<p>It was brought to notice&nbspin an old video back from the 2016 Emmy Awards when Priyanka was asked by a red carpet reporter to show some Indian dance moves to which the actress had said that the Indian movies are all about "hips and boobs."</p>

Indian movies are all about 'hips and boobs:' Priyanka Chopra

<p>With the aim to get into the power sector, Kasibhatta Samhitha, a 16-year-old girl has become Telangana's youngest women engineer.</p>

<p>At the age of four, Samhita amazed everyone by completing Class 4th and then at the age of 10 she finished intermediate with 8.8 GPA by securing 89 per cent.</p>

<p>Samhitha told ANI, "I want to get into the sector to serve the country and bring it at par with rest of the world. I cleared class 10 at the age of 10 years. I sec ured 8.8 GPA in 10th and 89 per cent in Intermediate. I then approached the govt for pursuing engineering as I needed age relaxation. I opted for electrical and electronics engineering which I cleared with 8.85 GPA."</p>

<p>Now, finally, she has become the first young women to be graduated in electrical electronics at the age of 16 years.</p>

<p>She thanked the Telangana government for helping her to get a seat in an engineering college, Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology (CBIT).</p>

<p>"I feel that there could be more developments done in the power sector of India that is the reason I want to be a part of it. My next plan is to do M. Tech and if the government allows I want to start my research," she said.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, Samhitha's father LN Kasibhatta said, "It's really a very proud moment for us. We saw her memory power at the age three where she was able to name the country and capital of the world. The next step for her is to pursue masters in technology and we are expecting the support of state and central government so that she can start doing her research."&nbsp</p>

<p>The founder of the company that offered world's cheapest smartphone "Freedom 251", and other two people, were arrested by the Delhi police on Sunday for allegedly attempting to extort money in lieu of settling a rape case.&nbsp</p>

<p>Goel, his aide and a woman conspired to extort money from the complainants after implicating them in a gang-rape case in Rajasthan's Alwar.</p>

<p>Earlier, the woman, involved in the conspiracy, had filed a complaint that she was gang-raped by five people in a hotel in Alwar. During the course of the investigation, it was found that the woman had been threatening the complainant and asking him for money.</p>

<p>Later, the police laid a trap to arrest the accused when they came to take the extortion amount.</p>

<p>"My relatives were being honey-trapped. First, the accused asked for Rs 11 core and then they settled the matter for Rs 2.5 crore. They took Rs 1 crore 15 lakh earlier and today they came to take Rs 30 lakh when they were arrested," said a family member of a complainant.</p>

<p>Earlier, Mohit Goel had spent more than three months in jail on allegations of fraud. However, on May 31, Ringing Bells Managing Director got bail from the Allahabad High Court. Ghaziabad-based Ayam Enterprises alleged that Goel ‘defrauded’ the company of Rs 16 lakh. Goel was arrested in February in Uttar Pradesh.</p>

<p>Charges against Goel and four other directors of Ringing Bells were framed on February 22 under Indian Penal Code’s Sections 467 (forgery of valuable security, will), 468 (forgery for purpose of cheating), 471 (using as genuine a forged document or electronic record), 406 (punishment for criminal breach of trust), 420 (cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property) and 120b (criminal conspiracy).</p>

Owner of cheapest smartphone maker 'Freedom 251' arrested in money extortion case

<p>Thousands of protestors today gathered at the Gauhati Commerce College and blocked the busy RG Baruah Road for nearly three hours, leading to massive traffic jam.<br />

The protestors, demanding speedy justice against lynching of two youths in Assam's Karbi Anglong district on Friday night, were subjected to lathicharge by the police.<br />

"Till the time they were peaceful, we had no objection and allowed them to express their feelings. But as it was already around three hours of protest in the form of road blockade, we requested them to leave in the evening and most of the agitators had left," Deputy Commissioner (Central) of Guwahati Police Ranjan Bhuyan told PTI.<br />
<br />
However, around hundred protesters refused to leave the spot and even started drinking alcohol on the road, he said, adding they threw stones and bottles on policemen.<br />
<br />
"We had no option but to use mild lathicharge to disperse them," Mr Bhuyan said.<br />
<br />
Stones and other items were also thrown at media persons present there, but no immediate report of any injury has been received.</p>

<p>Guwahati Police Commissioner Hiren Chandra Nath said "some people" called him last night to tell him about their plans to hold the protest and a candle light procession, but that was an "informal intimation".<br />
<br />
"Policemen were present at the spot. We are not objecting to their protest as long as they are peaceful. This is a very sensitive matter and people are emotional," he said.</p>

<p>Mr Nath said three persons have been picked up and their role was being probed.<br />

