
The exercise is being conducted in two phases, with the first phase commencing in Sulur, Tamil Nadu, from August 6 to 14, and the second in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, from August 29 to September 14.

As per Vice Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal A P Singh, 10 countries including Australia, Bangladesh, France, Germany, Greece, Spain, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, USA, and Singapore will join the exercise with their aircraft and 18 countries will attend as observers.

Air Marshal A P Singh further informed that India will showcase its Indigenous-made fighter aircraft and equipment. He said that India’s fighter aircraft including Tejas, Rafale, Mirage 2000, Jaguar, MIG 29 aircraft, and more will take part in the exercise.

The Indian Air Force (IAF) Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari and German air force Lieutenant General Ingo Gerhartz said that the exercise ‘Tarang Shakti’ is not against any country to make them fear. The exercise will enhance interoperability between world’s best air forces, said Lieutenant General Gerhartz.

The skies over Sulur witnessed the launch of Exercise Tarang Shakti 202424 with Air Marshal Amar Preet Singh VCAS of IAF welcomeing German Air Force Cmdr Lt Gen Ingo Gerhartz and French, Spanish fighter jets in a spectacular aerial rendezvous, kicking off Phase-I.
