They have been identified as Rouf Ahmad Wani son of Abdul Majeed Wani resident of Bhatangan Khag, Hilal Ahmad Malik son of Ghulam Hassan Malik resident of Bathipora Khag, Tawfeeq Ahmad Dar son of Nazir Ahmad Dar resident of Nowrooz Baba Khag, Danish Ahmad Dar son of Manzoor Ahmad Dar resident of Dar Mohalla Nawrooz Baba Khag and Showkat Ali Dar son of Ali Mohammad Dar resident of Bathipora Khag, linked with proscribed terror outfit LeT," said Jammu and Kashmir&nbsp;Police.&nbsp;

According to J&amp;K&nbsp;police, incriminating materials have been recovered from the possession of the terror associates. Police said that all the recovered materials have been taken into case records for further investigation.&nbsp;

J&amp;K police have registered a case under FIR No. 45/2023 under relevant sections of law. The J&amp;K police station in Khag has taken up the investigation into the matter.&nbsp;

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Tuesday once again cracked down on the newly floated offshoots of proscribed Pakistan-backed terrorist outfits operating in Jammu and Kashmir. NIA conducted raids at five locations in the three districts of Anantnag, Shopian and Pulwama in the Kashmir valley, and seized several digital devices containing massive incriminating data. 
&nbsp; 
“The locations raided today were residential premises of hybrid terrorists and Overground Workers (OGWs) linked with the newly formed offshoots and affiliates of several banned Kashmiri terrorist outfits. Premises of sympathisers and cadres of these organisations were also raided,” said NIA.&nbsp; 
&nbsp; 
According to National Investigation Agency, all these cadres and workers are being investigated for activities relating to terror, violence and subversion in J&amp;K. Authorities suspect their involvement in the collection and distribution of sticky bombs/magnetic bombs, IEDs, funds, narcotic substances and arms/ammunitions.&nbsp;

“The J&amp;K terror conspiracy case (RC-05/2022/NIA/JMU) was registered suo moto by NIA &nbsp;on 21st June 2022. It relates to a physical and online conspiracy by the banned terror organisations to launch a series of violent terrorist attacks in J&amp;K with sticky bombs, IEDs and small arms etc. The Pakistan-backed outfits are also engaged in radicalizing local youth and mobilising overground workers, to disturb the peace and communal harmony in J&amp;K,” said NIA.&nbsp;

As per NIA investigations, Pak-based operatives behind the conspiracy were using various social media platforms to spread terror among the people. They were also using drones to deliver arms/ammunition, explosives, narcotics etc. to their agents and cadres in the Kashmir valley.&nbsp;

The newly floated terror outfits under investigation include The Resistance Front (TRF), United Liberation Front Jammu &amp; Kashmir (ULFJ&amp;K), Mujahideen Gazwat-ul-Hind (MGH), Jammu &amp; Kashmir Freedom Fighters (JKFF), Kashmir Tigers, PAAF and others. These outfits are affiliated with major banned terrorist organisations like Laskhar-e-Toiba (LeT), Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), Hizb-ul-Mujahideen (HM), Al-Badr, Al-Qaeda, etc.

NIA cracks down on newly floated outfits of banned terrorist organisations in J&K

Crafts from India’s Kashmir valley are famous across the world and to give further impetus to the industry, young artists and designers are incorporating new designs and techniques to create unique art pieces. One such artist is Shahnawaz Ahmad Sofi, who for the first time has merged the silk carpet calligraphy craft with Kashmir’s famous walnut wood art.&nbsp;

While Srinagar has been listed among the most creative cities in the world, the artisans and craftsmen from Kashmir have been innovating with the traditional arts of the valley. In Srinagar’s downtown area of Noorbagh, the artist is designing unique art products with the amalgamation of two Kashmiri crafts -&nbsp;the calligraphy silk carpets with the famous Kashmiri walnut woodwork.&nbsp;

After completing his graduation from the Institute of Music and Fine Arts, Shahnawaz started experimenting with new designs. He not only started using calligraphy for the first time but also merged the two arts together, creating unique products for markets across the world.&nbsp;

“I have been thinking about innovation from the very beginning of my career, our craft was going through a bad phase. I thought of making something unique and new. I wanted to club two crafts together and I thought of making products using Silk carpet calligraphy on top of walnut wood art. Walnut wood is extremely famous in the Valley and merged the two crafts. As you can see the products behind me, the base is walnut wood and carpet craft weaving on top of it. That is what I created, and it will help the two crafts. The weavers and artisans can benefit from this. These pieces can be used as wall decorations,” said Shahanwaz, craftsman and innovator.&nbsp;