The call for the protest was given by a Facebook group 'Justice for Nilotpal and Abhijeet'. The group was started yesterday and nearly 60,000 people have joined it within 24 hours.<br />

Two friends, Nilotpal Das and Abhijeet Nath, had gone to a picnic spot Kangthilangso in Karbi Anglong on Friday and while returning, their vehicle was stopped at Panjuri by a mob that pulled them out and beat them to death on the suspicion that they were child lifters.<br />

One of the women protesters said, "We have come out not only for demanding justice for Nilotpal and Abhijeet alone, but for all who have been victims of any kind of superstition. And this case should not continue for one or two years. We want speedy justice".<br />
<br />
Another protester Wasim Ahmed said, "First, we demand that the trial be done in a fast track court. Secondly, we want that the deputy commissioner who made an irresponsible statement be sacked immediately. Thirdly, an Act should be brought in to deal with such cases".</p>

<p>All five accused in the 2013 Bodh Gaya bombings were found guilty by a special Patna court on May 25. The accused belonged to the terror group Indian Mujahideen.</p>

<p>The convicts were sentenced to life imprisonment by a National Investigative Agency (NIA) Special Court on June 1.</p>

<p>Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui's brother Ayazuddin Siddiqui was booked for allegedly posting a derogatory picture of Lord Shiva on Facebook. An FIR was registered against Ayazuddin at Budhana police station on Sunday after an activist of Hindu Yuva Vahini lodged a complaint.</p>

<p>The activist identified as Bharat Kumar who is also a convenor of BJP’s youth wing Yuva Morcha accused Ayazuddin of allegedly posting an objectionable picture of Lord Shiva and demanded that the police arrest him. He was then booked under 153A of the IPC (promoting enmity between different groups on ground of religion, race, place of birth).</p>

<p>On the issue, Hariram Yadav Deputy Superintendent of Police in Muzaffarnagar said, “Frankly, it looks like Ayazuddin had no intention of hurting anyone. He has not written anything offensive. All he did was to write something rejecting the offensive picture and post which was shared on the social networking website.”</p>

<p>“He wrote something to the effect that condemned the offensive post but while writing it he also copy pasted the offensive picture which is the reason behind the HYV’s anger and complaint. It was after the HYV’s complaint that police registered an FIR against him under section 153A,” he added.</p>

<p>Ayazuddin also spoke in his defence and denying the charges said, “A man posted a derogatory picture of Lord Shiva. I confronted him about it and wrote you shouldn’t share posts that can hurt anyone’s religious sentiments. Instead, a case was filed against me. Charges should be investigated.”</p>

<p>This is not the first time when the Siddiqui brothers have come under the scanner as Nawazuddin had to even pull out of a Ramleela programme after some members of the right-wing party Shiv Sena raised an objection. Shiv Sena didn’t want a Muslim man to play a character in Ram Leela.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"The only tyre that seems to be inflated is government expenditure, but here too the government's options are getting limited because of the pressure on the current account deficit and the fiscal deficit," he said.</p>

<p>"So far nobody has bought the innovative idea that 'frying pakoras is also a job'," he quipped.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The slow pace of fitting out regional airports risks delaying Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ambitious plan to launch more flights connecting smaller towns and cities and get millions more people using air travel.</p>

<p>The programme, flagged off by Modi last year, aims to boost economic growth by refurbishing idled colonial-era airstrips or building newer airports, and incentivising airlines to offer discounted fares to connect them with bigger cities.</p>

<p>But work on building new airports in small towns and upgrading existing facilities has failed to keep pace, two government officials said, and could knock off course the government’s lofty goal of bringing 100 million more passengers to the skies in the next five years.</p>

<p>Under Modi’s “regional connectivity scheme”, the government planned to open 31 new airports by the end of 2017, but only 16 are operational so far. Some states have said they do not have enough funds to purchase basic equipment such as mandatory fire tenders, one of the officials said.</p>

<p>In other cases it was taking longer than planned to build air traffic control towers or set up terminal buildings equipped with baggage scanners and security systems, said the official.</p>

<p>The government has now stepped in, and will procure much of the equipment itself and lease it to state governments to get the 15 remaining airports operational by end-June.</p>

<p>“It is a trade-off. We either keep adding more flights or calibrate the existing ones with the capacity we have,” the official said.</p>

<p>The delays highlight the hurdles Modi - who has campaigned on his ability to successfully implement growth-boosting reforms - faces as he seeks re-election in 2019.</p>

<p>Passenger traffic in India has grown at about 20 per cent annually in recent years, making the world’s fastest-growing aviation market lucrative for large and small planemakers.</p>

<p>When launching the scheme in early 2017, the government said it wanted to make flying affordable for the common man wearing simple flip-flops by reviving more than 400 unused and under-utilised airstrips in the country’s vast hinterlands.</p>

