During the meeting, the BJP demanded that 50 per cent charges should be waived off on coronavirus testing which was approved by minister Amit Shah, BJP chief, Adesh Kumar Gupta 
said.

The Delhi BJP chief said that the party also suggested charges at private hospitals should be fixed.

"Home minister Amit Shah has constituted a committee which will submit a report within two days and based on the report, price capping will be done for private hospitals," Gupta informed.

Gupta added that Amit Shah said that by June 20, Delhi government will start conducting 18,000 coronavirus tests per day.

Meanwhile, the Himachal Pradesh health department said that there are 182 active cases in the state with the total number of cases rising to 527 along with 6 deaths.

In Assam, 40 new coronavirus cases were reported taking the total number of cases to 4,158 including 1,960 recoveries and eigh deaths. Accoridng to to health officials the the number of active cases in the state stands at 2,187.

The West Bengal government ordered the regulated market in Siliguri to remain shut for the next seven days after COVID-19 cases were detected.

In Rajasthan, 78 new coronavirus cases were reported along with two deaths in the last 24 hours taking the total number of cases to 12,772. The death toll in the state has risen to 294 with the number of active cases rising to 2,847&nbsp;

BJP demands 50% waiver on coronavirus testing during meeting with Amit Shah

The think tank in a report said that India which conducted its first nuclear test in 1974 has 150 warheads and Pakistan which conducted its nuclear tests in 1998 has 160 warheads.

China which had conducted its tests a decade earlier than India has 320 warheads, the report informed.

The United States and Russia dominate the list with 5,800 and 6,375 warheads respectively which includes other warheads as well.

"At the start of 2020, nine states — the United States, Russia, the United Kingdom, France, China, India, Pakistan, Israel and North Korea - possessed approximately 13,400 nuclear weapons, of which 3,720 were deployed with operational forces," the report maintained.

India and Pakistan are also thought to be increasing the size of their arsenals, the report claimed while stressing that "China is in the&nbsp;middle of significant modernization and expansion of its nuclear arsenal".

"India is expanding the size of its nuclear weapon stockpile as well as its infrastructure for producing nuclear warheads," the report said.

"India is also increasing its uranium enrichment capabilities and continues to produce enriched uranium at the expanded gas centrifuge facility at the Rattehalli Rare Materials Plant near Mysore, Karnataka, for highly enriched uranium (HEU) for use as naval reactor fuel," the report claimed.

The SIPRI report claims that India's IAF has assigned "48 nuclear bombs" to its aircraft and reportedly certified its Mirage 2000H fighter-bombers for delivery of nuclear gravity bombs and "widely speculated that the IAF’s Jaguar IS fighter bombers may also have a nuclear delivery role."

In sea-based capability, the report estimates that 12 nuclear warheads have been delivered for potential deployment by the Arihant nuclear submaine&nbsp;with more in production.

Meanwhile, Asad Umar, Pakistan's minister of planning and development, said at a press conference that "cases could double by the end of June" and even reach 1 million to 1.2 million by end July".

The minister however added that the spike was avoidable if the government and people work together while urging the people to wear masks and practice social distancing while endorsing PM Imran Khan's "smart lockdown" concept.

The minister had earlier said that the Pakistan government aims to conduct 100,000 daily coronavirus tests by July end.&nbsp;

Nepal recently published a map showing Indian territories of Lipulekh, Kalapani, Limpiyadhura as its own. India's ministry of external affairs had said that the &nbsp;"artificial enlargement of claims is not based on historical fact or evidence and is not tenable."

"If any misconception has risen among people of Nepal due to construction of road from Lipulekh to Dharchula, then we'll find a solution by sitting together and having a dialogue," India's defence minister said.

"Indo-Nepal ties are not ordinary, we are bound together by "roti-beti"&nbsp;and no power in the world can break it," Rajnath Singh asserted.

Nepal has reportedly been claiming its right on Indian territories on the basis of Kuthi Yankti and Lipugadh streams which flow into river Kali.&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;

India and Nepal boundary issue was first discussed at Joint Working Group level in 1997 and 1998 and in 2014 foreign secretaries of both countries were mandated to work on the issues of Kalapani and Narsahi-Sustaand.&nbsp;

On June 9, the Nepal Parliament had unanimously endorsed a proposal to consider the Constitution amendment bill for endorsing the new political map.

