Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) working president M.K. Stalin and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday expressed their concerns on former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee's health and wished him a speedy recovery.

On Monday, Vajpayee was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and is currently undergoing treatment.

Taking to Twitter, Stalin said that he was saddened to hear Vajpayee's health and wished him a speedy and full recovery.

"I was saddened to hear about former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji being admitted to AIIMS. On behalf of DMK President Thalaivar Kalaignar and DMK party, I wish Vajpayeeji a speedy and full recovery back to normal health," Stalin wrote on the micro-blogging site.

Naidu also inquired on Vajpayee's health and prayed for a speedy recovery.

"I spoke to the officers in Delhi on the health of Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Praying to God for his speedy recovery and his return to home with good health," Naidu tweeted.

Earlier today, AIIMS said that Vajpayee's condition was stable and is responding well to the treatment.

Dr. (Professor) Aarti Vij said in a statement, "Former Prime Minister Vajpayee's condition is stable. He is responding to treatment and is on injectable antibiotics. All vital parameters are stable. He will continue to be in hospital till infection is controlled."

Many political leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress President Rahul Gandhi, visited the ailing former prime minister at AIIMS.

The 93-year-old Vajpayee was the first ever person from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to have become the nation's prime minister.

Stalin, Naidu wish speedy recovery of ex-PM Vajpayee

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his cabinet colleagues, who spent the night at the lieutenant governor's office, today dug in their heels with Health Minister Satyendar Jain beginning an indefinite hunger strike to press for their demands.

The AAP government's demands include a direction to IAS officers to end their "strike", action against those who have struck work for "four months". It has also asked the L-G to approve the proposal for doorstep delivery of rations.

Kejriwal, his deputy Manish Sisodia, Development Minister Gopal Rai and Jain met Baijal at&nbsp;5.30 pm&nbsp;yesterday and have since stayed on.

After spending the entire night, Kejriwal released a video today and said that the AAP ministers had "no option" but to stage a sit-in at the LG's office as Lt Governor Anil Baijal was not paying heed to the Delhi government's demands "despite several requests".

It was the first time in the history of Delhi that the chief minister and his cabinet colleagues spent the night at the L-G's office to press for their demands, sources said.

The move drew criticism from the BJP's local unit who termed the sit-in as a "mockery of democracy".&nbsp;

"Making mockery of Democracy, No Work only Drama (sic)," Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari said on Twitter.&nbsp;

However, the AAP maintained that their fight will continue and they will not get "bogged down" till their demands are met.&nbsp;

"Modi and LG are not allowing us to work for the betterment. LG is orchestrating the strike by the IAS officers," AAP leader Sanjay Singh said.

The leader of opposition in the Delhi Assembly Vijender Gupta called Kejriwal's sit-in a way to "shirk work".

"Delhi's maalik (owner) Kejriwal and company are protesting inside an air-conditioned room. Delicacies are being served to them from outside, while the city's reeling under a water crisis. They are only concerned about politics and not about people's issues," he said on Twitter.

Meanwhile, Kejriwal, tweeted from the LG's office, "Satyender Jain starts indefinite fast".&nbsp;

Jain began his fast from the L-G's office at&nbsp;11 am.

Last night, the chief minister, who is a diabetic, had to take insulin during the sit-in and got "specific food" from his home, the sources said.

"My dear Delhiites, good morning. Struggle continues," Kejriwal tweeted at&nbsp;6.27 am&nbsp;from the L-G's office.&nbsp;

A number of AAP MLAs, party's leaders and workers have also camped near the L-G's office and the police have barricaded the area.

In the video statement released by him, Kejriwal said that the AAP ministers have staged a sit-in for the people of Delhi so that their work does not get affected.

According to the AAP government, officers have not been attending meetings with the ministers and not picking up their calls due to which the people's work was suffering.&nbsp;

Officers have gone on a "partial strike" since the alleged assault on Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash on the intervening night of&nbsp;February 19-20, it said.

In the video message, Kejriwal said that he and his ministers have been requesting the L-G since&nbsp;February 23&nbsp;to issue directions to the IAS officers to end their "strike", but the Lt Governor was not paying heed to their demands.&nbsp;

"Yesterday, we again met him (Baijal) and told him that he will go from here (L-G office) only after getting our demands fulfilled," he said.

