In 2021, the United Kingdom and the world were shocked after the horrifying crimes of 'Necro Lord' David Fuller came to light. Over a period of 15 years, Fuller had sexually abused the corpses of 101 women and girls in the hospital mortuaries. Now, in the wake of his sickening crimes, the nation is set to introduce a law that will sentence perverts like him to five-year in prison.

<h2>Punishing Necrophilia</h2>

As per reports, under the new law, criminals who sexually abuse dead bodies will face prison time of&nbsp;seven years.

The changes, as per the report, will also create a new offence of "sexual activity with a corpse" which will punish non-penetrative crimes with a maximum prison sentence of five years.

This will be made possible after the government amends the existing 2003 legislation and increases the current sentence for penetrating corpses from two to seven years, said Justice minister Laura Farris, as cited by Daily Mail. The amendment was initially brought forward by Conservative former ministers Greg Clark and Dame Tracey Crouch.

Addressing the House of Commons, Clark said, "All of Fuller's crimes are, frankly, unspeakable, but as well as the current sentencing limit being absurdly inadequate to deal with, in effect, the rape of dead bodies, it does not cover at all any form of sexual assault that is non-penetrative."

He said there was "clearly a gap" in the current law that needs to be patched up, and "That's what this new clause aims to do."

Lending his voice to the more than 100 victims of David Fuller, Clark said they "were robbed of their lives and then their dignity and then the victims".

He added that their families have also been robbed of adequate justice, their devastation "has been heart-breaking".

<h2>The gravity of the crimes</h2>

Justice Minister Farris said, "such was the extent of Fuller's offending, we've had to do so and the Government is pleased to confirm the Sexual Offences Act 2003 will be amended under this legislation to capture the sexual touch of a corpse, with a new maximum sentence of seven years for penetrative offences, and five for non-penetrative acts".

Fuller, a maintenance worker, sexually abused the bodies of at least 101 women and girls aged between nine and 100 while employed at the now-closed Kent and Sussex Hospital and the Tunbridge Wells Hospital, in Pembury, between 2005 and 2020.

Not only that, he had recorded himself committing the gruesome crimes. He was also found guilty of murdering 25-year-old Wendy Knell, 20-year-old Caroline Pierce, and two separate attacks in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, in 1987.

After local election results showed that the UK is headed for a Labour government, former home secretary Suella Braverman stated that the Conservatives had run out of time to oust Rishi Sunak but that he needed to "own this and fix it." The Labour Party is expected to retake power in the UK after 14 years, as the current Conservative Party of Britain suffered significant losses in local election results on Friday, May 3. Sunak's "plan is not working," according to Braverman, and the prime minister must alter his strategy because "at this rate we will be lucky to have any Conservative MPs at the next election." “The thing everyone should take from Birmingham and the West Midlands tonight is this brand of moderative, inclusive, tolerant conservatism, that gets on and delivered, has come within an ace of beating the Labour party in what they considered to be their backyard – that’s the message from here tonight,” the former West Midlands mayor said. Also read: Major blow to Rishi Sunak as former health minister switches over to Labour Party Sunak, on the other hand, is caught in a dilemma since the Reform UK party is taking votes from the Tories on the right, coming within 150 votes of the party in the Blackpool South byelection. Rishi Sunak is not conservative enough: Braverman Braverman said Conservative voters were "on strike" because Sunak's smoking ban and laws against pedicabs were not conservative enough. She advocated for action on the European Court of Human Rights, a limit on legal migration, and greater tax cuts. “I’m urging the prime minister to change course, to with humility reflect on what voters are telling us and change the plan and the way that he’s communicating and leading us," Braverman, who was fired by Sunak last year, stated on BBC One's Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg. When asked why he should not be removed since the situation was so bad, she replied, “Listen, I just don’t think that is a feasible prospect, we don’t have enough time and it’s impossible for anyone new to change our fortunes. There’s no superman or superwoman out there. Rishi Sunak has been leading us for 18 months. These are consequences of his decisions. He needs to own this and therefore he needs to fix it.” When asked whether or not she had participated in a plot against Sunak, Braverman replied that many of her peers were "privately demoralised." The United Kingdom is currently experiencing a significant surge in criminal activities, including record-breaking levels of shoplifting and robberies of business and personal properties.

