They are also the joint-most successful IPL team, along with Chennai Super Kings (CSK), with five titles.

RCB come next, occupying the second spot. The Virat Kohli-starrer have played 245 games following their latest loss in IPL 2024, which came against visitors Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on Tuesday evening (April 2).
RCB remain without an IPL trophy despite being in the IPL since its inception, in 2008. They have ended as finalists thrice.

DC occupy the third spot in this list. The Rishabh Pant-led franchise have played 241 matches in the cash-rich league. They are yet to lift their maiden title.

KKR come after the DC camp. In this list, they occupy the fourth spot, having played 239 games in IPL. They have won the IPL twice, in 2012 and 2014.

PBKS are fifth in the list, having played 235 matches in the IPL. Under Shikhar Dhawan, the Punjab outfit are aiming to win their maiden IPL title in the ongoing edition.

CSK are at the sixth position. The MS Dhoni-starrer Yellow Army have so far played 228 games in IPL history. Notably, they are in the top six despite missing two seasons, in 2016 and 2017, due to their two-year suspension for the spot-fixing scandal. Chennai are also the joint-most successful IPL franchise, with five titles.
