Secret Tips from Ancient Ayurveda for Winter-Ready Skin

Daily self-massage with warm oil helps to deeply nourish the skin, increase circulation and lock in moisture.

A paste made from natural ingredients like chickpea flour, turmeric, milk and sandalwood cleanses, exfoliates, and brightens the skin without stripping away natural oils.

Ghee is highly moisturizing and full of fatty acids that deeply hydrate the skin. It penetrates the skin layers, making it excellent for dryness and rough patches that often arise in winter.

Use Rose Water or Aloe Vera Gel as a Toner

Rose water or aloe vera gel provides a gentle, natural toner for the skin. It helps to balance pH levels, calm irritation and provide light hydration.

Eat warm, moist foods like soups, stews, and cooked grains. Nourishing foods support your skin's hydration and prevent dryness from within.

Spices like turmeric, saffron, and cinnamon are rich in antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties, which support skin health.

Hot water can strip your skin of natural oils, leading to dryness. Instead, opt for lukewarm water.

6 Shocking Health Benefits of Rotating Your Diet Weekly

Rotating your diet weekly, or practicing dietary variety, involves changing the types of foods you eat on a regular basis. This approach can have significant health benefits.

By rotating your diet, you're more likely to cover your nutritional bases, supporting overall health, stronger immunity, better skin, and enhanced energy levels.

A rotating diet can help optimize metabolism by providing different types of energy sources, which may improve fat-burning and overall metabolic efficiency.

Eating a variety of foods can keep meals interesting, reduce boredom eating, and help with appetite control, making it easier to manage or maintain a healthy weight.

Rotating your diet naturally aligns with eating more seasonally, as different foods come into season throughout the year.

A rotating diet can introduce more anti-inflammatory foods, such as colourful fruits, vegetables, and healthy fats, reducing systemic inflammation and lowering the risk of heart disease, diabetes, and arthritis.

Minimizes Overexposure to Potential Toxins

By rotating your diet, you reduce the likelihood of consistent exposure to potential toxins from a single food source, allowing your body time to detoxify and recover.

<p>A political row over samosas! India’s investigation agency CID landed itself into a rather unusual probe when the samosas and cakes meant for Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu were served to his security staff instead.</p>

<p>The incident took place on October 21, when Sukhu visited the CID headquarters and the snacks meant for him were served to the staff, which the CM termed as an “anti-government” act.</p>

<p>According to reports, at least three boxes of samosas were brought from Hotel Radisson Blue as refreshments that were planned to serve to CM Sukhu, who visited the investigation agency’s headquarters to attend an event.</p>

<p>Soon an investigation was launched. As per the agency, the CID officials asked the tourism department employees on duty whether the food items kept in these boxes were to be served to the Chief Minister; they got the answer that they were not on his menu.</p>

<p>It was revealed in the investigation report that some officials were made in charge of the arrangements for refreshments meant for the staff accompanying the Chief Minister.&nbsp;</p>

<p>A woman official said that she was unaware that the items inside these three boxes were meant for the CM Sukhu and those three boxes were handed over to the MT section without opening.</p>

<p>The food items kept in the boxes were served with tea to some 10-12 people sitting in the IG's room on his orders, according to the statement of the officer in charge.</p>

<p>Later, as the probe went on, it was realised that only an SI rank officer knew that those snacks were meant for the Chief Minister.</p>

A political row over samosas! India’s investigation agency CID landed itself into a rather unusual probe when the samosas and cakes meant for Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu were served to his security staff instead. The incident took place on October 21, when Sukhu visited the CID headquarters and the snacks meant for him were served to the staff, which the CM termed as an “anti-government” act. According to reports, at least three boxes of samosas were brought from Hotel Radisson Blue as refreshments that were planned to serve to CM Sukhu, who visited the investigation agency’s headquarters to attend an event. Soon an investigation was launched. As per the agency, the CID officials asked the tourism department employees on duty whether the food items kept in these boxes were to be served to the Chief Minister; they got the answer that they were not on his menu. Also Read | MEA responds to Mizoram CM Lalduhoma's controversial statement in the US It was revealed in the investigation report that some officials were made in charge of the arrangements for refreshments meant for the staff accompanying the Chief Minister. A woman official said that she was unaware that the items inside these three boxes were meant for the CM Sukhu and those three boxes were handed over to the MT section without opening. The food items kept in the boxes were served with tea to some 10-12 people sitting in the IG's room on his orders, according to the statement of the officer in charge. <p>US President-elect Donald Trump has appointed the first member of his Trump 2.0 cabinet- Susie Wiles as the White House chief of staff. This is a historic first as Wiles will be the first woman in the US to hold the role.&nbsp;</p>

<p>You might have noticed her recently at Trump’s victory speech at Mar-a-Lago in Florida on November 5, where Trump referred to her as the “ice maiden” who “likes to sort of stay in the back.” Wiles was the campaign chief for Trump’s race to the White House in 2024.</p>

<p>In a statement appointing veteran Florida strategist Wiles for the high-profile role, Trump says, “Susie is tough, smart, innovative, and is universally admired and respected.”</p>

<p>“Susie will continue to work tirelessly to Make America Great Again. It is a well-deserved honour to have Susie as the first-ever female Chief of Staff in United States history,” he said.</p>

<p>This appointment is also significant for Trump’s image of being a “racist and misogynist.” Appointing Wiles as the first female for such a role stands as an early test of his new administration.&nbsp;</p>

<h2><strong>Who is Susie Wiles, a Republican strategist, now Donald Trump’s new White House chief of staff</strong></h2>

<p>Susie Wiles is the daughter of NFL player and sportscaster Pat Summerall. She worked in the Washington office of New York Rep. Jack Kemp in the 1970s.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Wiles has been a Republican strategist for a long time, mainly in Florida and is widely credited for her disciplined and effective campaign during the US presidential election. She co-managed the Trump’s 2024 campaign with Chris LaCivitia.</p>

<p>She did not always succeed at stopping Trump from going off-script, but she kept damaging media leaks to a relative minimum and launched a bold and successful strategy to win over some Latino and Black voters that led the former president to a decisive win.</p>

<p>During the 1980 Republican campaign, she also worked with Republican Ronald Reagan. Interestingly, for years Wiles worked with some moderate Republicans who had absolutely different policies than those of Trump.</p>

This is a historic first as Wiles will be the first woman in the US to hold the role. You might have noticed her recently at Trump’s victory speech at Mar-a-Lago in Florida on November 5, where Trump referred to her as the “ice maiden” who “likes to sort of stay in the back.” Wiles was the campaign chief for Trump’s race to the White House in 2024. She did not always succeed at stopping Trump from going off-script, but she kept damaging media leaks to a relative minimum and launched a bold and successful strategy to win over some Latino and Black voters that led the former president to a decisive win. During the 1980 Republican campaign, she also worked with Republican Ronald Reagan. Interestingly, for years Wiles worked with some moderate Republicans who had absolutely different policies than those of Trump.