Shahnawaz has also been training his artisans to use these new techniques. He has held workshops with artisans where they were taught how to merge the two crafts together. Shahnawaz says that by doing so, he will be helping artisans from two different arts and help save the heritage as well.&nbsp;

According to Shahnawaz, the art pieces created by him have yet not been put out in the market, but he is already getting a great response from his buyers and orders for these products are pouring in from across the world,&nbsp;especially from the middle east.&nbsp;

“The innovations will always benefit us. I am already getting a huge response for these products. It will help all of us, the weavers especially. I am getting a great response from Gulf countries. The walnut never used to go to the gulf countries but after these products are made, we are getting a lot of great response from those countries. We need to create new ideas. We have to keep modernising the crafts,” said Shahnwaz, craftsman and innovator.&nbsp;

The artist says that the main idea is to revive the various art forms in the Kashmir Valley and see the scope of amalgamating various arts with each other. &nbsp;He feels that through new designs and techniques, the younger generation will get attracted towards the art and it will help to save these crafts.&nbsp;

Despite heavy rains and bad weather across Jammu and Kashmir, over one hundred thousand yatris (pilgrims) have visited the holy Amarnath cave in the first ten days. The enthusiasm among the yatris hardly seems to be dampened by the rains lashing the whole of North&nbsp;India.&nbsp;

After Amarnath Yatra was suspended due to bad weather from both the base camps, the government on Monday allowed the yatris to resume the pilgrimage from the Baltal base camp. Earlier, the yatra was allowed to resume from Chandanwari a day back due to the improvement in the weather. The authorities also resumed the helicopter service for the pilgrims.&nbsp;

''We are breaking all the records of development, and this time in 7 days we have crossed the figure of one lac pilgrims. This is all due to Baba Amarnath. The weather and yatris and locals all worked together for the smooth going of Yatra. And this time you must have seen that tourists who used to get bothered due to Yatra are freely allowed to move with a cut-off time, '' said VK Bidhuri, Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir.&nbsp;

The pilgrims coming for the Amarnath Yatra with utmost devotion are saying that no matter what, they will carry on the pilgrimage. Several yatris have been waiting in Srinagar and were allowed to reach the base camps on Monday where they can start the yatra from both routes.&nbsp;

''I think it all works on many factors, it depends on the weather, also on the size of the lingam, and generally, we are also thinking that it will cross 5 lakh&nbsp;this year and we have two sawans this year and since everything is in our favour so we are hoping for the best, '' said V K Bidhuri, Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir.&nbsp;

While the yatra has been restored in Kashmir Valley, the national highway still remains closed due to major land-sliding in some areas. Thousands of yatris have been halted at Jammu's Bhagwati Nagar. The government has been working on the restoration of the National Highway so that the pilgrims stranded in Jammu can reach Kashmir Valley to take the pilgrimage.&nbsp;

The Jammu and Kashmir Government for the first time, has established a digital hi-tech Command Control Centre for real-time surveillance of the Amarnath Yatra routes. This is sure to help the government manage the pilgrimage smoothly.

Amarnath Yatra is one of the toughest pilgrimages of Hindus and Jammu and Kashmir government has been working round-the-clock to make every little aspect of the yatra easy for the pilgrims. The Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir had ordered setting up of the hi-tech Command Control Centre.

The Command Control Centre has around 60 people from around 20 government departments working day and night. The departments working in the Hi-tech Command Control Centre include Jammu and Kashmir Police, CRPF, NDRF, SDRF, Health, PHE, PDD, Telecom and many others.&nbsp;

There are around 17 PTZ High Definition 360-degree view cameras placed all through the routes from base camps to the cave. Dozens of static cameras have also been placed at strategically important places from both Baltal and Chandanwari base camps.

"This integrated command control centre is a one-stop solution. We are monitoring the monitoring yatra using technology in a dynamic way. It has really helped us in making immediate decisions. For example, if there is a problem in the yatra route due to weather, we can intervene from the centre. If, God forbid, an earthquake takes place, the command centre will tell the pilgrims about the emergency number they need to call on. It will be a single-stop solution. Officials from many departments are here, be it the fire services or the army. We can take effective action in case of a disaster," said V K Bidhuri, Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir.

