The Slightly 'Hatke' Films To Look Forward To In The Second Half Of 2019!

After the first half of 2019 saw some amazing performances from the various actors in B Town, the second half is expected to be even bigger and better. 

Judgementall Hai Kya

An upcoming black comedy, the film stars Rajkumar Rao in the lead role along with Kangana Ranaut. Rajkumar will be seen as Keshav, a suave, polished guy who can get out of any situation using his charm. According to the trailer, he will get mixed up in a controversy after a murder happens in his vicinity and he becomes a suspect. The film is set to release on July 26.

Khandaani Shafakhana

The film, which stars Sonakshi Sinha, Badshah and Varun Sharma in the lead roles revolves around a happy-go-lucky Punjabi girl, Babita "Baby" Bedi who can do anything for her family. In the film, Sonakshi will be seen taking over her uncle's Sex Clinic after he apparently passes away. The film will hit the screens on August 2.

Jabariya Jodi

Sidharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra, who were last seen together in 'Hasee Toh Phasee' are back with another romantic comedy that will leave you in splits. Centered around the tradition of groom kidnapping which is prevalent in Bihar, the film follows the journey of Abhay Yadav (Malhotra) & Babli Yadav (Chopra). The film is set to release on August 2.

Saand Ki Aankh

Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar transform themselves into Prakashi and Chandro Tomar, 80 plus sharpshooters from Haryana in the film 'Saand Ki Aankh'. The film revolves around them taking up shooting at the age of 50 to encourage their daughters towards a bright future. The film will be releasing on Diwali (October 25) this year.

Marjaavaan

Bringing together Sidharth Malhotra and new comer Tara Sutaria for the first time, the film was described as a "violent, dramatic love story" by producer Bhushan Kumar in a recent interview. The film has been directed by Milap Zaveri and is scheduled to release on October 2nd.

The plot of the film is expected to deal with a sensitive issue of early balding in men, a phenomenon that has become today's reality due to lifestyle choices, with a hint of humour. This is the third time Ayushmann & Bhumi will be seen on screen. Meanwhile, Ayushmann & Yami will be seen together for the second time. The film is slated to release on November 22.

Pati, Patni aur Woh

Starring Kartik Aaryan, Bhumi Pednekar and Ananya Pandey in lead roles, 'Pati, Patni Aur Woh' will be dealing with the idea of extra marital affairs. Kartik will be seen playing the role of Chintu Tyagi whereas Bhumi will take up the role of his wife and Ananya will be portraying his girlfriend in the movie. The film is scheduled to release on December 6.

One of the most anticipated films of the years, 'Brahmastra', has been in the making for quite some time. The futuristic sci-fi film will star Alia Bhatt in the lead role along with beau Ranbir Kapoor. The film's plot has been closely guarded but what we know is that the film is going to be the first part of a trilogy. The release date of the film was shifted from Christmas this year to summer 2020.

Bhoot Part One The Haunted Ship

Vicky Kaushal, who became a household name after his role in 'Uri: The Surgical Strike' is all set to make his debut in the horror genre with Bhanu Pratap Singh's 'Bhoot Part One The Haunted Ship'. The film, which is said to be based on a true incident that took place in Mumbai will open in theatres on November 15. The movie will be the first of many in the 'Bhoot' franchise.