The United Kingdom is currently experiencing a significant surge in criminal activities, including record-breaking levels of shoplifting and robberies of business and personal properties. Shoplifting reaches a new high with almost 1,200 offences a day According to the Office for National Statistics (ONS), shoplifting reached a new high in the United Kingdom (UK) with almost 1,200 offences a day. Meanwhile, the number of cases solved is as low as only 10 per cent or one in 10. In 2023, there were a total of 430,104 shoplifting offences logged by police, 37 per cent more than the 315,040 recorded in the previous 12 months to December 2022. These numbers are the highest for shoplifting incidents since records began in March 2003. The previous record was set in 2018 by 50,000 shoplifting incidents. Decrease in the proportion of shoplifters charged Another Home Office data suggests that the percentage of shoplifting offences where the thief is charged is 10.5 per cent, 4.5 per cent less than the previous 15 per cent. In 2016 the percentage was as high as 27.7 per cent when these records began. UK's crackdown on shoplifters The UK government has announced new measures to address shoplifting. Repeat offenders will now face tagging and bans from shopping areas, while assaulting shop workers has been designated as a separate criminal offense, punishable by up to two years in prison. The United Kingdom parliament on Monday (April 22) passed the controversial Rwanda migrant bill which will allow the government to deport asylum-seekers to the East African nation.

The United Kingdom parliament on Monday (April 22) passed the controversial Rwanda migrant bill which will allow the government to deport asylum-seekers to the East African nation. The bill was passed after a lengthy tussle between the House of Commons and the House of Lords. The bill, after being scrutinised by the members of the unelected upper house, was repeatedly sent back with suggested amendments to MPs in the lower chamber. However, eventually, they agreed that the bill did not require any further changes and could now become a law. Reacting to the passing of the bill, Home Secretary James Cleverly called it a “landmark moment in our plan to stop the boats”. Also Read: Sunak's Rwanda Policy: Sunak plans to use leased RAF voyagers to deport migrants: Report In a video shared on social media, Cleverly said: “The Safety of Rwanda Bill has passed in Parliament and it will become law within days. The Act will prevent people from abusing the law by using false human rights claims to block removals. And it makes clear that the UK Parliament is sovereign, giving the Government the power to reject interim blocking measures imposed by European courts." “I promised to do what was necessary to clear the path for the first flight. That’s what we have done. Now we’re working day in and day out to get flights off the ground," he added. Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, along with his ruling Conservatives, has been trying to push through the legislation which will compel judges to see the East African nation as a safe third country. The absence of any deportations, two years after the bill was first introduced, was perceived as a major failure for Rishi Sunak, who had earlier highlighted stopping small boats as a key priority. The passing of the bill has brought the prime minister close to the first deportation flight which is likely to take off soon. Sunak had asked parliamentarians to “sit there tonight and vote no matter how late it goes” before the beginning of the fourth round of ‘ping pong’ between the Commons and the Lords. Sunak plans first migrant flight to Rwanda in next 10-12 weeks British PM Sunak on Monday (April 22) said that the first flight filled with asylum seekers to Rwanda will leave in 10-12 weeks. While addressing a press conference, Sunak said that he cannot outline the plan's exact operational details, but added that specific preparations have been made by the government. Watch: Rishi Sunak: First deportation flights will leave UK for Rwanda in 10-12 weeks "I can confirm that we've put an airfield on standby, booked commercial charter planes for specific slots, and we have 500 highly trained individuals ready to escort illegal migrants all the way to Rwanda with 300 more trained in the coming weeks. We are ready. Plans are in place. And these flights will go come what may," Sunak said. "Fundamental change in the global equation on migration. If you come here illegally, you will not be able to stay," he added. As per the timeline decided by Sunak, the first flight will leave in July. (With inputs from agencies)

The United Kingdom's immigration authorities arrested 11 men and one woman recently over allegedly being in breach of their visa conditions and working illegally at a cake factory and bedding and mattress factory.