All the pilgrims coming for the Amarnath yatra have been provided with RFID (radio frequency identification number). This helps the authorities to monitor the location of the yatris while they take the pilgrimage from their base camps.&nbsp;

The digital Hi-tech Command Control Centre will play a very important role in identifying medical emergencies, potential disaster situations, locating missing individuals, and facilitating their recovery.&nbsp;

"There are people who come in groups, and sometimes some of them get cut off. The centre can help them even if they don't know their RFID number. We can track them with their&nbsp;Aadhaar number or name and we can track their location. RFID thus would help in ensuring the security of pilgrims. Moreover, we would come to know if anyone misbehaves. The quality of the cameras is phenomenal. The cameras are also monitored by the Amarnath shrine board, police and even Lieutenant Governor. No one can escape the responsibility, said Bidhuri.

According to the government estimate, around 80,000 pilgrims have completed the Amarnath Yatra in the first six days.&nbsp;

All the pilgrims coming for the Amarnath yatra have been provided with RFID (radio frequency identification number). This helps the authorities to monitor the location of the yatris while they take the pilgrimage from their base camps. The digital Hi-tech Command Control Centre will play a very important role in identifying medical emergencies, potential disaster situations, locating missing individuals, and facilitating their recovery. "There are people who come in groups, and sometimes some of them get cut off. The centre can help them even if they don't know their RFID number. We can track them with their Aadhaar number or name and we can track their location. RFID thus would help in ensuring the security of pilgrims. Moreover, we would come to know if anyone misbehaves. The quality of the cameras is phenomenal. The cameras are also monitored by the Amarnath shrine board, police and even Lieutenant Governor. No one can escape the responsibility, said Bidhuri. Recently, the LG announced that around 2,00,000 homeless people would be given land in Jammu and Kashmir for building houses.&nbsp;

Mufti, while talking to media at a press conference said, ''We want to know who these people are as we don’t have many homeless people in Jammu and Kashmir. ''

''The total number of homeless people in J&amp;K is 1900, this is according to data provided by the government of Jammu and Kashmir in 2021. And when LG says 2,00,000 will be given land and homes that means around 1 million people. Do they want to import slums from outside into the J&amp;K? They are not bringing investments but slums from across the country, '' said Mufti.&nbsp;

Mufti said&nbsp;the people of Jammu and Kashmir will not tolerate such a move.

"People from Jammu have reacted to the same because Jammu will be the first to bear the cost of this settling of outsiders. Jammu is dependent on business, but the LG administration wants to bring 1 million people in the name of homeless from outside which will snatch the business of Jammu people."

She applauded the people of the Ladakh region for standing together. “I salute the people of Ladakh and Kargil. Those who are associated with religion and tourism organisations have decided that they won’t allow outsiders to run businesses in Ladakh. We also won’t allow the settling of outsiders here in the name of homeless. People from both Jammu and Kashmir will react to this and not tolerate any such move."

She also raised the issue of Kashmiri Pandits and said if the government wants to give land to anyone, it should be the Kashmiri Pandits.

''There are thousands of Kashmiri Pandits in Jammu, have you given them any 5 Marla land? They are living in one-room flats. If you have to give land, start with them. Those who migrated from Kashmir to Jammu should be given this land. Why do you want to bring slums from outside,'' she said.&nbsp;

With new designs, techniques and the introduction of unique products, Mohammad Aslam Bhat is trying to revive the craft of copperware in the Kashmir Valley. He was recently awarded by the state government for his unique ideas and innovation in the craft. Every morning, Bhat comes to his shop in the old downtown area of Srinagar to create unique copperware products which not only the locals but tourists coming from across the world like and buy.&nbsp;

''The number of artisans is coming down with every passing day, and the main reason is the machine-made products. The artisans were finding it difficult, but I have introduced some unique ideas and products which no machine would be able to make. And by God's grace, my work is going on. I want the other artisans to also innovate. This art should never die, and we must keep working on saving the craft. The government has to help as well. It's a craft going on for centuries. Copperware was my family business and I saw the machine products taking over. I studied the market and saw what buyers are wanting and that's how I started making products which were never made like showpieces and jewellery. Due to the award, a lot of people associated with the craft got encouraged too, '' said Mohammad Aslam Bhat, copperware artisan. &nbsp;

Copperware is a must-have in every Kashmir home. Earlier it was only traditional utensils made of copper used in the Kashmiri homes and now it's the decorative pieces from vases to lamp shades to phone holders to earrings and many other accessories. The process of making these products involves many artisans, which starts with moulding the raw material into various shapes followed by hand carving these products. It takes these artisans days to make a single product by hand.&nbsp;

The demand for these handmade copperware products has increased after these new designs and innovations.

