 PM Modi was greeted by the chants of "Modi, Modi" by the Indian community in Bali, during the G20 leaders' summit. While addressing the diaspora in an event in Bali, PM Modi said, "India's talent, technology, innovation, and industry have made their mark in the world today… Today, India is the world's fastest-growing large economy," Modi… Today's India doesn't think small. Today, India is doing work at unprecedented scale and speed." He also mentioned about the relations between India and Indonesia that stodd during both good and difficult times. 

In the opening session of the G20 summit, PM Widodo said, "Being responsible means creating not zero-sum situations, being responsible here also means that we must end the war. If the war does not end, it will be difficult for the world to move forward.” Emphasising onbridging the wide differences bwteen countries, he also told the G20 leaders that the world could not afford to fall into naother cold war.

President Volodomyr Zelensky attended the G20 summit virually and called on "G19" world leaders to end the Russian invasion. He deliberately pointed Russia out of the summit by callin it "G19" summit. Talking in the meeting, Zelensky said, "If Russia is trying to deprive Ukraine, Europe and all energy consumers in the world of predictability and price stability, the answer to this should be a forced limitation of export prices for Russia…"

PM Modi met his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping publicly and exchanged greetings on the sidelines of the G20 summit, this is their first since the Chinese PLA and Indian Army's standoff in the Galwan valley in April 2020. 

On the sidelines of the G20 summit, Joe Biden calls for an emergency meeting of all the leaders of G7 and NATO to discuss the Poland missile issue. Addressing reporters after the meeting, US President Joe Biden said, “We agreed to support Poland’s investigation into the explosion in rural Poland, near the Ukrainian border. And I’m going to make sure we figure out exactly what happened.” Emphasizing ‘total unanimity’ among world leaders over the matter, Biden said, “We are going to collectively determine our next step as we investigate and proceed. There was total unanimity among the folks at the table.”

PM Modi along with other G20 leaders planted mangroves at the Taman Hutan Raya Ngurah Rai mangrove forest on the sidelines of the G20 summit. The event is part of Indonesia's efforts to preserve mangroves, India also recently joined the Mangrove Alliance for Climate (MAC) initiative at the COP27.

Indonesia handed over the G20 presidency to India on Wednesday, with culmination of the ongoing leader's summit. At a brief ceremony, PM Modi said, "Together with every countries’ efforts, we can make the G20 summit a catalyst for global welfare." He also promised a presidency that will be "inclusive" and a voice for the developing nations.
