'PK' to 'War': 8 Bollywood movies that are part of the Rs 300 crore club

While entering the Rs 100 crore club is now the norm for most films in India, not many make their space in Rs 300 crore club. As of now, only 8 movies have achieved this milestone during their box office run. Here is the complete list of all the eight movies.

PK(2014)

Aamir Khan and Anushka Sharma starrer 'PK', which released on December 19, 2014 was the first Indian film to enter the Rs 300 crore club. Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, the film collected Rs 792 cr worldwide, and ‎₹340cr in India making it the highest-grossing Indian film of that year.

Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2015)

'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' was a cross-border drama that featured Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.  The film released on 17 July 2015 and was directed by Kabir Khan and was made on a budget of Rs 90 crores and the movie eventually earned Rs 320 crore in India and become the second-highest grosser after Amir Khan starrer 'PK'.

Sultan (2016)

By giving clash to his own movie Salman Khan's next Rs 300 crore flick was 'Sultan'- a sports drama directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. The film also co-starred Anushka Sharma, Randeep Hooda and Amit Sadh. The movie was released worldwide on 6 July 2016. It reportedly grossed Rs 300 crores in India and Rs 623 crore worldwide.

Dangal (2017)

Amir Khan's another big entry to the Rs 300 crore club was 'Dangal' a biopic based on the Phogat family. The film released on 23 December 2016 and was directed by Nitesh Tiwari.  A mega-hit made in a budget of Rs 70 crores, the movie earned a total of Rs 387 crores in India.

Tiger Zinda hai (2017)

A high budget movie, 'Tiger Zinda Hai' was a sequel of 2012 film 'Ek Tha Tiger'. The film starred Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif in lead roles and was directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and was released on 22 December 2017. The movie grossed  Rs 339 crore in the Indian market.

Padmavat (2018)

'Padmavat' an epic drama directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, stars Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor in lead roles. Made on a budget of Rs 215 crore, it is one of the most expensive films ever made in India. The movie courted a lot of controversies prior to its release which worked in its favour as when it released on 25 January 2018, it was able to collect Rs 302 crore at the box office.

Sanju (2018)

Ranbir Kapoor marked his entry in Rs 300 crore club with Raj Kumar Hirani's 'Sanju' based on controversial actor Sanjay Dutt's life. The movie was released on 29 June 2018 and smashed box office records and collected Rs 342 crores at the box office.

War (2019)

Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff-starrer 'War' has been doing well at the box office ever since its release. An action-thriller directed by Siddharth Anand, it was released on 2 October 2019. The movie crossed Rs 300 crore mark in the domestic market in 19 days of its release, and collected Rs 303 crores and still counting.

Baahubali: The Conclusion( 2015)

Baahubali 2 is a medieval action film directed by S S Rajamouli. The movie is a follow up of 'Baahubali: The Beginning' and stars Prabhas, Rana Daggubati in lead roles. The movie is one of the highest grossers of Indian cinema and also one of the most expensive films to be made in India. Made on a budget of Rs 250 crores, the film collected a whopping Rs 510 crores in the Indian market itself and become the 1st Indian film to cross ₹1000 crore collection mark.