''People always want something new and unique. One of the reasons I see a lot of people coming to my store is that what I sell, they won't be able to get it anywhere in the world. That is why I want other people associated with the art to innovate so that we can save this craft industry. The tourists see these products, and no one leaves the store without buying anything. And I have made sure to keep the Kashmir tradition alive in it, I have used all the Kashmiri motifs so that when people see my products, they should know it's from Kashmir. The kids today have the internet, and they can make whatever designs they want to. I do teach kids here and there is a lot of scope for this art, '' said Mohammad Aslam Bhat, copperware artisan. &nbsp;

The Kashmir's copperware artisan's association has called for a ban on machine-made products and sought government intervention to save the centuries-old craft of the Kashmir Valley.&nbsp;

Kashmiri copperware artisan takes it upon himself to save a dying art

National Conference vice-president and former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir Omar Abdullah has said that under BJP rule, there is no expectation of Article 370 being restored in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. He said that the rights of people were taken away on 5 August&nbsp;2019, adding that we should have no hope from the current dispensation.

Omar, while talking to reporters, said that he, along with his supporters, would fight for rights in a very democratic way. He said that Kashmir has been waiting for the day of the hearing of its case. The Supreme Court of India is due to hear the petition on Article 370 on&nbsp;July 11 for the first time after the abrogation of the article.

“We have been always saying that whatever has been taken away from us, there is no expectation that it will be restored by the current government. We want our rights back through legal procedure in a peaceful way and we hope that the hearing in this regard in the Supreme Court will be held frequently,” said Abdullah.

Omar Abdullah was on a visit to central Kashmir's Ganderbal District for a party meeting.

While responding to a question about Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) split he said, "It's very unfortunate, but it has become a common thing now. I don't think there is any state where they did not try to create a split or divide among the parties. They have made opposition parties targets in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Goa, Northeast and Karnataka and even the J&amp;K parties have been split and new parties have been created. It's unfortunate but it's the reality."

Indian bureaucrat Shah Feasel has withdrawn the plea he had filed in the Supreme Court with regard to Article 370.&nbsp;

"He has the right to do whatever he wants, he can take away the plea, as he was not forced to file a plea, and nobody has forced him to withdraw it," said Abdullah.&nbsp;

On elections in Jammu and Kashmir, Abdullah alleged that the BJP was scared of elections in the union territory.&nbsp;

"BJP is scared of elections in Jammu and Kashmir, They don't want to hold elections here as they know that if assembly elections are held here, they will not even get 10 seats. Election is our democratic right, but we know we would not get our rights from these people. BJP is not ready to face the elections in JK," he added.

No expectation of Article 370 getting restored under BJP: Omar Abdullah

Amid heightened security, Amarnath Yatra started in the Kashmir Valley on Saturday (July 1). Over 3400 registered pilgrims took the journey on the very first day of the start of the Amarnath Yatra. Before sunrise, the pilgrims who had reached the base camps at Nunwan in Pahalgam and Baltal in Sonamarg started the journey towards the Holy cave. 
 
The Amarnath Yatra will be on for 62 days this year with over 60 thousand security forces brought in to secure the pilgrims and the route to the Holy Cave. A three-tier security system has been put in place to make sure the Yatra is carried out peacefully. The journey to the Holy Cave located at an altitude of 3,880 metres in the Himalayan hills of South Kashmir will be covered by pilgrims from two routes.

The terror organisation TRF, an offshoot of Lashkar, had issued a threat for the Amarnath Yatra. And most of the security arrangements have been given to the paramilitary forces like CRPF and also to Jammu and Kashmir Police. The deployment of forces has been done from the Jammu region and through the National Highway to Kashmir. 
 
The authorities have made all the arrangements with regard to any natural disaster due to erratic weather etc. Hundreds of members from the Disaster Management, SDRF, and NDRF teams have been deployed on both routes of the Yatra. The government has also made sure to use the latest technology and equipment for the safety of the pilgrims.

