Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin conducted a virtual meeting on Wednesday, China Central Television (CCTV) reported.

Xi Jinping expressed&nbsp;gratitude to Russian President Vladimir Putin for safeguarding China-Russia relations against attempts by other powers to destabilise them.&nbsp;

On Wednesday, Russian President Vladimir Putin reminded his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping, that Russia-Beijing ties are an example of how state relations should grow in the twenty-first century.

"I am glad to have the opportunity to be in direct communication with you. This allows us to thoroughly discuss the development of Russian-Chinese relations, comprehensive partnership, and strategic interaction. I consider these relations to be a real model of interstate cooperation in the 21st century," Putin said during the online meeting.

Xi thanks Putin for standing against attempts to undermine China-Russia relations

Pakistan on Sunday hosted a virtual meeting of the special representatives and envoys of Afghanistan’s neighbouring countries, including China and Iran, indicating Islamabad’s growing influence in the Taliban-controlled region.

During the meeting, the Pakistan’s foreign office said, participants agreed that peace in the war-torn nation is crucial for security and stability of the region, it’s foreign office said in a statement.

The meeting&nbsp;was chaired by Pakistan’s special representative for Afghanistan Mohammad Sadiq and attended by representatives of China, Iran, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.

"During the meeting, views were exchanged on the latest situation in Afghanistan," it said.

"Colleagues from Iran, China, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, were unanimous that peace in Afghanistan is vital for security, stability and prosperity of the entire region," Sadiq said.

The Special Representatives/Envoys of neighbours of Afghanistan agreed to remain in close contact.

The meeting comes a day after Pakistan’s Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) chief Lieutenant General Faiz Hameed meeting the Taliban leadership, which is struggling to form government, in Kabul.

Ever since Taliban took over Afghanistan on August 15, Pakistan has been taking series of steps to underscore their close relationship with the Islamist group.

Islamabad has long been accused of providing safe haven to Taliban insurgents and helping them to oust the Kabul government led by Ahsraf Ghani.

There also have been reports that in the last phone call between US President Joe Biden and Ghani on July 23, the latter informed Biden that Afghanistan was under full-scale invasion and that there was full support of Pakistan.

A developer has now created the Zoom Escaper, a tool that will play sounds so unbearable on your Zoom call that other people will want you to get off the line.

The application provides a library of annoying sounds to use as a get-out-of-Zoom-free-card. It can replicate the sound of a bad connection, or more customarily frustrating sounds -- annoying everyone on the video call who can no longer understand you.

Zoom Escaper’s website says the service “allows you to self-sabotage your audio stream, making your presence unbearable to others.”

All the annoying sounds have the same outcome – that is, to trigger everyone on the call to find you so irritating that they tell you to leave, or allowing you to bow out gracefully – for the benefit of everyone else.

They can then go to Zoom settings and set the “VB-Cable” app as the default microphone and start applying the settings from the Zoom Escaper website.&nbsp;

Users can reset their microphone settings on Zoom back to set their computer’s microphone as default to turn the effects off.

"An employee accidentally tweeted a photo with part of the pin code", a Defense spokesperson told RTL Nieuws. "The photo was then deleted. A stupid mistake. This shows how careful you should be careful when sending a picture of a meeting."
