New images of the renovated section, which runs from Vijay Chowk to India Gate, formerly depicted red-granite walkways, grass, concrete bollards, public conveniences, and designated vending zones.
One of Delhi's busiest tourist spots in Central Vista Avenue, which runs from the Rashtrapati Bhawan to the India Gate. The Republic Day parade and other ceremonial events that show off the country's capital to the outside world take place there.
Since the new signs will include legible font, colours, text, iconography, and symbols that will show activity in and around the Avenue area, they will be suitable for use. It will highlight the region's unique assets and benefits. The objective is to produce robust, long-lasting signage that is easy to maintain and has a design that may be applied both now and in the future.
The new trash cans have a clean, contemporary appearance and are hidden under granite. In the rebuilt region, the iconic canal also appears cleaner thanks to new development around its edge.
Central Vista Avenue currently contains underpasses, vending places, public facilities, walkways, and green areas in addition to being greener as a result of the expansion of the grass area. After redevelopment, it's anticipated that the lawn's area will rise from 3,50,000 square metres to roughly 3,90,000 square metres, increasing Central Vista Avenue's overall green cover in the process.
According to the government, the proposed Master Plan aims to restore the original symmetry and order while preserving the historical relevance of the buildings and spaces.
Its refurbishment was set to be finished by December 2021 after work on it had started in February 2021. It is anticipated that the Prime Minister would open it on September 8 after a few delays.