The government has also made a makeshift 100-bed&nbsp;hospital at both the base camps in Chandanwari and Nunwan for providing better healthcare facilities to the pilgrims undertaking Amarnath Yatra.&nbsp;

Amarnath Yatra begins amid heightened security arrangements

Kashmir Valley is back on the International tourism map. After decades, huge numbers of tourists from across the world are landing in Srinagar. According to the government of Jammu and Kashmir, over 15 thousand foreign tourists have visited the Kashmir Valley in the first six months of 2023.

Millions of tourists have visited the Kashmir Valley in 2023 and the numbers are going up every day. The number of foreign tourists arriving in the valley in the very first six months of 2023 has crossed 15 thousand. In 2022, the total number of foreign tourists who visited the Kashmir Valley was around 4000. The government is hopeful that all the previous records of foreign tourists visiting Kashmir Valley would be broken.&nbsp;

''After many years, this is a positive development for the tourism of Jammu and Kashmir. This year, we have already reached 15 and a half thousand foreign tourists who come from various countries across the world into Jammu and Kashmir. We are hoping that the number of foreign tourists will be far in excess of what we had last year. And last year was apparently the highest number in many decades. This is a very positive development and I am very sanguine that the G20 event which was held in Srinagar in the last week of May will go a long way in increasing the foreign tourists rush and we are seeing a lot of queries and bookings that have been made from various countries,'' said Syed Abid Rasheed Shah, Secretary Tourism, Government of Jammu and Kashmir.&nbsp;

The government of Jammu and Kashmir hosted a G20 meeting in the month of May. Ambassadors and foreign delegates from around 17 countries participated in these meetings with a focus on tourism. The government is hopeful that G20 meetings held in Srinagar would translate into more promotion of Kashmir tourism across the world. The numbers have already crossed all the previous records and the government is also planning to do international promotions, especially in Southeast Asian, Middle East and North American countries.&nbsp;

''Promotion of tourism is a very critical task undertaken by the Department of Tourism in Jammu and Kashmir. We are slightly modifying the methods of promotion. Earlier we used to have road shows, we are continuing with that road shows and promotions and major travel marts. However, with changing times it's also important to department and intervention by way of promotion change, this is the era of digital marketing, and this is the era of online marketing. We are doing that, and we are starting virtual tours. We are doing airline promotions so that frequent flyers can be attracted. Outside of the country, there are various trade travel marts that take place, JK tourism department is going to participate in these in a big way, and one in Dubai had a positive response. We are focussing on those countries where we believe that they will come, southeast Asian countries are a huge market for us and we are focussing on that. The Middle East is a core focus area and a target too. The Northern American continent is a very important aspect of our promotional activities,'' said Syed Abid Rasheed Shah, Secretary Tourism, Government of Jammu and Kashmir.&nbsp;

Kashmir was one of the favourite destinations of foreign tourists in the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s. With the start of the insurgency, the numbers fell drastically. And now with peace returning to Kashmir Valley, the foreign tourists are yet again flocking to the 'Paradise on Earth'.&nbsp;

