"Sooner rather than later, Toledo will answer to Peruvian justice," Tello told television station Canal N, adding that his extradition should take place in a "matter of days".

The Peruvian minister said 77-year-old Toledo is expected to be held while he awaits trial in a jail complex in the outskirts of Lima that was built to hold former president Alberto Fujimori. Former president Pedro Castillo is also being held there.

Fujimori, who ruled from 1990 to 2000, is serving a 25-year prison sentence for human rights abuses, while Castillo is being held in pre-trial detention while he is under investigation for alleged rebellion after trying to dissolve Congress in December. He denies wrongdoing.

Toledo's defence has said it will present another appeal in the U.S., according to Tello, who called it an obvious "delaying tactic."

The United State's top regulator has alleged that the Indian manufacturer of eye drops connected to three deaths and serious infections in the country&nbsp;violated a number of safety standards.&nbsp;

After visiting the Global Pharma plant in Chennai, India, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) released a report last week. as reported by the BBC.&nbsp;After an FDA suggestion, the company recalled the drops in February.&nbsp;

The products' imports have also been stopped by the FDA.&nbsp;

The eye drops, manufactured in India by Global Pharma and imported into the US under the brand names EzriCare Artificial Tears and Delsam Pharma's Artificial Tears, were linked to a deadly outbreak of infections that were resistant to treatment.

The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) discovered 68 patients in 16 states in March who had a rare strain of Pseudomonas aeruginosa, which can lead to life-threatening infections, particularly in those with weakened immune systems. Prior to the most recent outbreak, the drug-resistant strain has never been discovered in the nation.&nbsp;

Cook claimed the shooter "didn't say anything" before opening fire on him, which according to authorities also sparked panic among shoppers in the mall.&nbsp;

Colie, according to the report, was detained by police while seated in the food court of the mall near a gun. He was then charged with aggravated malicious injury, shooting while committing a crime, and firing a gun into an occupied structure.

Cook's father, Jeramy, stated that they were certain he would make a full recovery. Jeramy Cook said to WUSA, "We live on faith, not fear."

According to Tanner Cook, he is not upset with Colie. He added that creating videos is his life's passion and he has no intention of letting the shooting deter&nbsp;him.