The chief minister said, "We are not sitting here for ourselves, but we are sitting here for you (Delhiites) and for schools, water, mohalla clinics so that the people of Delhi could get facilities."

Kejriwal alleged that some of the officers told him that the L-G's office was "orchestrating" the "officers' strike" that is why Lt Governor does not want bureaucrats to end their strike.

The L-G's office slammed Kejriwal's sit-in, saying it was one more "dharna without reason".

A statement, issued by Baijal's office last evening, stated that the L-G was "threatened" to summon officers and issue directions to them to end their "strike" immediately.

In the morning, a letter, signed by Kejriwal, Sisodia, Rai and Jain, was sent to Baijal, asking him to take all necessary steps to end the "strike" by the IAS officers, including issuing written orders, that all those officers who do not return to work will be proceeded against and "if

necessary, ESMA may be invoked".

However, the officers association has claimed that no officer is on strike and no work has been affected.

Kejriwal's sit-in a mockery of democracy: Manoj Tiwari

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Tuesday has moved the Madras High Court challenging a trial court order which discharged&nbsp;Kalanithi Maran,&nbsp;Dayanidhi Maran&nbsp;and seven others in the&nbsp;BSNL&nbsp;illegal telephone exchange case.

During the period between 2004 and 2007,&nbsp;Dayanidhi Maran&nbsp;had been accused of misusing his power and allegedly providing the wrong cell phone connections of Chennai&nbsp;BSNL&nbsp;to Sun Telecom, owned by his brother&nbsp;Kalanithi Maran.

The CBI alleged that the government has lost Rs 1.78 crore in revenue to&nbsp;Sun TV.

The CBI in 2013 filed a petition in a special court in this case against former general manager of Chennai&nbsp;BSNL&nbsp;(K.B. Brahmanathan), former Deputy General Manager of the company, Velusamy, former Union Minister&nbsp;Dayanidhi Maran, his personal secretary Gauthamman, Sun Television's Chief Technology Officer Kannan, Electrician Ravi,&nbsp;Sun TV President&nbsp;Kalanithi Maran.

Earlier on March 14 Chennai CBI judge Natarajan questioned the case and released the case.

The Supreme Court upheld the appeal of the CBI against this order, since the petition stated that the trial court did not formally examine the documents in regard to this case.

The trial court dismissed all of the cases filed by the petition seeking the release of four persons.

Former telecom minister&nbsp;Dayanidhi Maran&nbsp;and his brother&nbsp;Kalanithi Maran&nbsp;were discharged on March 14 by a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court.

The inquiry should be ordered to cancel the order issued by the trial court and order the seven to face the trial.

The judge has been ordered to reply by 20th of this month.

The case pertains to alleged illegal setting up of the telephone exchange at&nbsp;Dayanidhi Maran's residence during his tenure as the Union Telecom Minister from 2004 to 2007. The 764 high-speed data lines of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) were then allegedly used for doing business transactions involving Sun Network, a channel run by his brother&nbsp;Kalanithi Maran.

The two actresses get the best lines and together create a riot on screen. Kareena, in her first film post maternity break, doesn't disappoint. She has&nbsp;always been a natural on screen and as the flawed Kalindi, delivers a solid performance. Sonam has her moments as the uptight Avni.&nbsp;

Sumit Vyas, in a role that seems to be an extension of his role from the web series Permanent Roommates, also delivers a genuine performance. Vishwas Kinni who plays West Delhi dude Bhandari to the T is an actor I'd watch out for. 
 
Veere Di Wedding can be best enjoyed if you have a bit Delhi in you. The situations, the dialogues, the humour is all very specific to the city. It is going to be more enjoyable if you understand the little things that make the city what it is- the divide between the Punjabis and Bengalis, South and West Delhi and why the mention of Khalsa College makes the uptight Avni shudder.&nbsp;

'Veere Di Wedding': Kareena and Sonam's film is outrageous and thoroughly enjoyable

A police sub-inspector has lodged a complaint against BJP MLA Narayan Kuche, accusing the legislator of abusing and threatening him over the phone during investigation of a case, the police said today. 
 
The complaint has been filed by sub-inspector Ashok Avchare, of the Ambad police station in Maharashtra's Jalna district. 
 
