U.S. President Donald Trump has launched a war on drugs, with the Navy destroying several vessels suspected of narco-trafficking. However, it has now emerged that drugs were sold aboard USS Abraham Lincoln.

US soldiers were high on drugs, fentanyl on USS Abraham Lincoln

It's the ship that broke the internet. The USS Abraham Lincoln pulled into Thailand streaked with rust from bow to stern after 286 days at sea — the longest stretch without a full port call in modern Navy history. The nuclear supercarrier's 5,000 sailors and Marines endured combat operations against Iran, food shortages, and reported mental health struggles, including overboard attempts. Trump called the deployment "not nearly long enough." Now, Pattaya gets a busy week — and the Lincoln gets a well-earned repaint.

Battered by war, USS Lincoln finally reaches Thailand

The USS Abraham Lincoln is facing growing pressure after spending nearly nine months deployed at sea during US military operations related to the Iran war. The aircraft carrier, carrying around 5,000 sailors and Marines, has reportedly spent more than 250 days at sea, with concerns over supplies, exhaustion and prolonged deployment conditions.

A report by The New York Times highlights how damage to a key US Navy logistics facility in Bahrain disrupted resupply and support operations. With other regional ports also facing security risks, the US military reportedly shifted part of its logistics network toward Diego Garcia.

The prolonged deployment has raised concerns about food supplies, broken plumbing, limited port calls and the mental strain of extended operations. Military experts say spending months at sea without regular access to shore can take a significant toll on service members.

Conditions of sailors aboard USS Abraham Lincoln sparks debate

The father of a U.S. navy sailor serving aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln has been taken into immigration detention in Florida. Luis Manuel Aviles Roa, a Nicaraguan immigrant, was detained by border patrol and is facing removal proceedings. His son Joshua has spent more than nine months deployed aboard the carrier.
The case comes amid a broader tightening of immigration enforcement. It also comes as the uss abraham Lincoln leaves the west asia war after a record-setting deployment, amid reports of shortages and mental-health concerns that the Pentagon and defense secretary pete hegseth have strongly disputed.
