Kerala seeks more autonomy in temple administration, says minister

Kerala’s Devaswom and Health Minister K Muraleedharan has sparked a fresh discussion on temple management in the state. On Monday, he clarified that the government is not looking to fight with the judiciary. But he also said Kerala needs more freedom to run temple affairs on its own. The statement comes amid ongoing debates over how much control the state should have over temples and their administration.