Mr Avchare was heading the investigation into the disappearance of one Bhausaheb Kisan Rathod, who went missing on June 7. A missing complaint was lodged with the Ambad police station. 
 
During the investigation, Mr Avchare came to know that Mr Rathod had borrowed&nbsp;Rs.&nbsp;3 lakh from an agent of a sugar factory and was not repaying the amount, police said. 
 
Later, the agent reportedly asked Suresh Chavan, a support of Mr Kuche, to recover the money from Mr Rathod. Mr Chavan had been allegedly harassing Mr Rathod over the pending amount, they said. 
 
Mr Avachare called Mr Chavan for inquiry and told him he will register a complaint against him in connection with the disappearance of Mr Rathod, police said. 
 
Mr Chavan reportedly called Mr Kuche and told him about the likely police action. Mr Kuche then called Mr Avachare and allegedly threatened and abused him for trying to "implicate" Mr Chavan in the case, they said.

Mr Avachare also made an entry in the police dairy regarding the incident. He yesterday submitted a written complaint against the MLA from Badnapur constituency in the district to in-charge of the Ambad police station.

Additional Superintendent of Police Lata Phad confirmed the filing of complaint against the legislator. 
 
Ms Phad did not provide further details, saying she was still looking into the matter. Mr Kuche was not available for comment.

India&nbsp;is set to miss a December deadline to acquire land for a Japan-backed $17 billion bullet train project following protests by fruit growers, government officials said, likely delaying one of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's most ambitious projects.

Modi's office is now monitoring the project week-to-week, as&nbsp;Indian officials seek to reassure Tokyo that the hurdles can be overcome through intense negotiations with sapota and mango growers in Maharashtra.

Protests, backed by local politicians, have flared up in recent months against attempts to secure sections of a 108-km stretch, which is around one-fifth of the entire bullet train corridor connecting Mumbai with Ahmedabad, the largest commercial city in Modi's home state Gujarat.

"I've worked hard for three decades to develop this plantation, and they are asking me to hand over this land," sapota farmer Dashrat Purav, 62, said as he showed his orchard in the town of Palghar, a three-hour-drive north of Mumbai.

"I haven't worked hard to surrender land for the project. I did that for my children."

Purav said he would sell his land only if at least one of his two unemployed sons was promised a government job.

Protests against land acquisitions are common in&nbsp;India, where tens of millions of farmers till small holdings. A planned $44 billion refinery to be run by a consortium including Saudi Aramco, the world's biggest oil producer, is also struggling to secure land in Maharashtra.

"Land acquisition for any project is complex in&nbsp;India," said Dhananjay Kumar, spokesman for the National High-Speed Rail Corp Ltd (NHSRCL) that is overseeing the project. "Here also we are facing difficulty because of so much resistance."

Failure to procure the bullet train land by the deadline would delay disbursal of soft-loans by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), a government development body, which is reviewing the project next month, said two senior officials with the state-run&nbsp;Indian Railways, declining to be named.

A JICA spokeswoman said that&nbsp;India&nbsp;must create&nbsp;relocation plans for local residents and make them public in order to enter into a loan agreement covering the main part of the bullet train project.

"It is possible that it takes time to sign a contract as&nbsp;India&nbsp;takes proper and careful measures in line with JICA's guidelines for environmental and social considerations," she said.

To assuage Japan's concerns,&nbsp;Indian officials have sought a meeting this month with transport ministry officials in Tokyo, one of the&nbsp;Indian officials said.&nbsp;India&nbsp;wants the project's completion target to be advanced by a year to 2022, the 75th year of&nbsp;India's independence.

A Japanese transport ministry official who deals with the bullet train project said that&nbsp;Indian officials had told them that "they can manage" the land acquisition.

"We will continue to work together with the&nbsp;Indian government to bring this project forward with an aim to start operation in 2023," the official said.

Japan is majority-funding the train project through a 50-year loan. Japanese companies such as Nippon Steel and Sumitomo Metal Corp, JFE Holdings, Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Toshiba Corp and Hitachi are likely to supply at least 70 percent of the core components of the rail line, sources told Reuters in January.

