraz Ahmed
Dhoni and Sarfaraz are both veteran keeper-batsman who have similar roles in their respective sides.
MS Dhoni's batting skills are no doubt his biggest weapon against any opposition but his stumping skills will be something Pakistan will have to watch out for.
On the other hand Pakistan's captain, Sarfaraz is the guiding force from behind the stumps and his batting lower down the order will be crucial for Pakistan in case they crumble against India's pace attack.
Dhoni is in top form having scored a flashy 27 runs from 14 balls, while Sarfaraz has been in good touch having scored a half-century against England.