The UK Home Office on Wednesday (Apr 10) released a statement saying that the Immigration Enforcement officers dismounted the bedding and mattress business in the West Midlands region of Britain after illegal work was being carried out on-site.

Seven men were arrested from there, all said to be Indian nationals over suspected illegal working, said the Home Office.

Later, four more Indian men were arrested at a cake factory over suspicion of being in breach of their visa conditions.

“Four more Indian men were arrested at a nearby cake factory. They were found to be in breach of their visa conditions, and one was also working illegally. An Indian woman was then arrested for immigration offences at a private home, with further raids planned throughout the afternoon,” it said.

The officials, according to news agency PTI, said that four of the offenders were detained pending review over removal from the UK or deportation to India.

The other&nbsp;eight&nbsp;were sent out on bail on the condition that they will report regularly to the Home Office.

The two businesses under the radar could possibly face significant fines if it gets established that they did not conduct pre-employment checks or employed illegal workers.

“This operation is a clear example of the way we are stepping up immigration enforcement activity across the country,” said Michael Tomlinson, UK Minister for Countering Illegal Migration.

“Employers found to be breaching the rules can expect significantly increased fines, and if workers are found to have no right to live or work here, we will not hesitate to act and remove them from the country,” he said.

In the month of February, the Home Office raised the fines significantly to three times for employers who allowed illegal migrants to work for them.

“Illegal working causes serious harm to communities, puts vulnerable people at risk and defrauds the public purse. The arrests send a clear message that we are clamping down on this dangerous practice,” said Eddy Montgomery, Director of Enforcement, Compliance and Crime at the Home Office.

“People smugglers sell migrants the lie that they can work in the UK. The reality is that they can’t – and those found to be working illegally or facilitating this crime will face the full weight of the law,” he said.

The officials, according to news agency PTI, said that four of the offenders were detained pending review over removal from the UK or deportation to India. (With inputs from agencies)

A former UK teacher who is in jail for raping a child while working as the deputy head at a primary school has now been banned from ever teaching again.

44-year-old Julie Morris was imprisoned for filming the abuse as she and her boyfriend David Morris, 52, raped a schoolgirl aged 13.

As per a Metro UK report, the duo made their "graphic and depraved" plans a "sordid" reality.

<h2>Locked up</h2>

Julie Morris was locked up in December 2021 after admitting to 18 sex offences unrelated to her job as the 'safeguarding lead' at St George’s Central Primary School in Tyldesley, near Wigan.

Her partner, David Morris, a mechanic, was jailed for 16 years, with an additional four-year extended licence period, for a total of 34 offences. These include seven counts of rape and 13 counts of causing or inciting a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity.

Judge Andrew Menary, while sentencing the pair, had expressed shock, stating: "Every now and again you see cases, the circumstances of which are almost beyond belief."

"This is one of those cases. It demonstrates that human depravity really knows no depths."

Following this, her case was transferred to the Teaching Regulation Agency (TRA), which deals with cases of misconduct.

A three-person panel of the TRA concluded that the former teacher's actions were "fundamentally incompatible with her being a teacher."

"Her conduct ran counter to what should be at the very core of the practice of a teacher with a duty of care towards children," stated a report detailing the panel's findings.

The panel was of the opinion that Morris' actions in committing the rape and abuse "would undoubtedly affect public confidence in the teaching profession, particularly given the influence that teachers may have on pupils, parents, and others in the community".

It added that the fact she was also the safeguarding lead at the school "makes her offending all the more shocking in that, whilst the designated point of contact for welfare and safety concerns at the School, she herself was engaged in abusing a child, albeit not one at the school."

The panel also found that Morris' offences were "deliberate and sustained" and were not committed "under duress".

Concluding that there was a "real risk" of Morris repeating her offences, they banned her from teaching indefinitely on February 27.

This, as per the report, means that the now 46-year-old is barred from teaching in schools, sixth-form colleges, youth accommodations or children’s homes.

<h2>How was the couple caught?</h2>

The couple's 'sordid secret' came to light when police found a conversation about the sexual abuse of children on David's phone. The phone, which was seized during a search warrant, also had video recordings of rape and sexual abuse.

In one video, Julie Morris&nbsp;even filmed herself laughing as she abused a child she claimed was a willing participant.