"We have noted that the House of Representatives of Nepal has passed a constitution amendment bill for changing the map of Nepal to include parts of Indian territory. We have already made our position clear on this matter," India's foreign ministry had said earlier, adding, "This artificial enlargement of claims is not based on historical fact or evidence and is not tenable. It is also violative of our current understanding to hold talks on outstanding boundary issues."

President Donald Trump has said that an executive order that will "encourage" police departments to meet the "current professional standards for the use of force" is being finalised as pressure mounts for changes to law enforcement practices after nationwide protests over the brutal killing of African-American George Floyd while in police custody.

Floyd, 46, died in Minneapolis on May 25 when a white police officer pinned him to the ground and knelt on his neck while he gasped for breath.

"What happened two weeks ago was a disgrace when you see that. What happened on numerous occasions over the last two weeks -- people were killed. A number of people were killed and it was very, very terrible and very, very unfair. A number of them were police officers. It was a very unfair situation. We don't want to see that," Trump said during a round table in Dallas, Texas.

He said he wanted people to "work together" on solutions to racial inequality. "We're working to finalise an executive order that will encourage police departments nationwide to meet the most current professional standards for the use of force, including tactics for de-escalation," Trump said at a round table with law enforcement in Dallas.

However, he offered few details about the executive order.

"Every child should be able to grow up in a safe community, free from violence and fear. They've taken a lot of the police protection away in Chicago, and they have great, great police in Chicago," he said.

Noting that Americans are good and virtuous people, the president said that they have to work together to confront bigotry and prejudice wherever they appear.

"But we'll make no progress and heal no wounds by falsely labeling tens of millions of decent Americans as racists or bigots. We have to get everybody together. We have to be on the same path. If we don't do that, we have problems. We'll do that. We'll do it. I think we're going to do it very easily," he said.

The United States, he said, has the greatest potential.

"We have the greatest country in the world. But we get off subject. We start thinking about things that don't matter or don't matter much. The important things, we don't even discuss. But we're here to discuss some very important things," he said.

Politicians, he alleged, make false charges, and they're trying to distract from their own failed records.

"They have some very bad records. These are usually the ones that cause the problems or can't solve the problems. These are the same politicians who shipped our jobs away and took tremendous advantage of all Americans," he said.

The United States has been swept by protests since Floyd's custodial death on May 25 in Minneapolis.

Trump also said he would not consider activists' calls to defund the police.

"We'll take care of our police. We're not defunding police. If anything, we're going the other route. We're going to make sure that our police are well-trained, perfectly trained, they have the best equipment," he said, adding that he preferred "dominating the streets with compassion."

Trump said that in addition to the executive order, he plans to address economic development in minority communities, health care disparities in minority communities and school choice.

Trump said that he is renewing the call on Congress to finally enact school choice now.

"School choice is a big deal because access to education is the civil rights issue of our time. It really is; it's the civil rights issue of our time. When you can have children go to a school where their parents want them to go. It creates competition. Other schools fight harder because, all of a sudden, they say, Wow. We're losing it. We have to fight hard. It gets better in so many different ways," he said.&nbsp;

Preparing executive order on police department's use of force: Trump

Six more people, including three Army personnel, have tested positive for COVID-19 in Arunachal Pradesh, taking the total number of cases in the state to 67, a health department official said on Friday.

Three Army men tested positive for the disease in Singchung sub-division of West Kameng district on Thursday night, while two persons were detected with the infection in Changlang and one in Longding, he said.

"The three Army personnel had recently returned from Bihar, while the two from Changlang had come from Noida and the one from Longding had travelled back from Gujarat. They are asymptomatic and lodged in quarantine centres," State Surveillance Officer Dr L Jampa said.

The Army has its own protocol and the three would be managed by them, he said.

Contact tracing has been initiated, Dr T Taipodia, who is dealing with the COVID-19 management in Arunachal Pradesh, said.

West Kameng district's COVID-19 nodal officer Dr Kesang Wangda has issued an advisory to civilians living in and around the Army cantonment areas of Tenga and Dahung, requesting them not to enter into restricted areas unnecessarily.One of the three Army personnel is a doctor, sources said.

