At least three people have been killed and four are missing after a fire and explosion underground at a hydroelectric power plant in northern Italy on Tuesday (April 9), the local mayor said.

Italian utility group Enel confirmed that a fire had broken out on one of its transformers at its hydropower plant in Bargi, close to Bologna, in the early afternoon.

The fire brigade said earlier that an explosion had occurred around 3 pm&nbsp;(1300 GMT) at a dam on Lake Suviana, one of the three artificial lakes that feed the power station.

Marco Masinara, the mayor of the nearby town of Camugnano, said three dead bodies had been found and four people were missing, while three were "badly hurt" and taken to hospital.

He added that the initial indication was that the incident was probably caused by a defect in a turbine.

Enel has not commented on the cause. The company said the dam basin had not been damaged and that the plant was offline at the time of the incident so there was no impact on electricity supply.

Video supplied by firefighters showed thick smoke rising&nbsp;from the plant.

The deaths are likely to fuel concerns expressed by trade unions about workplace safety in Italy. Two of the country's largest unions were already due to hold a four-hour nationwide strike on Thursday to show dissatisfaction with the issue.

In a high-profile accident in February, five workers were killed and three seriously injured while building a supermarket in the city of Florence.

Enel said it had evacuated workers from the Bargi site and was coordinating with rescue workers from the fire department.

Trump's 2015 and 2016 financial statements valued the Trump's Manhattan townhouse at $327 million based on its stated size of more than 30,000 square feet, nearly three times the actual size.

During a testimony, Weisselberg on October 10 had claimed that he had nothing to do with the incorrect valuation of the unit.

Stewart Lucas Murrey from the city of Santa Monica said that he has filed the lawsuit seeking damages amounting to $2.6 million for defamation and sex-based discrimination as well as “emotional distress and pain and suffering”.&nbsp;

On his GoFundMe page, Murrey has claimed that at least 238 Facebook accounts were involved in “harming” him for over a year.&nbsp;

“Some of their acts included posting my pictures without my permission, tracking my whereabouts, conspiring to harass me, fabricating entire stories, and sensationalizing their unremarkable interactions with me,” he wrote.&nbsp;

Murrey also claimed that he had never met some of these women and “ever really saw” their faces on TV as they were talking about him in a press release.&nbsp;

“I support a safe space for women to protect themselves against being stalked, harassed or harmed, and not the other way around. These women exploited the concept of a safe space to gossip, defame and cyberbully anyone at whim,” he wrote.&nbsp;

Meanwhile, the women sued said Murrey was using legal action to intimidate them. One of the women, Kelly Gibbons, said that the first time she met him in real life was when he came to her house to drop off the lawsuit.

“My heart started pounding, as I thought, this man knows where I live,” Gibbons told the Times of London. She added, “It was pretty eerie. He was filming with his cellphone, walking in. I don’t know who wouldn’t get creeped out by that.”

Last month, some of the women who were sued by Murrey held a press conference and said they were “just speaking their truth and, unfortunately for him, it was not favourable.”&nbsp;

The women, who have also created a GoFundMe page, said that they are coming together to “share truthful accounts of our personal experiences” as well as “valid concerns pertaining to the plaintiff’s unsettling behaviour and background, all of which is public information.”

On their page, they also said that Murrey “poses a legitimate danger to the women of Los Angeles.”&nbsp;

The Federal Aviation Administration had filed his formal complaint in January and it was made public on Tuesday (April 9).&nbsp;

200 chemical plants in US face new limits on toxic emissions

A murder convict, Brian Dorsey, was executed by the state of Missouri on Tuesday (April 9) for killing his cousin and her husband.

The incident had occurred almost two decades ago and in this, the 4-year-old daughter of the couple was left home alone and unharmed.

The death sentence of Dorsey was carried out by the state by administering him a lethal injection at Eastern Reception, Diagnostic and Correctional Centre in Bonne Terre, Missouri's Department of Corrections said&nbsp;in a statement.&nbsp;

The doctors pronounced him dead at 6:11 pm local time. The court denied clemency to Brian Dorsey after two separate bids to intervene were rejected by the high court.&nbsp;

"If anyone deserves mercy, surely it is Brian, who has been fully rehabilitated and whose death sentence was so flawed that five of his jurors believe he should not be executed," said Henderson, in a statement.&nbsp;

"Executing Brian Dorsey is a pointless cruelty, an exercise of the state's power that serves no legitimate penological purpose," he added.&nbsp;

Dorsey, who had appealed for clemency, thanked those who made efforts to save his life. "To my family, friends, and all of those that tried to prevent this, I love you!" said Dorsey in a handwritten note that he left as his last words.&nbsp;

Further apologising for everything, Dorsey in his last words said, "To all of the family and loved ones I share with Sarah and to all of the surviving family and loved ones of Ben, I am totally, deeply, overwhelmingly sorry. Words cannot hold the just weight of my guilt and shame. I still love you. I never wanted to hurt anyone. I am sorry I hurt them and you."

The court had convicted Dorsey of killing cousin Sarah Bonnie and her husband, Ben Bonnie after he&nbsp;requested them for help while claiming that two drug dealers were asking him to clear his debts.

The launch of Angara-A5 was set to be the first for this type of rocket at the Vostochny Cosmodrome, Russia’s new launch site located in the forests of the Amur region in the country’s Far East.

Angara-A5 can reportedly deliver a heavier payload to orbit if launched from Vostochny since it is located closer to the equator.&nbsp;

The 42.7-metre Angara launch vehicle is capable of carrying payloads weighing more than 20 tonnes into orbit.
