
The order from the home ministry asked the states to appoint nodal bodies and draw up protocols for the migrants' movement.

Buses will be allowed for the interstate movement of the people and they should be sanitised between trips, the order read. The rules of social distancing should be maintained in the seating arrangements.

In case a group of stranded people wish to move between on State/ UT and another State/ UT, the sending and receiving state may consult each other and agree to movement by road.

Moving person will be screened and those found asymptomatic would be allowed to proceed.

The State/ UTs falling on transit route will allow passage of such persons to he receiving State/ UT.

On arrival at their destination, such person(s) would be assessed by the local health authorities, and kept in home quarantine unless the assessment requires institutional quarantine. They would be kept under watch with periodic health.