<p>The civil aviation ministry has given approvals, in two phases, to nearly a dozen airlines, including start-ups like Air Deccan and Air Odisha as well as established carriers like IndiGo, Jet Airways and SpiceJet, to start flights on more than 450 routes covering 56 new airports.</p>

<p>But with even the first phase still behind schedule - flights have begun on just 60 of the 128 planned routes - the government plans to delay the start of phase three, the two officials said.</p>

<p>One of the officials said that the civil aviation ministry had not expected such a large response to the programme, and was now scrambling to get airports ready on time.</p>

<p>“If the pace of development of smaller airports is not accelerated and it does not meet the targets, it will be a major challenge for airlines,” said Arindam Som, an analyst at India Ratings, a Fitch Group company.</p>

<p>Som said that some airlines were looking at these regional routes to feed into their wider network and boost growth.</p>

<p><strong>Business impact</strong></p>

<p>Air Odisha and Air Deccan complain that the problems are not confined to small airports - bigger ones such as Mumbai and Delhi are already choked and have few landing slots available.</p>

<p>Both carriers have acquired aircraft on lease but are yet to begin operations on more than 30 of the 40 regional routes they received approval for, making it difficult to generate enough revenue to staunch losses, officials at the airlines said.</p>

<p>“These airports are dragging their feet,” said G.R. Gopinath, founder and chairman of Air Deccan.</p>

<p>Airports generally get more revenue when international or larger domestic flights land, bringing in more passengers who can pay for airport services. But most regional carriers operate small planes, with some having as few as 19 seats, and are also exempt from paying landing and parking charges under the scheme.</p>

<p>Gopinath said these considerations play a role in airports giving landing slots.</p>

<p>While a spokesman for Mumbai airport declined to comment on the cost implications of allotting slots for regional routes, he said it was working to incorporate more flights to meet demand.</p>

<p>A spokesman for Delhi airport, which has given some slots to regional airlines, said the movement of smaller aircraft adversely impacts already congested airspace.</p>

<p>Start-up airline TruJet has begun flights on all regional routes it got approval for under the programme’s first phase by taking a noon time slot from Mumbai - a period with relatively lighter air traffic, its commercial chief, Senthil Raja, said.</p>

<p>SpiceJet, too, has started operating on several routes.</p>

<p>French planemaker ATR, which recently won a 50-aircraft order from IndiGo, said it was not yet feeling any major impact of the infrastructure constraints in India’s aviation sector.</p>

<p>“Today it does not prevent us from selling aircraft ... but it is certainly a challenge the government needs to pay attention to,” said Guillaume Huertas, head of sales for South Asia at ATR.</p>

French planemaker ATR, which recently won a 50-aircraft order from IndiGo, said it was not yet feeling any major impact of the infrastructure constraints in India’s aviation sector. “Today it does not prevent us from selling aircraft ... but it is certainly a challenge the government needs to pay attention to,” said Guillaume Huertas, head of sales for South Asia at ATR.

I feel I can do a few things, but I’m fully present because I’m enjoying them. I love nature, hiking, trekking, taking long walks... so I’m doing all that."</p>

<p>Manish made her comeback to Hindi films with “Dear Maya”, post-recovery and will be seen next in three upcoming films. Speaking about the experience, Manisha said, "Have you heard of this Italian movie called Il Postino? I love Pablo Neruda’s poetry and this film is about his encounter with a postman, who used to bring his letters. The actor, Massimo Troisi, who played the latter, passed away after the film was shot. I know the value of an actor because cinema and acting is everything for me. If you love your work so much that this could be the last thing you would be doing before you say goodbye to the world, then it’s the best thing. I’ve rediscovered my love for acting."</p>

<p>Manisha will now be seen in “Sanju” biopic and on the role she said, "There was a trial of Bombay at Ajanta Theatre owned by Dutt Saab. After seeing it, he called me and said, ‘Manisha, you reminded us of Nargis Duttji.’ That was a massive compliment for me! After so many years, I am playing her. But I was not very confident. I wasn’t sure if I would be able to do justice to the role. So, I was nervous but Rajji (Rajkumar Hirani) and his team were thoroughly prepared. We did look tests, held discussions and he made me watch documentaries on her. Then I met Priya Dutt, who sent me a book written about her parents. I never got a chance to talk to Baba (Sanjay Dutt) about her, but all this work helped me perform."</p>

<p>On her association with Sanjay Dutt, she said that she is connected to him since her childhood and that she had become her fan when “Rocky” released. She recalled that she was in the sixth or seventh grade at that time. She had stuck up pictures of Sanjay Dutt behind her almirah door.&nbsp;</p>
