US District Judge Trina Thompson ruled on Tuesday (Jul&nbsp;9) that the claims brought by former Twitter employees did not fall under the federal Employee Retirement Income Security Act (Erisa), which governs benefit plans. She said that, as such, the court lacked jurisdiction to hear the case.

Judge Thompson determined that Erisa did not apply to the severance plan because it did not constitute an "ongoing administrative scheme" involving case-by-case review or additional benefits such as continued health insurance or outplacement services.&nbsp;

Notably, after the strike, Israel released a statement saying its forces were targeting&nbsp;a Hamas operative using the precise munition.&nbsp;

“Earlier this evening, using precise munition, the [Israeli air force] struck a terrorist from Hamas’ military wing who took part, among other terrorist activities, in the October 7 brutal massacre," the Israeli military said.&nbsp;

According to reports, the Biden administration will resume shipping 500-pound bombs to Israel&nbsp;but hold back on supplying 2,000-pound bombs.&nbsp;

A BBC Radio Commentator, John Hunt’s family including her wife and two daughters were brutally murdered in their&nbsp;home in&nbsp;Bushey, United Kingdom&nbsp;on Tuesday (Jul 9). The reason for the murders is unknown. However, Chief Superintendent Jon Simpson said at a news conference that police believe it was a "targeted incident".

Speaking after the accused faced court on Thursday morning, New South Wales Det Supt Danny Doherty said police would allege the man was the sole perpetrator.

He said police would allege the couple had a “domestic dispute” which then led to the alleged acts.

“What we will allege is that he prevented policemen and the neighbour getting into the premises, was holding on to the children, at least one child being the 11-year-old, had to be wrestled from that child, had to be wrestled away from the fire,” Doherty said.

The incident has horrified the country and comes at a time when Australia's government has declared domestic and family violence a "national crisis".

An American Airlines flight at the Tampa International Airport, narrowly averted a major accident on Wednesday (Jul 10) when one of its tyres suffered a blowout during takeoff. Smoke and flame could be seen billowing out of the plane, prompting emergency services to circle the plane as the pilot aborted the takeoff attempt.&nbsp;

According to the airline company, flight 590, a Boeing 737-900 aircraft,&nbsp;bound for Phoenix developed a 'mechanical problem' prior to leaving the ground and immediately after it had taxied onto the runway tarmac.&nbsp;The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is investigating after the pilots mentioned experiencing "multiple blown tyres".&nbsp;

"The flight was headed to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. The FAA will investigate. Please contact the airline for additional information," read the statement.&nbsp;

At the time of the incident, there were 174 passengers and six crew members on the plane but thankfully none of them suffered any injuries. They all disembarked safely and were transported back to the terminal, per reports.&nbsp;

Captain Steven Markovich captured the video showing the incident. He could be heard saying that the plane blew an engine before clearing that it had blown a tyre.&nbsp;
