A hat-trick from Aubameyang and an Alexandre Lacazette strike booked Arsenal's place in the Europa League final with a 4-2 win at Valencia on Thursday to seal an emphatic 7-3 aggregate victory.
'We've learnt from last season's mistakes'
Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang said the club learnt from last season's mistakes in the Europa League after his hat-trick against Valencia sealed their progress to the final of the competition on Thursday.
"We are through to the final and we are all happy, it meant a lot. I think we've learnt from last season and this year we didn't make the same mistakes", Aubameyang told Arsenal's website.
Lacazette dreams of playing Champions League
Lacazette scored a goal in the Arsenal clash against Valencia.
"We have played badly in the Premier League during the last month and now we have to use this opportunity. We want to play in the Champions League next season and we want the trophy", said Lacazette.
"We reacted well to going behind and we knew we had to score a minimum of one goal tonight," Lacazette told BT Sport.
London calling: Chelsea vs Arsenal
Eden Hazard scored the winning penalty for Chelsea to beat Eintracht Frankfurt 4-3 in their Europa League semi-final shootout on Thursday.
The London club became the fourth English side to reach a European final this season.
Arrizabalaga's keeping skills save Chelsea
Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga was another hero on the night of high drama, saving penalties from Martin Hinteregger and Goncalo Paciencia in the shootout in which Chelsea captain Cesar Azpilicueta also had his shot stopped.
Hazard stands up and takes responsibility
The skilful Belgian playmaker converted the decisive spot-kick in the 4-3 shootout win over Eintracht Frankfurt that sent Chelsea into the final against fellow London club Arsenal in Baku on May 29.
"We played a great game but the semi-final is not so easy. We are happy and we will go to Baku to try to win the trophy", said Hazard.
"I always take my responsibility when I have to," said Hazard, who has 19 goals this season.
Sarri's Chelsea become fourth English side to reach European final
Despite the challenging schedule, Sarri's Chelsea became the fourth English side to reach a European final on Thursday when they beat Eintracht Frankfurt in a penalty shootout after their tie had finished 2-2 over two legs and extra time.
"It's not easy for an English team to arrive in the last month in a good condition physically," Italian Sarri said.
"We play more than other countries. We played match 61 today. It’s a big difference with other countries", Sarri added.