Modi has called the project crucial for his pet "Make in&nbsp;India" campaign aimed at lifting the share of manufacturing in&nbsp;India's $2 trillion economy. The government also hopes to generate hundreds of jobs through the train project, and hence is pushing hard to finish it on time.

To sweeten the terms for people opposed to selling their land,&nbsp;Indian Railways has put its weight behind NHSRCL, pledging funds from its own welfare scheme to build schools and community halls, one of the officials said.

Ashwani Lohani, chairman of the&nbsp;Indian Railway Board, said the issues with farmers were not insurmountable.

The government has offered to buy land at a 25per centt premium to the market value, the two government officials said. Farmers are also being offered resettlement dues of 500,000 rupees ($7,409) or 50 percent of the land value, whichever is higher.

However, local political opposition in Palghar, ahead of a general election next year, has fanned the protests. Opponents say the bullet train is wasteful and the money would be better used upgrading the country's rickety rail infrastructure. Farmers have threatened a hunger strike.

Last week, farmers and local activists disrupted a public hearing conducted by NHSRCL, its second attempt to hold such an event in less than a month. The first one last month was also cut short by protests.

"In coming weeks, we will intensify the protests," said Nilam&nbsp;Gorhe, a spokesman for Shiv Sena, a regional party that has an on-off relationship with Modi's ruling Bharatiya Janata Party.

India set to miss key target for Japan-backed bullet train project

Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, undergoing treatment for urinary tract infection at the AIIMS here, is responding well and his vital parameters are stable, hospital officials said on Tuesday.

Vajpayee was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences on Monday.&nbsp

In a statement, the AIIMS said, "His condition is stable. He is responding to treatment and is on injectable antibiotics. All his vital parameters are stable. He will continue to be in hospital till the infection is controlled".

A team of doctors, under the supervision of AIIMS Director Randeep Guleria, evaluated his condition sometime back, a source said. 
He continues to remain in the ICU of the cardio-thoracic centre of AIIMS, the source said.

Yesterday, the hospital said Vajpayee, who has been ailing for long, was admitted for routine check-up and investigations.

In a statement issued at 10.45 pm yesterday, the AIIMS said Vajpayee was diagnosed with a urinary tract infection.

A host of leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the BJP patriarch at the hospital yesterday.

Modi met the doctors and enquired about the well-being of Vajpayee. He also met his family members, according to an official statement issued yesterday.

BJP veteran L K Advani, Home Minister Rajnath Singh, party chief Amit Shah, Health Minister J P Nadda, Environment Minister Harsh Vardhan, Vijay Goel and Congress president Rahul Gandhi were among those who paid a visit to the ailing leader yesterday.

The BJP, yesterday, said in a statement that Shah had a detailed discussion with the doctors about Vajpayee's treatment and also met the former prime minister's family members at the hospital.

The 93-year-old stalwart was the first ever person from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to have become the nation's prime minister.

Vajpayee served for two terms twice - briefly in 1996 and between1998 to 2004. Currently, he is the oldest living Prime Minister of India.

Vajpayee is also a well-renowned poet. His birthday, which falls on December 25, is celebrated as 'Good Governance Day' by the BJP.

In 2015, Vajpayee was conferred the Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian award.

India's domestic sales for diesel and petrol rose to record highs in May, pushing the country's overall fuel consumption for the month higher year-on-year, data from the Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) of the oil ministry showed&nbsp;on Saturday.

Fuel consumption, a proxy for oil demand, totalled 18.72 million tonnes last month, during which diesel sales soared to 7.55 million tonnes and petrol consumption climbed to 2.46 million tonnes - the highest monthly sales figures in PPAC data going back to April 1998.

India, the world's third-largest oil consumer, used 35.2 million tonnes of diesel during January to May this year, up 6 per cent from the corresponding period last year.

The country's monthly diesel sales have averaged 7.05 million tonnes in 2018, compared with a monthly average consumption of 6.6 million tonnes last year.

Sales of gasoline, or petrol, rose 7.6 per cent in May from April and are up 2 per cent from the same month last year. Monthly demand for petrol has averaged 2.27 million tonnes this year, up 7 per cent from the 2017 average of 2.12 million tonnes.

