<p>As quoted in local reports, ringmaster Jack Jay said the accident "looked like mistiming" when the acrobat "went to jump through one of the wheels and slipped, landing on the floor".&nbsp;</p>

<p>Jay added, "Maybe [it was] a very unfortunate momentary lapse, maybe a slight adjustment to the timing and a very serious outcome. But we're thrilled the news coming out is positive, given what happened, that he's in a good recovery state."&nbsp;</p>

<p>More than half of Spanish teenagers have watched pornography before turning 13, according to a report by the NGO Save the Children.</p>

<p>"Just by checking the age of access to adult content, we can have a profound impact on a person's development, health and life," Mar Espana, who helms national data protection agency AEPD, told a news conference.</p>

<p>Earlier this month, Britain introduced new age-checking guidance to prevent children from accessing online pornography.</p>

<p>The inappropriate use of smartphones by Spanish minors came into the spotlight in September when prosecutors launched a probe into fake nude pictures of young girls generated through an artificial intelligence app that were circulating on social media and chatrooms used by teenagers.</p>

<p>On Wednesday (Dec 13), Education Minister Pilar Alegria floated regulating the use of phones in schools, proposing zero use during school hours in primary schools and only under teacher supervision for educational purposes at secondary schools.</p>

<p>She will meet with regional governments, which handle their own education policy, in January to discuss the plan's implementation.</p>

<p>The new technology is being developed by the Royal Spanish Mint following AEPD recommendations. It will allow providers to ensure that the Internet user is an adult or has the minimum required age to access social media.</p>

<p>A Canadian woman named Tracey Thompson, suffering from long Covid&nbsp;is seeking assisted suicide after the disease robbed her off of all her&nbsp;life savings and the ability to get out of bed.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Thompson applied for the country's legal euthanasia programme after it became apparent she was stuck with an incurable disease and that her condition would not improve.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"My quality of life with this illness is almost nonexistent, it’s not a good life.&nbsp;I don’t do anything. It is painfully boring. It’s profoundly isolating,” she was quoted as saying by DailyMail.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Thompson hasn't been able to work a single day since 2020 when she first caught the virus. She is so sore and fatigued that she stays in bed for up to 22 hours a day.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Her symptoms developed as an ordinary COVID-19 patient - losing her sense of taste and smell while developing a sore throat was the first stage.&nbsp;</p>

<p>As a result, she was sent back home and her health continued to tumble. In the fall of the same year, she had to be rushed to the hospital after suffering intense chest pains and struggling to catch her breath for over 36 hours.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Thompson somehow managed to survive that particular onslaught but the treatment depleted her finances. With her health not improving, she kept losing money without any source of income.</p>
