From Trump's to Princess Diana, iconic visit to the Taj Mahal

President Trump and the First Lady Melania Trump yesterday together strolled the iconic Taj Mahal. Donald Trump was accompanied by his wife, daughter Ivanka and son-in-law Jared Kushner.

Princess Diana sitting alone on a marble bench in front of the Taj Mahal in India is one of the iconic photos. A beautiful image of a grand monument with a brightly dressed royal in front of it, it is also a picture of loneliness.

The picture was taken in Agra on 11 February 1992 just 10 months before they publicly announced their separation.

Former Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf and his wife, Sebha, visited the Taj in 2001, when Gen Musharraf was in Agra for a historic bilateral summit.

The duke and duchess together hoped to forge new memories. The royals Prince William and his wife Kate visited the mausoleum in Agra in 2016. They both sat together on the bench at the Taj Mahal in India where Diana, Princess of Wales, was pictured 24 years ago.

Facebook founder and CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, started off his high-profile trip to India with a visit to the Taj Mahal in 2015, a monument he had "always wanted to see", he wrote in a Facebook post from Agra.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited Agra with his wife Sara in 2018. The Prime minister got several pictures clicked of himself with his wife in front of the Taj, including the trademark trick-shot of the couple standing and trying to grab the spire of the Taj with their hands.

In October 2000, Russian President Vladimir Putin visited the Taj Mahal with his wife, Lyudmila.The two, however, separated in 2013 after 30 years of marriage.