Diesel consumption growth during the calendar year of 2018 may be more than double from last year, analysts and traders told Reuters, aided by an expected regular monsoon that should boost demand for diesel used in harvesting, while the government targets massive infrastructure spending.

More than half of&nbsp;India's population is employed in the farm sector, which depends on diesel to fuel the pumps for land irrigation.

Higher domestic consumption in&nbsp;India, however, may cap the country's capacity to export diesel.

India's diesel exports during March to April this year were 3.79 million tonnes, down 22 per cent from 4.87 million tonnes of the industrial fuel exported during the same time last year.

Last month, petrol and diesel pump prices in&nbsp;India&nbsp;surged to record highs, raising pressure on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government to find a solution to provide relief to consumers without taking a hit on its finances.

The recent rise in global crude prices was largely behind the surge in domestic prices, but fuel is also heavily taxed by&nbsp;India's state and union authorities, accounting for about half the cost of petrol and 40 per cent of the diesel price.

Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has said that he was ready to sacrifice his party's seats&nbsp;to continue alliance with the Bahujan Samaj Party.

He said their motive was to win elections against BJP and defeat them.

Yadav said,"Our alliance with BSP will continue, in 2019 even if we have to give up a few seats we will do it. We have to ensure BJP is defeated."

Delhi MLA Kapil Mishra is all set to file a petition against CM Arvind Kejriwal for having less than ten&nbsp;per cent attendance in the Delhi assembly.

The High Court is likely to hear the petition on Tuesday.

Kapil Mishra had said earlier, "CM's attendance is less than ten per cent&nbsp;in assembly and he totally missed special sessions for full statehood and sealing. He was there for two hours. It's an insult to the votes of people&nbsp;who have voted for him. If he isn't attending assembly his salary should be cut".

He also said that the Delhi High Court should give direction to the CM that he should be attending Delhi assembly session. It should also give direction to Lieutenant Governor and Speaker of the Assembly to ensure that the chief minister is attending the session, he said.

Currently an MLA from the Karawal Nagar constituency, Mishra was removed from the position of Water Resource Minister in the AAP (Aam Aadmi Party) government.

Since then, he has been alleging more instances of corruption in AAP government under Arvind Kejriwal.

Rajinikanth's 'Kaala' crosses Rs 100 crore mark at the box office in 3 days

Kashif Jameel, 34, brother of Dr Kafeel Khan, an accused in the BRD Medical College case involving the death of 63 children, was shot at allegedly by some unidentified bike-borne miscreants on Sunday night.

"He is recovering now. A case has not been registered yet as police are waiting for his health to improve so he can tell what actually happened. He was shot just 500 meters away from CM residence, last night," said Dr Kafeel Khan

Dr Kafeel was booked as an accused in the BRD medical college tragedy that took place in Gorakhpur in which several children reportedly died due to a lack of oxygen supply.

He was sent to jail last year in September and is currently out on bail after spending around 8 months in prison.

In a report published on an entertainment website, a source close to the film said, “With the amount of VFX work on 2.0 that is still pending, there is no way the makers will be able to release the film this year. In fact, the producers are currently working out a perfect release date for the film that will now hit screens in 2019. An announcement of the same will be done in the last quarter of the year.”

The source added, “By this year-end, the makers of 2.0 are looking at completing a majority of the VFX work but this constant delayed has created yet another problem and this time it is the budget that has gone haywire”

Eight students and a teacher were run over by a roadways bus on Agra-Lucknow Expressway near Kannauj on Monday morning.&nbsp;

Among the 9 persons who were run over, six students and a teacher died on the spot, while the other two&nbsp;were admitted to a hospital in the vicinity in critical condition.

“As of now seven persons, which include a teacher and students have died, while two others are injured,” the police spokesperson said. The students were from Sant Kabirnagar district and were going to Haridwar.

Bihar Health Minister Mangal Pandey on Sunday clarified that they have not written any letter to the Center to facilitate introducing a ban on khaini, consumption of which causes a number of serious ailments.

Pandey said they are against the consumption of gutkha and khaini, found to be the major causes of mouth cancer, but have not asked the Centre for its prohibition.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's government has written to the Ministry of health requesting it to bring&nbsp;khaini&nbsp;under the list of food products. Once it has been notified as a food product by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), the government will have the power to impose a ban on it on health grounds. 
 
