<p>The prosecutor made the remark during the opening statements made in the triple-murder trial held on Wednesday (April 10).</p>

<p>The police have charged Daybel and his current wife Lori Vallow in connection with the killing of the man's former wife Tammy Daybell and her children Joshua "JJ" Vallow and Tylee Ryan.</p>

<p>"You’ll hear in the world Chad and Lori planned for themselves, they identified those who stood in the way of their dream as dark,'' argued Madison County Prosecutor Rob Wood.</p>

<p>"Their spouses, Lori’s children and anyone who opposed them were labelled sometimes as dark spirits or even zombies. The evidence will show that it was a convenient narrative that dehumanized people who stood in their way," he added.</p>

<p>Wood further said that Chad Daybell even talked about how the children were "possessed". He even&nbsp;"predicted"&nbsp;that his wife Tammy Daybell would die soon.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, Daybell’s attorney John Prior appealed to the jury to look into the facts of the case.</p>

<p>"Don’t be distracted by speculation. Don’t be distracted by guesses or assumptions or hunches. It all comes down to facts and evidence," Prior said, in his opening statement.</p>

<h2><strong>How did the case unfold and the killings come to light?</strong></h2>

<p>In June 2020, Daybell was arrested after the remains of Joshua and Tylee were found by the police on his property in Fremont County, Idaho. The court is likely to continue the trial for the last 10 weeks. &nbsp;</p>

<p>As per the authorities, the stepchildren's remains were hidden by Daybell between September 2019 and June 2020.</p>

<p>In November 2019, a formal search of the two kids started after family members reached out to the authorities since they had not seen or spoken to the kids, said the Rexburg Police Department.</p>

<p>According to the court documents, the remains of Joshua were buried in a pet cemetery and the accused had dismembered and burned Tylee in a fire pit.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Speaking about finding Joshua's remains under a tree, Rexburg Police Detective Ray Hermosillo said, "There were taller shrubs. In the middle of the six-by-six section, it looked like there was just a little bit of grass. ... The ERT team began excavating that site. They removed the top layer of soil ... at that point, you could see what appeared to be three large white rocks." &nbsp;</p>

<p>"As soon as they did that you could start to smell the odour, through my training experiences a decomposing body," he added.</p>

<p>Hermosillo added that after digging a bit further, the officials discovered a "small body wrapped in black plastic with duct tape around it."</p>

<p>America's Emergency Alert System test has been a topic of conversation for weeks now. Leading up to the test run, the US government prepped the public to not be shocked when the test goes off at 2:20 pm on October 4. Yet, it did manage to surprise people since it&nbsp;went off at 2:18 pm, two minutes before schedule.</p>

<h2><strong>Intern to blame?</strong></h2>

<p>It isn't known whether the early blaring of the FEMA Emergency Alert System was an accident or if it was sounded two minutes early on purpose.</p>

Hong Kong&#39;s 2014 pro-democracy &quot;Umbrella Revolution&quot; was re-imagined as a zombie apocalypse by gamemakers who transformed politicians and protesters into the walking dead using virtual reality (VR) technology at a comic and games expo on Friday.<br />

Teenagers and video game enthusiasts packed the Ani-Com show at the city&#39;s harbourfront convention centre and queued for &quot;Hong Kong Infected&quot;, where they shot down protesters and police officers who had been afflicted by an unknown contagion.<br />

In late 2014, tens of thousands took part in a mass pro-democracy rally, dubbed the &quot;Umbrella Revolution&quot; which paralysed the city for more than two months, with residents calling on Beijing to allow fully free elections of future leaders.<br />
<br />
The rally exploded on September 28 of that year when police fired tear gas to disperse crowds.But in the virtual reality parallel universe, they were turned into zombies.<br />
<br />
&quot;(In the game) there is a mysterious gas released at that time when protesters are being dispersed,&quot; Elphonso Lam, art director for production house YYY Industry which created the game, told AFP.<br />
<br />
&quot;You can imagine how scary it would be as the protesters, police and even lawmakers turn into zombies,&quot; Lam said.&nbsp;<br />
<br />
&quot;We wanted to make a record of what Hong Kongers have experienced, so we used this topic,&quot; he said, adding that very few local productions would be willing to touch upon such a sensitive issue.&nbsp;The game was designed for the virtual reality platform and players got their first look at the show.<br />
<br />
Players also have to gun down &quot;the boss&quot;, an enlarged, zombified version of a pro-Beijing lawmaker, in a three-dimensional re-creation of the area near the government headquarters where the protests were held.<br />
<br />
The game is expected to be released next year along with a feature-length film and a comic series on the same storyline.<br />
<br />
Player Flan Lau, 24, who along with other players wore an Oculus VR headset and held up a mock gun to play the demo, said the experience was better than traditional video games.<br />
<br />
&quot;If you are unable to experience a three-dimensional environment... there is a difference,&quot; the subway technician told AFP.<br />
<br />
Sony also displayed their newest VR kit, which will launch in October with their PS4 gaming console, to the exhibition.<br />

&quot;Everybody is talking about VR...I believe this trend will totally change the gaming industry,&quot; Sony Marketing Communication for Hong Kong assistant general manager Jacqueline Chiu said.<br />