Britain's National Health Service (NHS) announced in a release on Tuesday (Apr 2) that in a world's first such initiative, tens of thousands of children and adults living with type 1 diabetes are set to receive an "artificial pancreas".&nbsp;

NHS explained that the "groundbreaking device" is aimed at monitoring a person's blood glucose&nbsp;and it automatically adjusts the amount of insulin given to them through a pump.&nbsp;

The mass rollout by NHS is based on a successful pilot of the technology, in which 835 adults and children were given devices to improve the management of their condition.&nbsp;

The release mentioned that the local NHS systems will begin the identification of those with type 1 diabetes who are eligible for the programme.&nbsp;

The health chiefs believe that the identified ones could benefit from the Hybrid Closed Loop system, sometimes called an artificial pancreas, from Tuesday.&nbsp;

As quoted by NHS, Health Minister Andrew Stephenson said, "People living with type 1 diabetes face the constant stress of needing to monitor their blood glucose levels to stay healthy and avoid complications. This new technology will ease the burden on patients and allow them to manage their condition more easily, without needing to draw blood or wear a continuous glucose monitor."&nbsp;

Notably, there are currently 269,095 people living in England with type 1 diabetes.&nbsp;

According to NHS, some people with type 1 diabetes will no longer need to inject themselves with insulin with the availability of this technology. However, they will have to rely on technology to receive this life-saving medication.&nbsp;

Hate preachers with radical Islamist views will now be barred from entering the United Kingdom under new plans being drafted by the government amidst a "shocking increase" in extremist activity.&nbsp;

The British officials will identify the most dangerous extremists from countries such as Pakistan, Afghanistan and Indonesia and add them to visa warning lists. Under the new plans, the ones on the list will automatically be denied entry into the UK, according to a report by The Daily Telegraph.

Additionally, ministers also believe they may strengthen efforts to prevent those&nbsp;considered&nbsp;"non-conducive to the public good" from entering the UK by utilising already-existing national security capabilities.

This can entail putting people on the blacklist if they have a history of inciting violence or intimidation against democratic institutions or preaching racism.

The move comes after British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak delivered a dynamic speech from 10 Downing Street in London warning that extremists posed a threat to the UK's democratic and multi-faith values.

"We will also act to prevent people entering this country whose aim is to undermine its values," Sunak said in his speech on Friday.

"The Home Secretary has instructed that if those here on visas choose to spew hate on protests or seek to intimidate people we will remove their right to be here," he said.

An official review by Lord Walney, the government's independent adviser on political violence and disruption, implores ministers to address the increasing threats posed by Left-wing fringe organisations that have sided with Islamist extremists during pro-Palestine demonstrations held across the United Kingdom, as per The Daily Telegraph&nbsp;report.

"One of the conclusions of my review is to look at and understand the threat from anti-democratic far-Left groups, alongside that posed by Islamists and the far right... You are seeing an unholy alliance between far-Left groups and some of the Islamist extremism that has been seen on the marches," he told the newspaper.

"Extremism has no place in our society and we will not tolerate tactics that set out to intimidate, threaten or cause disruption to the law-abiding majority," a Home Office spokesperson said.

United Kingdom's Conservative MP Lee Anderson is facing the accusation of Islamophobia and racism after he claimed that “Islamists have control” over London’s Mayor Sadiq Khan.

While speaking to GB News, Tory MP for Ashfield claimed that Khan had “given our capital city away to his mates”.

In his rant, which was aired on Friday (Feb 23), Anderson said, “I don’t actually believe that these Islamists have got control of our country, but what I do believe is they’ve got control of Khan and they’ve got control of London. Again, this stems with Khan, he’s actually given our capital city away to his mates."

United Kingdom's Conservative MP Lee Anderson is facing the accusation of Islamophobia and racism after he claimed that “Islamists have control” over London’s Mayor Sadiq Khan.