Millions of tourists have visited the Kashmir Valley in 2023 and the numbers are going up every day. The number of foreign tourists arriving in the valley in the very first six months of 2023 has crossed 15 thousand. In 2022, the total number of foreign tourists who visited the Kashmir Valley was around 4000. The government is hopeful that all the previous records of foreign tourists visiting Kashmir Valley would be broken. ''After many years, this is a positive development for the tourism of Jammu and Kashmir. This year, we have already reached 15 and a half thousand foreign tourists who come from various countries across the world into Jammu and Kashmir. We are hoping that the number of foreign tourists will be far in excess of what we had last year. And last year was apparently the highest number in many decades. This is a very positive development and I am very sanguine that the G20 event which was held in Srinagar in the last week of May will go a long way in increasing the foreign tourists rush and we are seeing a lot of queries and bookings that have been made from various countries,'' said Syed Abid Rasheed Shah, Secretary Tourism, Government of Jammu and Kashmir. The government of Jammu and Kashmir hosted a G20 meeting in the month of May. Ambassadors and foreign delegates from around 17 countries participated in these meetings with a focus on tourism. The government is hopeful that G20 meetings held in Srinagar would translate into more promotion of Kashmir tourism across the world. The numbers have already crossed all the previous records and the government is also planning to do international promotions, especially in Southeast Asian, Middle East and North American countries. ''Promotion of tourism is a very critical task undertaken by the Department of Tourism in Jammu and Kashmir. We are slightly modifying the methods of promotion. Earlier we used to have road shows, we are continuing with that road shows and promotions and major travel marts. However, with changing times it's also important to department and intervention by way of promotion change, this is the era of digital marketing, and this is the era of online marketing. We are doing that, and we are starting virtual tours. We are doing airline promotions so that frequent flyers can be attracted. Outside of the country, there are various trade travel marts that take place, JK tourism department is going to participate in these in a big way, and one in Dubai had a positive response. We are focussing on those countries where we believe that they will come, southeast Asian countries are a huge market for us and we are focussing on that. The Middle East is a core focus area and a target too. The Northern American continent is a very important aspect of our promotional activities,'' said Syed Abid Rasheed Shah, Secretary Tourism, Government of Jammu and Kashmir. Kashmir was one of the favourite destinations of foreign tourists in the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s. With the start of the insurgency, the numbers fell drastically. And now with peace returning to Kashmir Valley, the foreign tourists are yet again flocking to the 'Paradise on Earth'. I have been travelling for three months in India. I wanted to explore the north side of India. Rented a bike from Delhi and have been travelling all around the North. Kashmir witnesses huge influx of foreign tourists after decades

Ahead of the Amarnath Yatra, Dr. S. L. Thaosen, IPS, Director General (DG), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) on 25 June undertook an all-encompassing visit of multiple camp locations at Baltal, Domail, Sarbal, and Neelgrath to review the operational and administrative preparedness of the CRPF deployed for Amarnath Yatra 2023.

The visit to camps was aimed at assessing the arrangements and preparedness for ensuring an atmosphere of absolute security and confidence for the hundreds of thousands of devoted pilgrims who would be undertaking the pilgrimage.&nbsp;

With the Yatra to commence in a few days, DG, CRPF reviewed the preparedness of forces himself to ensure its successful conduct. In addition to assessing operational readiness, DG also reviewed the contingency drills of various eventualities for CRPF’s timely response in the face of any unforeseen circumstances.

Emphasising a zero-error policy, every aspect of security planning was scrutinized to mitigate any potential risks and ensure a seamless, secure, and pleasant experience for the pilgrims.&nbsp;

Furthermore, DG laid special emphasis on disaster management preparedness for any natural calamity that may arise.

''CRPF’s comprehensive disaster management protocols were reviewed for its swift and timely response to mitigate the impact of any adverse event like that of last year’s cloud burst. This proactive approach would ensure that the SANJY-2023 remains resilient in the face of challenges prioritising the safety and well-being of devotees,'' he added.&nbsp;

Amarnath Yatra 2023: CRPF undertakes extensive review of operational readiness

On a day when India's Home Minister Amit Shah is on a two-day visit to the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir in India's north, four terrorists were killed in a joint operation of Jammu and Kashmir Police and Indian army along the Line of Control with Pakistan,&nbsp;Kupwara's Machil sector.&nbsp;

The operation 'Kala Jungle' was started after the forces got a tip off about the presence of terrorists in the area who were trying to Infiltrate from across the border of Pakistan Occupied Kashmir.&nbsp;

''Operation Kala Jungle, Macchal, Kupwara. In a joint operation launched by Indian Army and Jammu Kashmir Police,&nbsp;an infiltration bid was foiled today by alert troops along LOC in Macchal Sector, Kupwara. Four terrorists eliminated and&nbsp;war-like stores have been recovered. Operation&nbsp;in progress, '' said the Defence Spokesperson of Indian Army.&nbsp;

This is the third operation on the Line of Control in the month of June.

Eleven terrorists have been killed in the three operations carried out by security forces close to Line of Control in North Kashmir.

The first operation was in the Machil sector where two terrorists were killed, the second operation was in Kupwara where five foreign terrorists were killed and in today's operations four terrorist bodies have been recovered from the operation site so far.

The Indian army says the search in the area still continues.&nbsp;

Meanwhile, The Indian Home Minister Amit Shah is on a visit to the Union Territory where he will be inaugurating various developmental projects. Home Minister Shri Amit Shah will pay floral tributes to the BJP ideologue Dr Syama Prasad Mookerjee after landing in Jammu region. He will also inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for various development projects in Jammu.
