The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA), was founded in 1962 by publicist Eleanor Lambert. It is a non- profit trade association of over 450 American fashion and accessory designers. This year the CFDA Fashion Awards took place on June 3 at the Brooklyn Museum of Art in New York. 

Singing sensation Jennifer Lopez won the Fashion Icon Award.