Again, this stems with Khan, he’s actually given our capital city away to his mates." “If you let Labour in through the back door, expect more of this and expect our cities to be taken over by these lunatics," he added. 'Reduced to tears': King Charles expresses gratitude for overwhelming support after cancer diagnosis

British foreign minister David Cameron said Wednesday (Feb 21) that the United Kingdom has imposed sanctions on six officials at the head of the Siberian penal colony where Russian opposition figure Alexei Navalny died.&nbsp;

Those sanctioned, including the prison's head and five deputy heads, would be barred from entering the United Kingdom and their assets blocked.&nbsp;

In a statement, Cameron said: "It's clear that the Russian authorities saw Navalny as a threat and they tried repeatedly to silence him. Those responsible for Navalny's brutal treatment should be under no illusion – we will hold them accountable."&nbsp;

After imposing sanctions on Russian officials linked to Navalny's case, the UK became the first country to do so.&nbsp;

The West has accused Russia of having involvement in the death of Navalny, the Russian opposition leader and staunch critic of Putin. Some have even held Putin directly responsible for Navalny's death, with US President Joe Biden calling it "yet more proof of Putin's brutality".&nbsp;

Cameron said that the Russian authorities "poisoned him with Novichok in 2020, they imprisoned him for peaceful political activities, and they sent him to an Arctic penal colony. No one should doubt the oppressive nature of the Russian system".&nbsp;

Vadim Konstantinovich Kalinin was among those who have been sanctioned. As per reports, Kalinin oversaw the IK-3 Arctic Penal Colony "Polar Wolf".&nbsp;

Five others have also been sanctioned:&nbsp;

Lt Col Sergey Nikolaevich Korzhov&nbsp;
Lt Col Vasily Alexandrovich Vydrin&nbsp;
Lt Col Vladimir Ivanovich Pilipchik&nbsp;
Lt Col Aleksandr Vladimirovich Golyakov&nbsp;
Col Aleksandr Valerievich Obraztsov&nbsp;

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak told the House of Commons during Wednesday's prime minister's questions session (PMQs) that Navalny died for a cause to which he dedicated his whole life, freedom.&nbsp;

Sunak and the House expressed their deepest condolences to the family of Navalny. The British PM said that "to return home knowing that Putin had already tried to have him killed was one of the most courageous acts of our time".&nbsp;

Keir Starmer, who is the leader of the opposition, told the House that Putin had stolen "the future and democracy of the Russian people".&nbsp;

While speaking during PMQs, Starmer said, "Can I join with the prime minister, I was glad to hear what he just had to say, because I'm sure the whole House will join in sharing our disgust at the death of Alexei Navalny, who as the prime minister said died because of his efforts to expose the corruption of the Putin regime."&nbsp;

<h2>US to impose 'major sanctions' on Russia&nbsp;</h2>

Meanwhile, the US is set to announce fresh sanctions on Russia this week. “We'll have a major package announced on Friday." US President Joe Biden told reporters from the South Lawn of the White House on Tuesday.&nbsp;

Officials say the sanctions will "hold Russia accountable for what happened" to Navalny, as well as the two-year war in Ukraine.&nbsp;

White House national security adviser Jake Sullivan said the sanctions package would target a range of items, including the country's defence and industrial bases, as well as "sources of revenue for the Russian economy that power Russia’s war machine". &nbsp;

The United Kingdom has announced a new crackdown on "cowards" who kill their partners through "rough sex".On Valentine's Day, (Wednesday, Feb 14th) the UK government announced that a new statutory aggravating factor will be brought in" for this.

<h2>What is 'rough sex'?</h2>

As per a statement on the UK Government website, "abusive, degrading or dangerous sexual behaviour" that causes death constitutes&nbsp;'rough sex'.

"Cowards who kill their partners with sexual violence will face longer behind bars as the government continues to clamp down on domestic abuse against women," said the statement.

Under the new legislation, offenders will be handed down tougher sentences than ever.&nbsp;

As per The Guardian, this follows the UK government's abolition of rough sex as a defence under the Domestic Abuse Act 2021. This was done after lawyers in a series of high-profile cases took help of the act to&nbsp;secure lesser sentences for their clients.

Building on the act, the measure seeks to clarify that in law, there is no such thing as the "rough sex defence".&nbsp;

Alex Chalk, the UK Justice Secretary in a statement, said, "We must also hold offenders to account. This new aggravating factor sends a clear message that killers who threaten the safety of women can expect to feel the full force of the law."