The consumption of&nbsp;khaini&nbsp;is responsible for a number of serious ailments, including mouth cancer and ailments affecting the lungs and the cardio-vascular system, the state's principal secretary (health) Sanjay Kumar said.

The Health Minister further appealed to the people of the state to stop the consumption of gutkha and khaini.

According to a recent media report, the state government wrote to the Union Health Ministry, urging it to notify khaini as a food product. Upon notification, the state government can ban the product on health grounds.

According to Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) Act, any food product which has the presence of tobacco and nicotine in it, has to be banned.

According to the World Health Organisation's Global Adult Tobacco Survey,&nbsp;khaini&nbsp;consumers formed 20 per cent of the total population in 2016-17.

Two years earlier, the Bihar government had banned the sale and consumption of liquor in the state.&nbsp;

Police personnel are known for being tough. But policemen in Madhya Pradesh are showing their humane side and donning a new role -they are saving newborns abandoned by their parents. 
 
Besides the routine task of maintaining law and order and checking crime, they are also rescuing abandoned children and giving them a new lease of life. 
 
As many as 402 newborns, mostly girls, were found abandoned at various places in the state in since the past two years. They were taken to hospitals in time by personnel of 'Dial-100', an emergency service of the Madhya Pradesh Police introduced to help people in distress, an official said. 
 
The abandoned infants are shifted to hospitals for immediate medical care in first response vehicles (FRVs) which are part of the emergency service. 
 
While sharing the data of rescued children, Public Relations Officer (PRO) of Dial-100 Service, Hemant Sharma told PTI, "In one such incident, a FRV rescued a newborn on Friday from Guhiadol village in Sidhi district." He said 
 
"The control room got a phone call at 8 pm and a FRV swung into action to take the infant to the district hospital."

"The cops posted in Dial-100 service of the Madhya Pradesh Police have rescued 402 abandoned infants and taken them to hospitals between December 2016 and May 2018," he 
said. He added that baby girls were rescued more often but there was record this data gender-wise. 
 
Additional Director General (ADG), Police Telecom, Upendra Jain, who heads the service, said people have come to trust the initiative. 
 
"Dial-100 is an emergency service that helps people facing harassment, eve-teasing in 
public places, which need prompt police intervention. People are also approaching this service in case they find an abandoned infant," he said. 
Madhya Pradesh is among the states with a skewed child sex ratio, though situation has been improved in the past three decades. Child sex ratio is defined as the number of 
females per thousand males in the age group 0-6 years. 
 
Child rights activist Rakesh Malviya said, "According to available records, barely 50 cases of foeticide were registered in the country in 2014. In Madhya Pradesh, this number stood at 15."

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Sunday criticised nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar for earlier saying that the BJP was playing a "threat letter card" to gain sympathy.

On Sunday, amid the controversy over an alleged plot to assassinate Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Pawar on Sunday had said that the threat letter was being used to win people's sympathy.

He said, "They say there was a threatening letter. I spoke to a retired police officer, who had worked for CID. He said there is no substance in the letter. The letter is being used to garner people`s sympathy."

However, Fadnavis slammed Pawar and tweeted that the former was not expected to "stoop down to this level".

"It is very unfortunate that Sharad Pawar ji is raising doubts about the communication ceased by the police which revels the plot to assassin Hon PM Narendra Modi ji. Hon PM Narendra Modi ji is the leader of our nation and not just of a political party," Fadnavis tweeted.

"@PawarSpeaks is not expected to stoop down to this level. Police has all the evidences and truth will prevail," his tweet further stated.

In a tweet in Marathi, Fadnavis said that "Pawar ji should play politics of the nation and not politics of hatred."&nbsp;

Earlier, claiming that the people arrested for inciting the Bhima -Koregaon violence were innocent, Pawar said, "When like-minded people came together to organise Elgar Parishad, they were called Naxals and arrested. Everyone knows who executed the Bhima-Koregaon violence, but those who have no link with it were arrested. This is a misuse of power."

For the uninitiated, the Pune police told a court that they were in possession of a letter, seized from the residence of one of the five people who has been arrested in connection with the Bhima-Koregaon violence, which talks about the assassination of Prime Minister Modi in Rajiv Gandhi-type incident.
