A Chinese woman has taken the drastic decision of aborting her unborn boy after she was told that the infant had XYY syndrome which many people believe will lead him to become a person with violent and aggressive tendencies.

In the prenatal checks, a random website revealed that there was XYY syndrome in the unborn child, which is a genetic condition that has been wrongly linked to human criminal behaviour.

The six-month pregnant woman, identified as Jiujiu, lives in Sichuan province, southwestern China. On July 14, she posted her prenatal examination report on Douyin in which it was reflected that her unborn baby had a high chance of having XYY syndrome.

Study's lead author from King's College London Dr Aaron LeBlanc said, "Komodo dragons have curved, serrated teeth to rip and tear their prey just like those of meat-eating dinosaurs. We want to use this similarity to learn more about how carnivorous dinosaurs might have ate and if they used iron in their teeth the same way as the Komodo dragon." "Unfortunately, using the technology we have at the moment, we can't see whether fossilised dinosaur teeth had high levels of iron or not. We think that the chemical changes which take place during the fossilisation process obscure how much iron was present to start with," he added. (With inputs from agencies)

NASA's former astrophysicist and eclipse expert Fred Espanak said that four supermoons will occur in 2024.

Why does Supermoons occur?

The Moon has been orbiting the Earth in an elliptical path at a distance of nearly 382,900 km. Because of the gravitational influences from the Sun, Earth and other planets, the apogee and perigee distances of the Moon vary every month.

As per NASA's Noah Petro, the Moon's orbit has been irregular because of these gravitational forces.

United States former president Donald Trump is now safe and sound after the assassination attempt and the shooter has died long back, but the conspiracy theories don't seem to die anytime soon.

United States former president Donald Trump is now safe and sound after the assassination attempt and the shooter has died long back, but the conspiracy theories don't seem to die anytime soon. After claiming that some 'holy spirit' descended on the national flag of the country which had twisted minutes before the attack, the theorists have now taken the discussion further to the idea that some UFO or alien appeared just before the shooting and saved Trump's life. Camera captures man jumping off Atal Setu bridge in Mumbai to end his life

Russian President Vladimir Putin's former judo partner Arkady Rotenberg has gained a partial victory in a court battle, which had been continuing for eight years, over a Surrey mansion worth £27 million.

The mansion has been the centre of contention in the divorce the Russian billionaire is seeking from a ballerina.

Billionaire gas pipe tycoon Rotenberg, whose entry into the United Kingdom has been banned under sanctions imposed after Russia invaded Ukraine, has been fighting with Natalia Rotenberg in the London courts since 2016.

The matrimonial home at the centre of the dispute includes a 42ft swimming pool, cinema, staff quarters, wine cellar, games and an underground garage to park six limousines.

A fresh set of financial sanctions was imposed by British ministers in 2020 on 73-year-old Rotenberg, who is believed to be one of the richest people in the world after he was seen to have “benefited from Russian decision-makers responsible for the annexation of Crimea or the destabilisation of eastern Ukraine”.

Here's what the court said over the property dispute

Justice Peel, after listening to the case in the High Court, ruled that the 43-year-old former wife of the tycoon had lost all claims on the property after they left the United Kingdom and did not engage with the litigation in the past two years.

Justice Peel said that Rotenberg "is well known as a close associate of President Putin," and added that after the divorce was granted by the court in 2016, Rotenberg left the UK in 2018 along with the children and did not return.

"Since then, she has remarried an Armenian citizen and herself obtained Armenian citizenship. She is permanently resident there and runs a business in the capital. Since July 2022 there has been no engagement by her or by lawyers in this country on her behalf. I am confident this was not due to lack of resources, not least because she received £8.65m from Mr Rotenberg in 2016," the judge said.