The move comes on the heels of the latest Rape Review progress report.

<h2>"Rough sex" defence</h2>

As per a 2020 report by the advocacy group, 'We Can't Consent To This', in the UK, at least 60 women and seven men have been killed in episodes of so-called "Rough sex" since 1972. Furthermore, there have been 115 reported non-fatal assaults where rough sex is claimed by the accused — 114 of the victims were women.

Of the 60 homicides,&nbsp;a whopping 45 per cent of offenders, using the "rough sex" defence,&nbsp;got away with "prosecution for manslaughter, a lesser sentence, or the death not prosecuted as a crime at all."

As per the group, in all the cases "All of those accused of this violence, who make the claim it was 'rough sex', are male."

Reacting to the upcoming legislation Fiona Mackenzie, Founder of We Can't Consent to This campaign said: "This is an important step in ensuring that men who kill women in sexually motivated violence do not get away with a lighter sentence. "

"This change should ensure that any future perpetrators of violence of this sort are properly punished, and send a clear message that this violence against women is unacceptable in our society," she added.

The US State Department said Pakistan faced "undue restrictions&nbsp;on freedoms of expression" during the&nbsp; polls and also spoke about violence and attacks on media workers.

"We join credible international and local election observers in their assessment that these elections included undue restrictions on freedoms of expression, association, and peaceful assembly. We condemn electoral violence, restrictions on the exercise of human rights and fundamental freedoms, including attacks on media workers, and restrictions on access to the Internet and telecommunication services, and are concerned about allegations of interference in the electoral process. Claims of interference or fraud should be fully investigated," said the United States, in a statement.

The EU, in a statement, emphasised a "lack of a level playing field", and attributed it to "the inability of some political actors to contest the elections" and also emphasised restrictions imposed on freedom of assembly, freedom of expression and internet access.

The UN human rights office, earlier this week, denounced violence against candidates and political parties. It also raised concern over the "pattern of harassment, arrests and prolonged detentions of leaders and supporters" of Khan's party.

The United States, European Union and Britain said that they are willing to work with Pakistan's next government and did not congratulate any party or candidate.

In a statement, British Foreign Minister David Cameron noted "serious concerns raised about the fairness and lack of inclusivity of the elections."

Pakistan's former prime minister Imran Khan has been facing multiple legal cases because of which he was disqualified as a candidate and sentenced to long prison terms.

<h2 lang="en-US">Pakistan retorts back</h2>

Reacting to the statements, Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said,&nbsp;"We have taken note of statements from certain countries and organizations on the general elections held in Pakistan on 8 February 2024. We are surprised by the negative tone of some of these statements, which neither take into account the complexity of the electoral process, nor acknowledge the free and enthusiastic exercise of the right to vote by tens of millions of Pakistanis."

"These statements ignore the undeniable fact that Pakistan has held general elections, peacefully and successfully, while dealing with serious security threats resulting primarily from foreign-sponsored terrorism.&nbsp;Some statements are not even factual. There was no nationwide internet shutdown. Only mobile services were suspended for the day to avoid terrorist incidents on the polling day. The elections exercise has demonstrated that the concerns of many commentators were misplaced," it added.

"Pakistan held the elections as part of its commitment to building a stable and democratic society. While we value constructive advice from our friends, making negative commentary even before the completion of the electoral process is neither constructive nor objective. Pakistan will continue to work towards building a vibrant democratic polity. Every election and peaceful transition of power brings us closer to that goal. We do this not on account of the concerns expressed by others but because that is the aspiration of our people and the vision of our founding fathers," the ministry stated.&nbsp;

US, EU, UK express concern over irregularities in Pakistan elections, urge for probe

The United Kingdom police have offered up to 20,000 pounds (approx. $25,266) for information leading to the suspected chemical attacker Abdul Ezedi, on Sunday (Feb 4). This comes after&nbsp;an extensive nationwide search operation failed to locate the man who injured several&nbsp;people in south London after allegedly throwing a “corrosive substance” at them.&nbsp;

<h2>What did the UK police say?</h2>

The police announced a reward of up to 20,000 pounds for information about Ezedi, 35, the suspect in a chemical attack on a 31-year-old woman and her two daughters in south London’s Clapham.

