Covid Updates: Drugmaker Merck’s COVID pill cuts deaths, hospitalizations by half

Five million lives have been lost due to Covid pandemic. Drugmaker Merck has now given new hopes, as it claims that its its COVID-19 pill will reduce hospitalizations and deaths by half in people recently infected with the Covid and that it would soon ask health officials around the world to authorize its use.
