More than five decades after it happened, the killing of Hiran "Ross" Grayam, a decorated World War II veteran, has been solved after the murderer confessed from "beyond the grave".

In April 1968, Grayam, a Purple Heart recipient, was found shot dead next to his milk van in Florida. For around 56 years, the sheriff's office was unable to solve the murder and "his killer eluded justice".

<h2>What happened in 1968?</h2>

The WWII veteran, who had faced the horrors of the Battle of the Bulge and the liberation of two concentration camps, had settled in Indian River County after the war.

In April 1968, as per a statement from the Indian River County Sheriff's Office, he set out on his familiar milk delivery route "unaware that it would be his last".

As per Indian River County sheriff Eric Flowers, first responders at the scene found Grayam "laying next to the milk truck with bullet wounds, killed execution-style".

However, "despite exhaustive efforts, his killer eluded justice."

<h2>How was the cold case solved?</h2>

Fifty-six years after the so-called&nbsp;"Milkman Homicide,"&nbsp;the "relentless pursuit of truth by the IRCSO Cold Case Unit breathed new life into Grayam's case."

As per ABC News, two people — his ex-wife, and a friend of his sister — came forward with the confession after the murderer, identified as Thomas J. Williams, died.

<h2>Gag order against Trump</h2>

The recent posts test the limits of the gag order against the former president which bars him from making public statements about witnesses, prosecutors, court staff and their family members, but not Judge Juan Merchan or Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.&nbsp;

In March, Merchan, who is overseeing the trial, imposed a gag order on Trump on the prosecutors’ request to block him from speaking about the witnesses. A month later, the judge extended the order to cover his own family members and those of the Manhattan DA.&nbsp;

On Saturday, at a campaign rally in Schnecksville, Pennsylvania, Trump reiterated his claims that he was a victim of political persecution and called the trial a “communist show”.&nbsp;

He added, “I will be forced to sit fully gagged. I’m not allowed to talk. They want to take away my constitutional right to talk.”&nbsp;

Her views about surrogacy are in line with views held by the Catholic Church. The church maintains that the practice violates the integrity of the child and the woman, who “becomes a mere means subservient to the arbitrary gain or desire of others.”

The move against surrogacy is seen as an attack on the rights of LGBTQ+ in Italy. The country, ruled by the right-wing PM, does not allow gay couples to be “married”, following principles of the Catholic Church.

In a bid to strengthen ties between the two nations, China's top lawmaker Zhao Leji on Saturday (Apr 13) met with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in Pyongyang and expressed Beijing's willingness to work towards boosting cooperation and deepening trust, said Chinese state media reports.

Zhao's official tour to North Korea marks the first visit by the highest-ranking Chinese official since the year 2018 when Li Zhanshu attended the 70th anniversary of North Korea's founding.

The meeting between the top Chinese diplomat and North Korean leader came as China kickstarted a "friendship year" with DPRK and is willing to make efforts for the diplomatic ties to reach a "higher level".

Kim Jong Un underlined that North Korea and China have a "deep historical tradition" and added that China-DPRK relations are "constantly developing to a new and higher stage," reported CCTV.
