
Trees bend with gusty winds as Cyclone Fani makes landfall in Bhubaneswar on Friday.

People who were evacuated ahead of the landfall are seen at a shelter home at Bhubaneswar railway station on Friday.

In Nayagarh district of Odisha, not far away from the sea, inundated roads and damaged houses are seen as Cyclone Fani hit the coast.

Rescue personnel of the NDRF and other agencies are carrying out trips in affected districts to ensure no one is left behind.

The police in Odisha's Ganjam district, south of Nayagarh, are seen clearing roads and removing uprooted trees.

The cyclone is currently 435 km from Kolkata and 380 km from Digha in West Bengal.
