Halevi, speaking from&nbsp;ground zero where the operation took place, stated that his soldiers maintained professionalism and got the job done to neutralise the mastermind of the October 7 attacks despite not having any intel.&nbsp;

“Look, we have done many special forces operations in this war, where he had excellent information, we sent prepared troops with instructions where to go,” said Halevi.&nbsp;

“Here, we didn’t know. and the response is very strong, its not weak. It's your professionalism, and determination, and the precise identification and the awareness," the IDF chief of staff added, who was joined by&nbsp;Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar, IDF Southern Command head Maj. According to the joint statement by the IDF and Shin Bet, over the last few weeks,&nbsp;the 162nd Division and Gaza Division had been operating in Gaza in areas&nbsp;where intelligence indicated that&nbsp;senior Hamas officials were hiding.&nbsp;

That was the only piece of intel IDF troops had when a&nbsp;force from the 828th Bislamach Brigade saw several Hamas militants entering a building during the operation. Consequently,&nbsp;they persuaded them which led to the ultimate kill.&nbsp;

After recovering the body, the IDF issued a statement saying it needed some time to confirm the identity.&nbsp;Sinwar’s body was brought to Israel for DNA analysis as his data and other biometric information were stored from his time in prison there. According to a report by news agency&nbsp;AFP, the IDF also ran dental checks which returned positive identification.&nbsp;

“The mass murderer Yahya Sinwar, who is responsible for the massacre and atrocities of October 7, was killed today by IDF soldiers,” Israeli Foreign Minister&nbsp;Israel Katz said in a statement.&nbsp;

“This is a great military and moral achievement for Israel and a victory for the entire free world against the evil axis of radical Islam led by Iran,” he added.&nbsp;

An organ donor came back to life thrashing and crying just as doctors prepared to harvest his body parts, an NPR report has revealed. The incident happened in 2021 and the publication spoke to witnesses who recalled the incident.

Thirty-six-year-old Thomas 'TJ' Hoover II's sister and former Kentucky Organ Donor Affiliates (KODA) employees told NPR that he was declared brain dead. The surgeons prepared to remove his organs at Baptist Health Richmond Hospital in Kentucky in October 2021 and were about to check his heart health when he showed signs of being alive.

“He was moving around — kind of thrashing. Like, moving, thrashing around on the bed,” Natasha Miller, a former KODA employee told NPR in an interview. “And then when we went over there, you could see he had tears coming down. He was crying visibly.”

Hoover was taken to the hospital on the same day following a drug overdose and was declared brain dead. His sister told NPR that she saw Hoover seemingly open his eyes and look around while he was being taken from the Intensive Care Unit to the Operating Room. However, the doctors dismissed it as a common reflex.

But the surgeons backed off, refusing to go ahead with the organ removal procedure after Hoover started moving. “The procuring surgeon, he was like, ‘I’m out of it. I don’t want to have anything to do with it,’ ” Miller says. “It was very chaotic. Everyone was just very upset.”

The case coordinator at the hospital for KODA then called her supervisor for advice, who reportedly told her to "find another doctor".&nbsp;

"She was saying that he was telling her that she needed to ‘find another doctor to do it’ – that, ‘We were going to do this case. She needs to find someone else,’" Miller said.

<h2>Several employees quit, took therapy to recover from the incident</h2>

The organ retrieval was called off and several employees quit afterwards.&nbsp;

Nyckoletta Martin, another organ preservationist who quit KODA but was not assigned to the case, said she reviewed case notes and was shocked to learn that the patient was showing signs of life as the doctors went in to check his heart health.

Martin alleged that the doctors sedated the patient when he woke up and plans to harvest the organs were still in place at the time.&nbsp;

“That’s everybody’s worst nightmare, right? Being alive during surgery and knowing that someone is going to cut you open and take your body parts out?” Martin says. “That’s horrifying.”

The details of the incident came to light in September when Nyckoletta Martin wrote to the House Energy and Commerce Committee. A hearing investigating organ procurement organisations was later held.&nbsp;

“Several of us that were employees needed to go to therapy. It took its toll on a lot of people, especially me,” Martin told NPR.

The allegations are being reviewed, the Kentucky state attorney general’s office told NPR.

Sinwar, in the video&nbsp;appears to be missing his right hand and can be seen sitting on a couch alone with his face covered. When he notices the drone hovering near him, he tries to shoo it away by throwing something at the device However, he fails to hit it.&nbsp;

The soldiers then order a second strike at the building resulting in Sinwar's death, along with two other Hamas terrorists.

The infant, aged four months and possibly from Iraqi Kurdistan, was on board with his parents and two other children, prosecutors said.

The passengers onboard "were mainly of Iranian, Iraqi, Albanian and Eritrean nationality," Guirec Le Bras, the public prosecutor in Boulogne-sur-Mer, told AFP.

The latest sinking comes as an anti-immigration mood is dominating political debate in Europe.

The tragedy brings to at least 52 the number of people who have died attempting to reach England from France so far this year -- a record since 2018.

During a rescue operation on Thursday evening, several vessels and a Belgian helicopter spotted an overcrowded boat, with some of its passengers in the water.

The boat "was tearing at the centre, with some passengers falling into the water, while others were holding on to the inflatable elements", the prosecutor said.

The maritime prefecture said that 65 people had been recovered "unharmed."&nbsp;

Authorities launched a manslaughter investigation and were interviewing the survivors as part of the probe.

The Duterte and Marcos families have had a very public falling out as both attempt to shore up their rival support bases and secure key positions ahead of the mid-term elections next year and presidential polls in 2028.

The remains of the elder Marcos were laid to rest at the "Cemetery of Heroes" in 2016 after then-president Rodrigo Duterte, Sara's father, dismissed public criticism that the long-deceased dictator -- accused of widespread rights abuses and embezzling billions -- did not deserve the honour.

Sara Duterte, 46, told reporters on Friday she had relayed the exhumation threat to the incumbent president's elder sister, Senator Imee Marcos, and warned their family to stop harassing her.