Arunachal Pradesh has 63 active cases, while four patients have recovered from the disease.

Among the active cases, 42 are from Changland district, followed by three each from East Siang and West Kameng, two each from Namsai and Lohit and one each from Lower Dibang Valley, Tawang, Upper Siang, Tirap, Longding and West Siang districts.

Five active cases are from the capital complex -- comprising Itanagar and Naharlagun.

According to a bulletin of the health department, a total of 13,479 samples were tested in the state till Thursday, while results of 1,627 are awaited.

The first case in Arunachal Pradesh was reported in April 2, after a 31-year-old man tested positive for the disease following his return from a religious congregation in Delhi. He was discharged from a hospital on April 16.

Punjab which has over 47,380 COVID-19 cases reported 1,919 cases including 49 deaths even as the number of recoveries in the country shot up to over 40,000.

Islamabad and Gilgit Baltistan reported new cases as the virus continued to spread in the country.

Meanwhile, ahead of the Budge presentation, Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh, PM Imran Khan's adviser on revenue and&nbsp;finance said the country suffered Rs 3 trillion loss in GDP due to coronavirus.

COVID-19 cases were Balochistan as well with 338 people falling ill with the virus in the past 24 hours taking the total coronavirus cases in the province to over 7, 600.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa&nbsp;which has seen a surge of cases recently reported 581 new cases with the total number of cases rising to over 15,700.

Amid the rising cases, PM Imran Khan said that the coronavirus graph in the country right now is going up. The Pakistan prime minister urged citizens to follow government SOPs and take precautions in order to combat the virus.

The health ministry informed that there were 396 fatalities due to the virus in the last 24 hours with 1,41,842 active cases. India's health officials said 1,47,195 people have been cured and discharged from hospitals across the country.

The total death toll due to COVID-19 in India has climbed to 8,498.

India's national capital Delhi recorded 1,877 new coronavirus cases on Thursday which is the highest single-day spike in the city. The number of coronavirus cases has surged to over 34,000 in the capital with the death toll due to the disease surging to 1,085.

June 11 was the first time when India's capital recorded over 1,800 coronavirus cases. The previous one-day highest spike in the city was recorded on June 3 when 1,513 infections were reported.

There were also 65 deaths in the last 24 hours which is one of the largest fatalities recorded in a day in the national capital.

Meanwhile, Maharashtra Police said there were 2,028 coronavirus cases in Mumbai Police with and 82 cases in the state reserve police.

Sensex fell 1,101.68 points to 32,436.69 and the Nifty fell 274 points to 9,628. The markets recovered to trade at 32,818.74, down 719 points.

Stocks&nbsp;in Asia plunged as well with stocks down in Hong Kong over one percent and Tokyo stocks were down 1.5 per cent and Shanghai shed 0.7 per cent.

In Sydney stocks were down 1.7 per cent, Seoul, Singapore and Jakarta all dropped more than two per cent and Taipei slipped 0.9 percent.

On Thursday, Wall Street street stocks collapsed with&nbsp;the Dow crashing 6.9 per cent and the S&amp;P 500 sliding 5.9 per cent with the Nasdaq going down 5.3 per cent.

The government today hiked fuel prices in India once again with the cost of petrol rising by Rs 3.31 in six days and diesel prices going up by Rs 3.42.

Petrol prices were&nbsp;hiked by 57 paise per litre and diesel by 59 paise on Friday. Petrol will now cost Rs 74.57 a litre with diesel at 72.81 a litre in the national capital.

The hike in petrol prices comes as international oil prices climbed and finished with gains for a sixth week in a row.

OPEC and Russia had earlier pledged to cut output by 9.7 million barrels per day from May 1 until the end of June after the coronavirus outbreak led to a dramatic fall in oil prices.

"All participating countries... agreed the option of extending the first phase of the production adjustments pertaining in May and June by one further month," it said.

The oil-producing block decided to later extend the output cuts through to July.

Protesters on Thursday had set up "Capital Hill Autonomous Zone" after anti-racism demonstrations erupted in the city over George Floyd's death. The autonomous zone comprising of six blocks has virtually no police presence, according to reports. The protesters had also stormed the city hall while calling for defunding of police.
