The former chief executive of the&nbsp;Abercrombie&nbsp;and Fitch clothing giant has pleaded not guilty to trafficking male models for sex parties around the world, US prosecutors said Friday.

Mike Jeffries, 80, who was arrested on Tuesday, was arraigned Friday in the US District Court for the Eastern District of New York, where he denied the charges.

Jeffries, whose lover Matthew Smith has also been charged, was joined by his wife and son as he signed a $10 million bail bond using a New York home as collateral.

He will be subject to house arrest and electronic monitoring as he awaits trial.

Jeffries, Smith and the pair's fixer James Jacobson allegedly used a "casting couch" ploy to groom aspiring male models to attend sex parties at which victims were plied with alcohol and drugs.

Jeffries is also prohibited from contacting his co-accused, witnesses or victims, court sources said.&nbsp;

The next hearing will be on December 12 in front of judge Nusrat Choudhury.&nbsp;

Jacobson also pleaded not guilty to the same charges.&nbsp;

He will also await trial under house arrest after paying half a million dollars bond.&nbsp;

Smith has not yet been arraigned but on Tuesday a federal judge in West Palm Beach, Florida remanded him in custody arguing he was a flight risk as a British passport-holder.&nbsp;

Prosecutors allege that between December 2008 and March 2015 Jeffries, Smith and Jacobson used a combination of "force, fraud and coercion" to traffic men in a sprawling prostitution enterprise.

Charging documents detail 15 anonymous victims, but prosecutors suggest the scale was probably much larger and have appealed for witnesses and victims to come forward.

On the issue of disengagement, Jaishankar said that the recent agreement paved the way for the high-level meeting between the Indian PM and the Chinese leader.

Researchers removed the KOBO's flesh and cleaned its bones by submerging them in New Bedford harbour for five months. The bones were then reassembled. However, despite all that cleaning, they could not get all the oil to drain out which is still dripping.

"They did a pretty good job of getting the bones clean. They didn't get all the oil out though," Bob Rocha, New Bedford Whaling Museum’s associate curator of science and research, told WBZ-TV.

These sea beasts are extremely oily creatures, so much so that they were hunted to take it off them and use it in soaps, lubricants, and even edible things like margarine.

Whale oil was also once used in explosives.

It is filled in a whale's bone marrow and helps it to maintain buoyancy. Rocha told Popular Science that the abundance of oil in a whale also acts as a reserve energy source for the marine creatures.

All that oil still remains intact in this blue whale which is still leaking oil 26 years on. Despite best efforts to remove it all, the 66-foot skeleton still has a lot of it.

Rocha says it adds to a visitor's experience of visiting the museum.&nbsp;

"I like the fact that that skeleton is oily because it adds to a person's experience coming in, being able to smell the oil, get a sense of what it might have been like to be stuck on a whale ship for three years," Rocha told WBZ-TV.

US media reported that a senior Post figure, editor at large Robert Kagan, had resigned in protest.
