Nepal
Despite being a small nation, Nepal was never colonised by any country. It has always been a sovereign nation and served as a buffer state between Imperial China and British India in the past. So, Nepal does not have an Independence Day.
Thailand
Unlike other countries in Southeast Asia, Thailand was never colonised by any foreign power. It does not celebrate an Independence Day but it celebrates National Day on December 5.
China
As the country was never completely colonised, it continued to be ruled by its monarchs until Chinese Communist leader Mao Zedong declared the creation of the People's Republic of China (PRC) after the Chinese Revolution of 1949. It celebrates National Day and not Independence Day.
Canada
The country does not celebrate an Independence Day but Canada Day. On this day, July 1, in 1867, the British North America Act was passed. It officially established the Dominion of Canada as a self-governing entity within the British Empire. (Image Source: Wikimedia Commons).
Denmark
It is one of only a few countries in the world, which do not have an Independence Day. Denmark instead celebrates Constitution Day on June 5. On the day, Danish Constitution was signed.
