<p>Egypt’s renowned visual artist Mohamed Abla returned a Goethe medal he won in 2022, in protest of what he described as Germany’s support for Israel in the ongoing war in Gaza.</p>

<p>“I am the Egyptian visual artist Mohamed Abla, founder of the Fayoum center for arts, and recipient of the Goethe prize, Germany’s highest honor. I decided today, officially and directly, to give up this medal and return it back to the German government,” Mohamed Abla said. “I cannot be proud that I received this medal. It no longer represents any importance to me, and for this reason I decided to return this medal back again,” he added.</p>

<p>As one of the first Arabs to receive this medal, Abla said it was a significant and honourable moment. However, he said, he felt there was a contradiction between the award and Germany's actions related to the war in Gaza.</p>

<p>“I was very happy with this medal, because I was the first Arab artist to receive it, and this was something that felt good. Also because I get to join a large list of artists around the world, over the course of 70 years, who have received this medal, it was an honorable thing and a plus (to my career),” Abla said</p>

<p>Vincent Fitzsimons, the agency's flood duty manager, said that Scotland is braced for impacts from Kathleen including very high winds and coastal flooding in western areas.</p>

<p>“Impacts start in the Solway coast and Firth of Clyde on Saturday and then move around the coast to the eastern side of the country over the next few days," Fitzsimons said, according to the report.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“Of particular concern is the likely impact to communities in the Western Isles and Orkney late Saturday and across Sunday," the official added.&nbsp;</p>

He also likened himself to Nelson Mandela, the former president of South Africa who spent 27 years behind bars for anti-apartheid activism. “I will gladly become a Modern Day Nelson Mandela — It will be my GREAT HONOR,” Trump wrote in a lengthy post on his Truth Social platform.</p>

<p>The post attacked New York State Supreme Court Judge Juan Merchan, who is presiding over the hush money case.</p>

<h2><strong>The gag order</strong></h2>

<p>Judge Juan Merchan has prohibited Trump from speaking about the case’s witnesses, jurors and lawyers in public. Additionally, the gag order restricts him from publicly speaking about court staff, employees in the Manhattan District Attorney’s office and their family members.</p>

<p>The gag order came after Trump urged Merchan to recuse himself from the case. Trump claims Merchan to be compromised as his daughter serves at a progressive consulting firm that has worked for Democrats.</p>

<p>When Trump went after Merchan’s daughter, he expanded the scope of the gag order to prohibit direct attacks on his own family members and those of Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.</p>

"The virus obtained from this person is nearly identical to what has been found in cows and birds in Texas," the CDC said.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The CDC added that there was no sign of person-to-person spread of the virus at this time.</p>

<p>"At this time, CDC believes that the overall risk to the general public posed by this virus remains low," it added.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The CDC further said that the infected farm worker&nbsp;in Texas had exposure to presumably infected cows. The patient reported eye redness, or conjunctivitis, as their only symptom and is recovering. "The patient was told to stay at home away from others and was treated with a flu antiviral drug," the health body added.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Highlighting that the current risk to the public remained low, people with close or long unprotected exposures to infected birds or other animals, or environments contaminated by infected birds or other animals, are at greater risk of infection.</p>