The attack took place on Wednesday (Jan 31) which, apart from the family injured&nbsp;three others as well as three police officers who went to help.&nbsp;

On Sunday (Feb 4), Metropolitan Police Commander Jon Savell said that the laboratory analysis of the substance used for the attack showed “a very strong concentrated corrosive substance, either liquid sodium hydroxide or liquid sodium carbonate”.&nbsp;

The police are now comparing the substance with the containers seized from the&nbsp;35-year-old’s home in Newcastle, said Savell.&nbsp;

Meanwhile, the detectives working on the case said that the people who know where he is have yet to come forward and warned that anyone found assisting Ezedi would be arrested. They also believe that there are people concealing his location, reported the British media.&nbsp;

Savell also thanked the public for the dozens of calls already received and said, “Your help is critical.” He added, “I must warn anyone who is helping Ezedi to evade capture, if you are harbouring or assisting him then you will be arrested.”

In its recent updates about the case, the Met police also said that the suspect was last seen leaving Tower Hill Underground station on Wednesday at around 9:33 pm (local time).&nbsp;

According to British media reports, Ezedi arrived in the UK from Afghanistan in a lorry in 2016 and was granted refugee status by 2022 on this third attempt, apparently on the basis that he had converted to Christianity.

In 2018, he pleaded guilty to sexual assault and exposure charges but was not imprisoned.&nbsp;

<h2>About those injured</h2>

The 31-year-old woman, known to Ezedi, is in a critical but stable condition at a hospital and is said to have experienced life-changing injuries.&nbsp;

Meanwhile, her daughters, aged three and eight, suffered injuries not “as serious as first thought.”

Three members of the public who came to the aid of the family have been discharged from the hospital with minor burns. Five police officers responding to the attack have also been treated and have now left the hospital.

UK: $25,000 reward offered for information on suspect behind Clapham chemical attack

The United Kingdom (UK) warned on Saturday (Feb 4) that it is “too weak” to fight a prolonged war, adding that since Feb 2022, its stockpile of munitions was far below the level required to counter with certainty a threat from Russia.

The United Kingdom (UK) warned on Saturday (Feb 4) that it is “too weak” to fight a prolonged war, adding that since Feb 2022, its stockpile of munitions was far below the level required to counter with certainty a threat from Russia. In a 73-page report, the House of Commons Defence Committee said that the country's armed forces had deployed above their capacity in response to the worsening security situation. "But all have capability shortfalls and stockpile shortages, and are losing personnel faster than they can recruit them," the report said. The committee said that the armed forces are also consistently overstretched, and this has negatively impacted retention as well as delayed the development of warfighting readiness. "Either the Ministry of Defence must be fully funded to engage in operations whilst also developing warfighting readiness, or the Government must reduce the operational burden on the Armed Forces," the report added. 'Sustained ongoing investment needed' The defence committee said that to be able to fight a sustained, high-intensity war, the military requires sustained ongoing investment. "There is no easy answer to these problems. We recognise that the Government is considering options for improving recruitment and retention of personnel whilst also aiming to reform its procurement system with a view to building industrial capacity so that munitions stockpiles can be replenished," the committee said. Also read | US, UK carry out joint air raids against Houthi targets in Yemen, hit 36 sites It added that it welcomed the above initiatives but highlighted that previous reforms have not had the desired effect. "It is clear that the Government will never achieve warfighting or strategic readiness without a thriving industrial base and without an offer that can attract, develop and sustain enough service personnel skilled to meet the increasing and evolving military challenges that we as a nation face. These reforms need to work, and at pace," the report further said. The concerns about Russia's war in Ukraine The committee also said on Saturday that Russia's war in Ukraine, which started in late Feb 2022, has fundamentally changed the threat — demonstrating that Russia has both the capability and intent to prosecute a war in Europe. "This requires a wholesale shift in approach towards warfighting resilience both in the UK and Allies," it said. Put bluntly, we have a Russia problem if we cannot establish air superiority over where we have to fight,” Professor Bronk said. (With inputs from agencies)
