From Kangana Ranaut to Suresh Gopi- How actor-politicians fared at the Lok Sabha Elections 2024

Kangana Ranaut (BJP, Mandi) 

Another debutant at this year's polls, actor Arun Govil, best known for playing Lord Ram in Ramanand Sagar's hit TV show Ramayan won against Samajwadi Party's Sunita Verma by a close margin. 
 

While Kerala is dominated by Congress and the CPM, BJP candidate, actor Suresh Gopi is leading with 390133 votes in Thrissur consituency. VS Sunilkumar of Communist Party Of India is trailing in second with 316560 votes. 
 

Having quit BJP worked for actor-politician Shatrughan Sinha. The veteran actor contested with Trinamool Congress ticket from Asansol, West Bengal and is leading with 379347 votes. 
 

Incumbent MP, actress Hema Malini is winning in Mathura constutunecy with a huge margin of 307561. Hema Malini is a BJP MP and has already won the Mathura seat in the previous elections. 

Actress Raadhika Sarathkumar contested from Virudhunagar, Tamil Nadu on a BJP ticket. The actress trailed much behind Indian National Congress's Manickam Tagore B. 

Minister of Women and Child Development, Smriti Irani had unseated Congress's Rahul Gandhi from his family bastion Amethi in Uttar Pradesh, is trailing in the massive prestige battle raging there this year. The Congress candidate, Gandhi family loyalist KL Sharma, is leading with 269501 votes while Irani is trailing with 194384. 

One of the most watched contest at this year's polls has been in West Bengal's Hooghly area where two former actresses are contesting against each other. Debutant Rachna Banerjee, best known for her reality show Didi No 1, is leading in Hooghly with 256081 votes. Banerjee contested on a TMC ticket while BJP's Locket Chatterjee is trailing with 222521 votes. 
 

BJP candidate and Bhojpuri actor and singer Manoj Tiwari is winning in Northeast Delhi. He is leading with 435041 votes with Congress Party's Kanhaiya Kumar is trailing with 333988 votes. 
 

Actor- politician Ravi Kishan gets to keep his Gorakhpour seat. The actor beat Samajwadi Party's Kajal Nishad and got 323815 votes. 

Actor M Mukesh contested from Kollam in Kereala on a CPIM ticket. The actor however lost to Revolutionary Socialist Party's candidate NK Premachandran who has also defeated actor and BJP contestant G Krishna Kumar. 
 

TMC candidate and Bengali superstar Dev Adhikari is leading with 316454 votes while BJP's Dr. Hiranmoy Chattopadhyay is trailing behind with 250383 votes. 

Popular Bhojpuri actor and singer Pawan Singh contested from Karakat, Bihar trailed to Rajaram Singh of CPI (M).
