The report by the Congressional Research Service (CRS), a public policy research institute of the United States Congress&nbsp;also highlighted the challenges in obtaining public information regarding the wealth and corruption of high-ranking Communist Party officials.&nbsp;

According to the report, Xi had accrued a staggering $376 million in company investments by 2012.

This is in addition to an indirect 18 per cent stake in a rare-earth mineral company valued over $311 million as well as holdings totaling $20.2 million in a technology company.

Xi Jinping using relatives to conceal $707.2mn wealth, says report

David Vigneault, Canada's intelligence agency chief, apparently paid two quiet visits to India in February and March, news agency PTI reported citing two people familiar with the matter.&nbsp;

The news agency said that the visits were to apprise Indian officials of the case relating to the killing of Khalistani extremist Hardeep Singh Nijjar.&nbsp;

Nijjar was declared a terrorist by India. He was shot dead outside a gurdwara in British Columbia in Surrey on June 18 last year.&nbsp;

The ban on cats was imposed in the year 1989 for HDB flats as the agency said that it was difficult to contain felines within the apartment and that “they tend to shed fur and defecate or urinate in public areas, and also make caterwauling sounds, which can inconvenience your neighbours.”

Reportedly, a survey that found over 90 per cent of the people agreed that cats should be allowed as pets in HDBs, may be one of the reasons for a change in the policy.

As per the new regulations, the residents would be permitted to own up to two cats and a dog of an approved breed.

The development comes as Singapore witnesses a rise in the number of pet owners and the amount spent on animals.

The new rules will come into effect in September 2024.

Singapore had about &nbsp;94,000 pet cats in 2023, which was approximately 10 per cent of what it witnessed in 2019, according to a Euromonitor International report cited by Singaporean broadcaster CNA.

Nine windows of the consulate were damaged and the building's door was graffitied, police said.

"CCTV has been sourced that shows a person wearing a dark coloured hoodie with their face obscured carrying what appears to be a small sledgehammer," a police spokesperson told Reuters by phone.

A spokesperson for the U.S. consulate confirmed the building had been damaged but said staff and operations were unaffected.

"Australian Federal Police and New South Wales Police are investigating the incident," the spokesperson said in a statement.

Photos of the consulate on the website of the Sydney Morning Herald newspaper showed inverted red triangles sprayed on the building's front. The symbol is used by some pro-Palestinian activists, it reported.

The same building was sprayed with graffiti in April, while the U.S. consulate in Melbourne was graffitied by pro-Palestine activists in May, according to the newspaper.

A rodeo bull triggered mayhem in the US state of Oregon after it jumped a fence in an attempt to escape the arena. &nbsp;

Reports said that the agency shared satellite images purportedly confirming the strike, a move that could raise the tensions between Russia and Ukraine at a time when Kyiv is urging countries to join a peace summit in Switzerland on June 15-16.&nbsp;&nbsp;

The GUR refrained from detailing how the Su-57 was hit or which specific Ukrainian military unit carried out the attack. The confirmation of the attack by the agency was made in a Telegram post on Sunday (June 9).&nbsp;&nbsp;

The development is significant because this is the first such instance after countries like US and France recently suggested that the Ukrainian Army is allowed to use the arms provided to them in order to target military targets inside Russian territory.

According to the blogger, the Su-57 was hit by a drone.&nbsp; The Russian blogger Fighterbomber mentioned that the jet fighter had been struck by shrapnel and that the extent of the damage was under evaluation to determine if the aircraft could be repaired.

The National Rally (RN) party inflicted a heavy defeat on Macron's camp. It scored over double the number of votes of the head of state's centrist alliance, projections indicated.&nbsp;

Projections published by several polling firms showed that the RN's list, led by Jordan Bardella, gained between 32.3 and 33 per cent of the vote compared with 14.8 to 15.2 per cent for Macron's alliance, which was led by his Renaissance party.&nbsp;

"Far right parties... are progressing everywhere in the continent. It is a situation to which I cannot resign myself," Macron said.&nbsp;

"I decided to give you the choice... Therefore I will dissolve the National Assembly tonight.&nbsp;

"This decision is serious and heavy but it is an act of confidence. Confidence in you, dear compatriots, and in the capacity of the French people to make the best choice for itself and future generations."&nbsp;
