The Ukrainian Premier League side have not played since Russia invaded the country in February in what Moscow calls a "special military operation".

The first charity match is against Olympiakos in Athens on Saturday, followed by games against Lechia Gdansk (April 14), Fenerbahce (April 19) and Hajduk Split (May 1).

UEFA has allocated 240 million euros ($260 million) to pay clubs for releasing their players for national team competitions in the 2020-24 cycle as part of its benefits programme, European soccer's governing body said on Friday.

The club benefits programme is based on the amount generated by the European Championship final tournament and paid to clubs that have contributed to the successful staging of all of UEFA's national team competitions.

Following Euro 2020, a sum of 200 million euros was paid to 697 clubs from all 55 member associations, UEFA said.

The allocated sum for the new cycle was approved in UEFA's executive committee meeting on Thursday.

Post the KKR thrashing, captain Rohit Sharma addressed his troops in the dressing room and gave a motivating speech. He stressed on 'hunger' and 'desperation' and said, "We seriously cannot be blaming individuals here. It’s all of us. We win together, we lose together. That is as simple as that for me. I think slight desperation is required from each one of us. That desperation is very, very, very important when we play, especially in this tournament. Because oppositions are different, they come up with different plans all the time. We just need to stay ahead of them. We just need to stay on top of them. And the only way we can do that is by having that slight hunger and that desperation on the field - with the bat, with the ball."

Paris St Germain striker Kylian Mbappe, whose contract expires at the end of the season, could captain the team when they travel to Clermont in Ligue 1 on Saturday.

The France forward, who stayed at PSG this season despite several offers from Real Madrid, has been in scintillating form recently, both for club and country, and his influence has been growing exponentially this year.

The 23-year-old is second in the Ligue 1 scoring chart with 17 goals this season, one behind Monaco's Wissam Ben Yedder, but has also made the highest number of assists (13).

"He is a clear example of how when we arrived (15 months ago) his form wasn't as everyone expected but thanks to his hard work, dedication and confidence he has turned the situation around," coach Mauricio Pochettino told a news conference on Friday.

Mbappe scored both goals in PSG's 3-2 aggregate defeat to Real Madrid in the Champions League last 16, but it was not enough as the team conceded three goals in the space of 16 minutes at the Santiago Bernabeu to suffer another embarrassing exit.

Pochettino still believes PSG were the better side, saying they "were better most of the time across both legs", but attention has turned towards wrapping up another Ligue 1 title and thinking about Mbappe's future.

In the absence of Marquinhos, who is suffering from muscle problems, Mbappe is a possible captain as the Qatar-backed club looks to secure a contract extension.

Asked what the club could offer Mbappe to stay, Pochettino said: "When he is here you can ask him and he'll give a better answer.

"We want the best for the club and the best for Kylian and we think the best for all parties is that he stays with us. There are negotiations that need to serve all parties to reach an agreement."

On Saturday, however, Mbappe could be handed the skipper's armband.

"It is possible. He is among those who are considered," said Pochettino.

The final Test of their England tour last year, which was supposed to be held at Old Trafford in Manchester, was postponed over Covid-19 fears and rearranged to be staged on their limited-overs tour this summer.

"See, I have on record said that we couldn’t have got a better coach than Kumble and we could have treated a cricketing legend like him much better. I find it intriguing that he was given a one-year term in 2016, while his predecessor (Ravi Shastri) was given two years term. Kumble was not only given one-year tenure but also there was no extension clause in his contract. Had there been an extension clause, I would have readily extended it," said Rai in conversation with&nbsp;FirstPost.

He further opined, "It was on this issue that Ram Guha was upset. He wanted us to automatically extend his term. Now, just imagine if we had extended the term, and somebody only to embarrass the CoA had gone to court, he could have easily stalled our move. So, I decided to follow the process and let Kumble be an automatic inclusion in the process."

But if someone like Sachin (Tendulkar), Sourav (Ganguly) or VVS (Laxman) speaks to the team management or the players, there is a greater chance of a breakthrough. Still, I believe the entire episode could have been handled 100 times better."
